I'm so excited for you KK. Now that it's happening to you I am getting so nervous for me and Oliverio!

I have a question.....With the hardship letter should I add classes that I took for work ( CPR, 1st AID, PCA Training and Medication Administraion) as special training in my field?

Are you able to get ahold of CSC and see if they sent your packet out yet? Maybe it was approved the 18th but they just sent it to NVC today and ended up sending you an approval notice at the same time. I saw they did that to someone else today too.

I wonder if they happen to do drug tests on their employees.....they way they seem to work, I don't think they do hehe

My fiance will need to have a waiver but I am planning on going for his interview anyways. It will give me a chance to see him. My parents and brothers, sister and her boyfriend are also going with to celebrate an early Christmas with him :) Juarez is only about 4 1/2 hours away and it would be cheaper for us to drive there instead of getting 7 plane tickets. I have a beat up van that we were going to take because I don't care if anything happens to it. I drove it in Mexicali and we were fine but I've never been to Juarez. Would it be safe to take my van or should we just find a taxi?

I need some opinions! I was going to go visit my fiance at the end of November, but our approval has come so fast. Do you think I should still plan on going there or should we plan on going to Juarez for his interview? Or...should I just postpone my trip completely until we have packet 3? I dunno what to do because I really want to see him :( If I had it my way....I would be there right now hehe

Hi I am new writing to this message board but have been reading it to keep myself informed on everyone else's cases. I too have my fiance in Mexico and am only waiting for the interview letter. I sent off the petition on July 24 and received approval on September 21. I received a letter from NVC on Oct.10 stating is being sent to Juarez. As you can see, I too am anxiously awaiting to hear from the rest of you when you get yours so I can get an idea as to how long it will take.

I looks like me and you filed at the exact same time! Will you be going to Juarez with your fiance? I will be...maybe will end up there at the same time :)

Congrates to the new NOA2's!!!!

About the 601 waivers....Is it true if your fiance was here illegally you have the choice of either filing the waiver or paying a $1000 fine? My friend told me about paying a fine..but he can't be completely trusted :)

Hey Girls,
Congrats on getting your NOA2. I recieved mine back in May but still have not receive visa. See issues on my timeline. I hope everyone's interview goes well and no problems. I am currently in Mexico visiting Leonardo in Puerto Penasco for 2 weeks. Very happy to be here with him. My advise to you girls - I know when you receive your Fiance packet in the mail you will be jumping up and down and making wedding plans. Be cautious. KitKat - you know what I mean. If you have read forums about CDJ - don't expect to get Visa right then and there. I think it is better to be prepared for the worst rather than expecting the best. I don't mean to be a downer. There are so many success stories at CDJ but there are also many delays. I know Mexican employment is not easy to keep/get. You know what I mean. I thought Leo would be with me 2 months ago in TN. But we are put on AR and now I am having to visit him for 2 wks b/c he probably won't be here for the holidays. I was so 100% certain at his interview nothing would go wrong - but it did and now we are on a possible 6 month delay. I am so happy for you girls that you are now at CDJ and the process seems close to the end but I just wanted to let you know it is still a journey a CDJ and please be prepared. Best of luck to all my CDJ girls on Visajourney and getting our fiances over to USA as soon as possible.

Allie

I'm sorry to hear about your wait!!! I know me and my fiance will be denied at his interview and we'll have to file an I-601 because he was in the US illegally. I'm just excited that we are a step closer! :) Hopefully you get your approval soon! I have all of you in my prayers!!!

Hola everyone,

I just thought I would say hi, how cool all of us are petitioning for our fiances from Mexico. I just wanted to add something to this post. We have many similarities: our boyfriends/fiance's are all from Mexico, we are all in the k1 process (some a bit more ahead than others), we are all female (right? at least I think). Where are your novios from? Mine is from Jalisco!

Viva Mexico! :P

I know....this whole time I've been on here, I've been wanting to find others with fiance's in Meixco...This is nice :) My fiance is in Chilpancingo, Guerrero.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresQuestion about approval of K-1 Visa
:help: No one has been able to answer this for me and I'm hoping someone can because it is driving me crazy. I met my fiance in Arizona and he was here from Mexico illegally. When we decided to get engaged everyone told me that it would be better for him to go back to Mexico and have him come back legally, so he went back :( I have just recently filed the I-129F and wanted to know.....If my fiance was here ilegally will that effect our approval for his VISA? Also, he does not speak any English...will that effect anything? Thank you to anyone that can help me!!! I really appreciate it!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAnyone know of a laywer in Arizona

at this point, nothing much a lawyer could do. wait for the NOA1. it's your money, but i don't think there's much a lawyer can do right now.

Don't let him cross the border again - then he WILL have a serious problem. Entering without inspection one time and being illegally present is "forgivable" with the waiver. But more than one entry without inspection is NOT waivable and results in a lifetime ban. Make sure he understands how lucky he is that an option exists not only for you two to be together, but for it to be legal. Yes, he'll have to wait but in the end it will be worth it and you can certainly go there in the meantime. If he comes back EWI again - no other options.

I told the truth on my paperwork......There is no way I would of taken the chance of lying and them finding out! I've told him not to come....I will just have to make more trips out there then I can afford but atleast it will ease his mind and maybe he won't be so anxious to come back. We've talked about our options if he's not approved and he said he'd be fine with staying in Mexico as long as I'm there but financially...we wouldn't be able to make it....where he lives there really are no jobs and I know he'd be miserable staying there.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAnyone know of a laywer in Arizona

could depend on how he went back. before filing k-1 need proof of having met in previous two years. you couldn't use anything from the year and a half he was here illegally.

I drove hime back to Mexico. He was not deported and never was in trouble with the law while he was here. After he left I went and visited him in Mexico. When I filed the K-1 I only included proof of meeting from when I visited hime in Mexico.

You will not have a problem with K1 petition approval if you provided all of the necessary evidence and information - the same in a regular situation - including the time that he was in the US supports your relationship. You already had to fill out the forms and indicate when he was in the US and how he entered - EWI for entry without inspection, right? You cannot lie on the form and the fact that he was in the country illegally does not mean his petition will not be approved.

However, when you get to the point of the interview in Ciudad Juarez, he will be denied due his illegal presence in the country of more than 180 days. Then he will be allowed to file a 601 waiver and you will need to provide a hardship letter with documentation proving extreme hardship to you, the USC, if his visa is denied and you as a result are forced to relocate permanently to Mexico. Waiver approval rates in Mexico are very high but take about 6-8 months plus another 7 weeks for the second visa pick up appointment.

Since immigration law is federal, you don't really need a lawyer in Arizona - you will be much better off using someone who is very experienced filing 601 waivers in Mexico. Start with visacentral.net and immigrate2us.net. You can do it without a lawyer if you feel comfortable handling it.

(I feel like we already had this conversation - maybe I answered it on immigrate2us.net?)

Anyway, good luck - you'll be fine, it just takes a long time.

Thank you for the info! I'm just sooooo scared that he won't be able to come over here at all.....He keeps telling me he's coming back over the border because he can't stand being away from me.....Now it's going to take even MORE time then I thought it would! :crying:

Is there a reason why you'd rather haver her visit instead of you visiting?

I wanted him to visit here because I'm working a lot and in college full time and I know he would like to come back here for a while :) Any time I get off work I visit him, but it's only for 4 or 5 days at a time. I figured if he would be able to come here we could spend more time with eachother. I'm going there in Oct. so I guess there's no point in trying to get him over here until his Fiance Visa is approved.
