I couldn't have gotten through this process without VJ, especially not without all the wonderful people here on this thread. Not just March filers but everyone that rallies around to offer support, experience, advice and well needed giggles! When I started this journey I was angry and upset, I remember saying something like "I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy" but you know what in a twisted little way I'm glad I've had to wait and I'm glad that I've had questions and that it hasn't all been straight forward. I've had some great times with the people I've met so far and formed some lovely little friendships that will hopefully last long after this process has finished. It's not bad all of the time if you don't want it to be. Good luck with your journey, it's definitely going to be character building. I'm having a bed rest weekend. I've been on antibiotics this week but this infection is kicking my butt! I have my medical on Wednesday so I'm hoping to have shifted this fever by then. I hope everyone is well. That's alot of approvals going out in a two day period. BTW we scanned the whole packet 3 letter and checklist from London, but I don't really how to post documents on VJ for other people to reference. It had an April 2008 date on the form, so it's very new. Bex, hope you've ordered your police certificate and gotten your P3 stuff together because you will have your packet next week for sure. The police certificate is good for 12 months. Maybe that's why you're mad at Alan, because he's not started his part (affidavit of support). Whenever possible during this process, I filled out the forms and emailed them to Nick to print and sign. Alot of the original petition forms were pdf that could be saved. While your talking packet 3, its worth taking copies of your original documents for the interview, such as birth cert, police cert etc, they will then keep the copies and give you the originals back. There's always the reschedule option. I also read in a post long ago that London schedules you according to what date you put as your planned entry into the US. A guy was wondering why he hadn't gotten an interview. His planned entry was 6 months in the future. Somebody replied they schedule your interview about 6 weeks before the date you say you plan to enter. In that way they take care of people who want to go ASAP and push back those planning on taking months to tie things up. Sounds reasonable. Wonder if that's true? Alan has been to one venue a couple of times now and really likes it - http://www.marriott....e-mountain-inn/ I love Stone Mountain, we've spent some really happy times there and it would definitely give us the chance to have lots of nice outdoors photographs, the room opens up into the courtyard too, as were hoping it will be in September the weather should be lovely. The building is very "southern" and with it being a Marriott they are giving us a good discount for guest rooms. Hopefully Alan and I will be staying out of the way at the Evergreen resort just across the park. Haha this plan changes everyday ... we are having a big wedding ... we aren't having a big wedding ... who knows! xxxxxx Lol we went to Stone Mountain too on my first visit to Jay, I have many happy memories of that day. Whoop! bex - i'm glad you're feeling better today. hurrah!!! i agree that it is the little things that make all the difference. david sent a very funny photo of his son lucas to my cell phone last night. i laughed for at least 10 minutes. we got to talk this morning on the phone for a few minutes, too. that's exciting that you have your wedding dress already. i bought my wedding dress a few weeks ago! here's a photo. i am so excited about it. i have always wanted a beautiful pale pink, vintage dress. it's all hand-beaded with beads and pearls and has beautiful lace on it. it was a steal, too! $35! i might even buy another dress since we'll have our court house wedding followed by a really big shindig with friends and family later (once we've regained some of our sanity after this process). i agree that having something in your control, like working out, can be an excellent diversion in this process. i'm trying to exercise on a regular basis to kill off any anxious feelings i might be having. it helps quite a bit. the bonus is that the gym i belong to has a cable television on EVERY cardio machine, so i can watch television while i do my cardio. i don't have cable at home (trying to save $) so at least i can go to the gym and watch hockey or nascar... or whatever The dress is lovely im sure you will look great	Sal and Jay	Female	England	2008-04-22 15:26:00
