Canada	Case complete at NVC! Any have a July interview scheduled for Montreal yet?	Hey everyone, I'm not sure I'm asking this question in the correct place but here it goes. Please don't judge me as what I'm about to say is very hard on me emotionally and the choices I've had to make were not easy. My interview I for July, I have been anxious, excited, and also scared. I've been reading up a lot on the types of questions they ask during the interview and my main concern is in regards to my 2 children that will not be accompanying into the United States. They currently live with their father. He is not to be around mine and my husbands daughter due to safety concerns, also concerns involving my safely. With that being said would this be an issue at my interview? Would I be looked down upon for this. Surely I could explain why things are the way they are but it would be a lengthly explanation. Can congresspeople resolve the situation after it has gone to the consulate for approval/rejection? Or are they not useful after NVC has sent the petitition to the consulate? Is there even any point trying to fight it since she has filled out and submitted the form to withdraw the petition? I feel like she has just been railroaded. Im sorry to hear this but I dont understand why you would show them such photographs, as the K1 is for unmarried couples. Im sorry I cannot give you any advice as to what you should do now. I just couldn't leave Steve there alone, so I grabbed my MS drivers licence and headed back down to the consulate. Got taken through security and went downstairs to wait for the elevator, which was to be at 8:05am. At 8:05am, the security guard came down and we were called up to get in the elevator. The security told me my 'husband' was already at gate 9. I walked in the room and there Steve stood-SO relieved to see me!!! Thank God I did come back because I had to write a letter stating that I am free, clear and willing to marry him. Steve handed over all of the paperwork requested, no evidence though. She said we were approved and then we waited for him to be called for fingerprints, and pay his $131 American cash. He then waited for his interview, which was like 1 minute long or something. I did not go in with him for that. They asked him: -How we met -When we decided to marry -Why he decided to move down there (south) -What is he going to do for work -Has he ever been arrested Simple enough, eh? So, we left with HUGE smiles on our faces and came back to the hotel (now it wasn't snowing, figures) and called EVERYONE! Word to the wise, as most of you know, DO NO BRING BRIEFCASES!! ONLY BRING CLEAR BAGS-no electronics, including the remote for your car that is on your keychain. DON'T leave your purse or other belongings in the cab The better organized you are, the better. I placed each separate document in its own malina folder, well labeled-they were impressed. Now we have to get moved. I just reserved the U-pack moving company. Thankfully our rate went down about $200!!! I have less than two weeks to get everything packed up. Steve will be working another 5 days & he'll be done! She explained the process of mailing back the visa etc. and sent me on my way. Less than two minutes. I got out by 9:30am. A gentlemen I went in with(he was "B", I was "C" was out by 9am). Advice: -Make sure you have all your documents in order and organized(remember to bring photocopies of your originals) -As for payment- you can pay cash(make sure it's' $400 US dollars! or bring more for CDN- depending on the exchange rate) and I believe you can pay with credit card -If you don't have your expresspost envelope(a girl next to me didn't have hers), they will supply one and charge you for it. I suggest bringing one with you. There's a CANADA POST in the Complexe Desjardins(on the lower level). It's two blocks away from the consulate, where the Hyatt is. I just bought mine yesterday when I arrived. -If you need to stay in a hotel, stay close to the consulate. I stayed in the Days Inn Downtown on Rene Levesque which was a fifteen minute walk- which I didn't mind. There's La Tour Centre-ville across the street, the Hyatt(pricey) two blocks away -Bring a magazine or something to read -Do not bring large purses etc. A woman who was sixth in line was sent to return a briefcase and ended up at the end of the line Good luck to all you!
