A man came on a motorcycle carrying a big envelope with her passport!! WOW!! God is great... Thank You to all VJers!! After the 2 months wait.. It has paid off.. Now its either I will buy them a rush plane ticket on monday to leave with me on tuesday night or extend my flight again.. This is the best Anniversary Gift of all... I'm now at the lobby of Bayview Hotel across the embassy 12:30pm and writing this post about my experience before I leave the hotel. We finished our interview at around 11:15am and before I go out and start celebrating with my family and fiance, I want to update you fellow VJ'ers because I know how important these posts are to you who are having their interview on April 23rd, 24th and 25th. I'll skip all the specific details about filling in line and getting your ticket number etc because its pretty much self explanatory. But before you get into the embassy, have your appointment letter with one valid ID before you enter the Embassy. Today we met up with about a dozen VJ members including Sandy, Prime & Ryan... ETC. Sorry for those I do not remember, because I didnt really ask for everyonnes profile. I was surprised to see that there were about 100 K-1, K-2, K-3 who were interviewed today because I wasn't expecting that many who are scheduled. Before you get your ticket # in the que. Have all these prepared before you reach the window. (about 1 hour wait) 2 copies of DS-156 (paste the picture and sign the applicant signature), 2 copies of DS-157 (one from the bank that is validated, and the one that you filled up yourself) 1 copy DS-156K After this step, you wait to get scanned for finger prints. (about 30 mins wait) The most important are the documents that the pre-screener asked for. I was asked if I was the petitioner. Second, if my fiance has been married before. Third, they requested for Birth Certificate, NBI Clearance, 2007 ITR (1040) most recent and the affidavit of support. Lastly, they asked my fiance if she worked out side the Philippines. They did not ask for the Cenomar, Check Stubs, W-2s, letters, email. I brought 3 years of ITR and W-2s but were not necessary. They only asked for the most recent 1040 2007 ITR. The pre screener did ask for pictures, but we had enough with the petition that we submitted with the I-129F. After the pre-screen we sat back down and waited about more than 30 mins for our ticket # to be called for the final interview. Then we waited to be called for the CO. The CO that interviewed my fiance asked me to step outside the door and leave all my documents with my fiance. Most of the petitioners who did attend were admitted in the interview room, but I wasnt able to go inside. The interview took about 5 mins while I waited outside. The CO was very nice and asked these question. First question, the CO asked about my parents (petitioner) what do they do for a living. Second question, if my fiance was married or pregnant before Third question is on how we met. Forth question, CO asked about the restaurant that we went to when we first met. Fifth question, CO asked where he can buy a good egg tart. Sixth question, CO asked if my fiance knew this other bake shop Seventh question, CO asked if my fiance has been to the US. Eight question, CO asked about the denied tourist visa she applied for June of 2007. (if my fiance's intention was to visit me) My fiance said NO. Last question, CO asked how we communicate. Then CO was writing, he quickly said that we were approved!!! The whole interview lasted for 3-5 mins. We really didn't time it, but my fiance said it was very easy and the CO was very nice. we were at window 32. We asked for a visa pickup but the CO says they no longer let people pick up the visa. The CO asked why we need the VISA pickup, and we said because we have our reservation and we will be leaving on May 2nd. The CO says he will try his best that we get our visa before that because they are no longer allowing visa pick up. We then filled and paid for Delbros to deliver our visa with others who got approve with the PINK SLIP. Everyone seemed to have gotten approved. I didnt see any white slips. Also, I see people smiling after their interviews which means they got the approval. For everyone who will be having their interviews this week or in the future. My advise is to just relax and have all your documents ready. Do not be nevrous or worry too much. If you have all your documents ready you will be approved. Also, get your DOC verification early, we paid for our doc verification March 6th and NSO received it on March 17th. (do this early so there will not be a problem). We just received a text from Delbros that our VISA is going to be delivered today 4/25 or on Monday 4/28! I was surprised to receive this text from Delbros because I did not know that they send a text to inform you that you will receive your visa. (they got our cell phone # when we applied for the Visa Delivery at the US Embassy.. Which means we are receiving our visa after 3-6 days after the interview. (you cannot count Saturday and Sunday because Delbros is closed) So for all of those who are curious on what we did to make this possible. Here is the summary. After paying document verification from Delbros, it will take almost 2 weeks until NSO will receive the request form from the US Embassy. You have to follow up from Delbros when NSO receives this. That is the first date that you have to count from the interview. (you do not count the 4 weeks when you paid document verification) For example, we paid for document verification in March 6th. On March 17th, NSO received the request form from the US Embassy. From March 17th, you can count 4 weeks after the date. Our Interview was on April 22nd. So its more than a month already before our interview. When the Embassy in Manila receives the petition, then you can pay for your document verification as early as you can. Like if you are married before, it will take more than 4 weeks because NSO will have to check your CENOMAR. Good luck for all of those who passed their interview this week in receiving your visa soon. My fiance and I will be leaving for the US on 5/2. At around 6:30am we were inside the US embassy, wait for our time to get in line and get the assign number. After having the number we wait for our names to be called for the finger scanner. I was called at the pre-screener window at around 9:40am and interview with the consul at 10:30am. The interview with the consul went smooth. The lady consul was so nice to me and she smiled when she cannot pronounce the last name of my fiance. The interview lasted only for about 7 minutes. She said i can wait outside for my papers to be called for the visa delivery. We were out at around 11:30am, and the four of us went to lunch together with Maria Nina mother and baby, Gie, Ana, me and my aunt Lalaine. I think it doesn't matter if you arrived early or just before your interview time as long as you're not late..hahaha The guard asked me of my interview confirmation, i thought it is the email that the embassy has sent me but he's looking for the letter that the embassy sent with your case number and an id...but you also need to bring your appointment letter. Went straight to Gate2, one by one you have to pass by the metal detector and put your things at the xray machine...got no problem at all as I don't have any gadgets. After the xray, you have to go out and turn left to go to the immigrant section. I thought k1 visa are non-immigrant but there's no one in that room so i went inside the immigrant section room where there are lots of people. (Also asked the guard if i'm in the right room) The room was also full so I just sit near the seafearer's section, waited for my turn to get the ticket number... While waiting for the guard's instruction, a lady came and told us to prepare the ds forms and make sure to fill them out correctly and completely. As she said, if you leave some numbers blank it's like hiding something from them..so if a question is not applicable to you..just put N/A. Also in DS-156K, which is under "DO NOT WRITE BELOW THIS LINE"..she said fill it with your fiance's name and sign it while waiting. When the guard asked for those who are on 7:30 schedule to fall in line at the ticket booth..i hurriedly went there..gave them all the DS forms: 2 DS-156, 2 DS-157, 1 form from the bank, 1 DS-156k, and my appointment letter. I was asked how far my pregnancy is. Then she told me to sit down and wait for my name to be called for fingerscanning. that's STEP 1. STEP 2: Finger Scanning You should be attentive while waiting for your name to be called..around 8:20 my name was called for fingerscanning at window 33. It was fast and easy as the lady who's assisting is nice and smiling so it didn't last for 5 minutes that's including waiting for your turn and the finger scanning itself. Sit back again and wait for your number... STEP 3: Pre-screener My number was called at 8:40 am at window 25, the prescreener is a nice lady..she's accomodating and smiling.. She asked for my: 1. NBI 2. NSO BC 3. NSO Cenomar 4. Affidavit of Support 5. Pictures (She didn't asked for emails, letters, or any other evidence, maybe she thought my being pregnant is enough evidence at all ) Here are the questions she asked: 1. Is the father of your baby the petitioner? I said yes (obviously) 2. How did you met? 3. What's the job of your fiance? 4. When are you due? 5. How many times did he visited? For how long? After that she said, just sit back and wait for ur number to be called again... I think it just lasted for 5 minutes only. STEP 4: Consul Interview My number was called at exactly 9 am at window 32.. But I needed to wait outside because there's still an interviewee inside.. I waited till 9:20, while waiting I thought I will have to take that long to finish the interview..got nervous again..hahaha So here it goes.. Went inside, i thought the consul was a little bit far from the door but then just when you entered the door there's 2 chairs in each side then it's the consul's window already..He said Good morning and i replied back..didn't take a sit until he told me to do so.. He looked like a nice american guy..maybe in his late 20's..a little chubby....he looked nice. Here are the questions he asked me: 1. Who is the father of your baby? 2. How did you met him? 3. What is he doing? 4. What I'm i doing? 5. When are you due? - at this part he was like counting the months and then asked his collegue about how long is the validity of the visa...so he said it's 6 months then he's like..oh ok i think you can still make it..just make sure you get the baby's NSO BC as soon as you deliver so that you won't have any problem if you wanted him to be with you when you leave..as I know that it will take 3 months to get an NSO BC..I told him it's just 2 weeks to 1 month..and he said ok then he paused and enhale deeply...and typed something in his computer..while he's doing this I can't help but notice how his stroking the keyboard..(hmn..i don't want to think he's a gay..hahaha..) after typing something..then checking back the documents..he said..OK, you're approved! Just wait outside and wait for your name to be called..Goodluck for your baby!!! I said thank you! and i gave him a big smile. As I walk going outside the consul's room..i'm like floating in happiness..thanking GOD for the gift he's given.. While waiting for my name to be called..i could feel baby Rohan kicking inside me..maybe he's happy that we're approved..and i know that he's my lucky charm!!! Then my name was called at window 38, this is the releasing window..he gave my pictures back..gave me pink slip..then asked me on how far im i..then suggested that i should get a boarding pass for baby before leaving the country. I thanked him and went to the delbros area. At delbros, i filled out a form for the delivery of my visa..then paid 250 pesos..then went out the embassy.. NOTES: I wasn't asked for my baptismal..letters, emails..and document verification..I think it's because i paid last March 25 and it's enough for them to verify my documents. I also saw SHAPE at the embassy..it's just that we have to be separated because she's on k3..but did saw her just after my consul interview. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	May 2011 Filers	Yes When we were adjusting my status from K-1, my husband forgot to sign the check so they sent the whole package back to us . Normally they explain in a letter the reason why they return the package. Guys, I'm super bummed out...I think they returned my package for some reason. I got something from immigration sent by certified mail to my house today. Since no one was home I have to go pick it up tomorrow. I was kinda hoping it was my NOA but my check hasn't been cashed yet so I really don't think its that Has something similar ever happened to any of you?
