We posted our petition off yesterday 6th and should arrive at lockbox today on the 7th. My US fiancee is wondering if she can visit me in UK once the petition is hopefully approved ?? I really hope to show her my home country before I move to the US. Thanks again Paul   Congratulations on your submission!   My fiance visited me in the UK whilst we were going through the K1 visa process - he actually accompanied me to the interview at the embassy.  It was for mainly the same reason as you - I had already visited him 4 times and he wanted to see where I grew up, meet my friends who thought I was crazy to move 4000 miles away and to meet my mom (who sadly passed away three months later - but at least they got to meet and she could see how happy I was).  When I visited him, I always took plenty of evidence that I had to the return to the UK.  I was only asked for anything once - for my return ticket on my last visit.  Check out the 'Yes you can visit' thread, if you haven't already.  My fiance didn't bring anything with him to prove his ties to the US - he even forgot the address I was staying at temporarily when asked at UK Immigration!  They still let him in but I suggest that your fiancee is a little more prepared than mine!   Why do you feel that this is a worrying time?  Because of the wait (nowhere as bad as when we went through this when K1s were taking 9 months to approve)?  Because of the approval/interview process?  Is so, visit the UK sub-forum and be reassured.  Although I finished my K1 journey in June, please feel free to PM me any questions.  Now in the middle of AOS. Photos are secondary proof of meeting.  I would include copies of the relevant pages of your passport(s) showing entry to US/Luxembourg which is primary proof of meeting. When you say that he received his 'passport back with a stamp', do you mean that the K1 visa is stuck to one of the pages of his passport?  If so, then he should be okay and he just needs to pick up his package. My then fiance had to provide me with a copy of his divorce decree for my interview at the London Embassy.  The US website certainly says that you should - http://travel.state....pes_2994.html#6  My then fiance had been married twice before, so we had to get the divorce decree from his 1st marriage which took place over 40 years ago!  Seems daft. Good luck to you and good luck to us!!!! As for the "proof" we are sending photos as well as a few itineraries for travel however I Wish I had more receipts etc.I wish we would've kept more things. We are also sending two wedding invitations from friends's weddings over the past two years and our photos at the wedding. That should corroborate  the date I think...maybe. I don't know. Any help we can get before we send off this packet will be greatly appreciated.   You need to focus on the two years prior to filing your petition.  You need to show proof that you have met in the last 2 years - primary evidence is boarding passes (better than plane tickets as they do not definitively prove that you traveled), passport stamps.  Photos are secondary evidence.  Other evidence you can produce is anything that shows you in your fiancee's home town and you in theirs.  Credit card receipts for gas or meals is a good example.     Good luck with your future life together.  This equality of opportunity is great, although it should have happened years ago.  If only everyone would be able to get married in every US state, that would be better. Photos are secondary evidence as the date is not verifiable. Primary evidence is boarding cards, passport stamps, evidence that you in the same place together. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Same Sex K-1 I-129F Filed	I filled out the I-129F application, making sure to fill in every question. Please read through the application's instructions a few times so that you feel comfortable filling it out. I created my 1-129F Cover letter, and our letters of intent to marry from the templates on this website. I only changed one thing on the letter of intent to marry letters, and that was to include that we had every intent to marry within 90 days of entry into the United States in a state where it is lawful. As far as evidence of our relationship, I knew I only had to send 3-5 pictures, but I sent 26. I included pictures documenting the 10 years we have been together. I figured what more evidence can I send to prove we've been together in an ongoing relationship than pictures that document our aging together. I did not send letters or anything more. I am not saying you should not send, every situation is different. I did go to my bank and requested a temp check to pay for the application fee. This way I would be able to see the day USCIS cashed my check.     The very best of luck on your continuing journey together.  It was such a good day when section 3 of DOMA was demolished.  Same sex couples should have been given the same rights long ago.   Just a question on your petition.  You sent a number of photos but what did you send to show that you have met in the last 2 years (obviously, I know you have been in a relationship for the last 10 years).  As you have presumably driven back and forth over the border, you don't have airline tickets/boarding passes like those of use that travel 4000 miles! It used to drive me mad when we were,going through the K1 process in 2012. It took us 9 months to get our NOA2 and we were at CSC. I just stopped looking. Not so great today.  I've just got off the phone from NVC and they say our case is in Additional Review - which is strange because it appeared to come out of additional processing last Wednesday.  When I said this she said 'It's Additional Review, nit processing.  We don't do any processing here.'  She suggested I phone back early next week.   It's so annoying - to have been waiting so long and now stalling again.  Someone who I've been communicating with through VJ has an NOA2 date one day earlier than us and their package has already arrived at London and been registered!  (Also, they have an NOA1 date in September, so especially galling).   Our chance of being married on 12 July is slipping out of sight now. NVC finally received our file yesterday!!!   We're looking at rescheduling (we canceled our June 15th wedding) for July 12th also!   Oh!  That's funny!  We're getting married in Wisconsin Dells - it was originally booked for 19 April but the deposit we paid is okay for 12 months, as long as we give them reasonable notice that we want to reschedule. So now just waiting on that. Finally got my fiance to send off for tax transcripts. Everything my end is ready. He'll be here to visit next week wooo!! I haven't seen him since last year.   Just got off the phone from NVC (30 minutes on hold before answering) - we're out of AP!  File being completed to send to London.   I've got everything ready - have you ordered the 2012 tax transcripts also?  They only take about a week to arrive with the USC.  I hope he receives them before he gets on the plane to come to see you!  Has he done the affidavit of support and bringing a signed copy with him?   I'll probably leave the US just after Memorial weekend and then he comes to visit me for the first time in London the 3rd week of June (we're doing that instead of a vacation this year).  We have the wedding provisionally booked for 12 July.   We still hope we can make that date as it's his birthday. Ha, well we kinda have that problem, im not sure what order exactly things happen next, im pretty sure all things my end are sorted but my fiance hasn't even started his affidavit We need his stuff ready before i can make any appointments n stuff right? You can make the medical appointment without his stuff. Just the case number. You really need him to work on his affidavit of support so he's ready to sign it once you have the info from the embassy. I got my fiancé to complete his whilst I was over there for Christmas. Have you ordered your police certificate? They're valid for 12 months (I ordered mine last October as NOA2s were coming through quicker then - I hope like hell that I don't have to order another as 12 months has elapsed!). Today we got RFE'd (checked via case status)which yeah kinda sucks but to be honest I'm grateful so see any movement and hopefully once we send the reply hopefully not longer than a month or 2 from now, we'll have noa2! OMG this is so great, I didn't think they did any work on fridays and thought it'd be months till we heard anything Also damn by the estimated time of noa2 it'll be like 10 months that's if there's no delays. It's crazy that we get happy to get an RFE. However, it does mean that your file has been looked at and, as long as the RFE is minor, you should have your NOA2 soon. I so hope that all of your petitions will be approved soon, too!!! I thought this day would never come. Now let's hope this means CSC is finally doing they're job again. Oh - I am so, so happy for you. That is so great - one of us guys from July who has been stuck has been approved. Our NOA1 is 6 days earlier than yours but, of course, we already know that they're not doing them in order. Your approval has given me renewed hope (also means they've retrieved the petitions from the toilet). Oh - by the way, how did you find out? E-mail, text or checking the USCIS website? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July Filers!!!!	My fiance begrudging called uscis yesterday after being told to wait 30 days... Welp even though we are past the national average, we are not past the working on date (the one that hasn't been updated since december) so we pretty much have no grounds for a service request or to complain. It's almost 250days and i wont be shocked if this takes much longer and we end up in 300+ club. The system fails some people and it's bitter sweet to see people in September have their noa2s now. There has been no further movement with the uscis numbers surrounding ours, which leads me to think they are done with that box or forgot it?? We've considered abandoning the petition and moving somewhere in Europe or perhaps filing for spousal visa if we don't hear anything soon. I saw that guy who posted about a 400 day wait and I could not last that long. Some of you may be thinking it's a rash decision, but it's very possible we wont get approval anytime soon and spousal visa may take just as long, the upside to it is that we wont be bound by half the stuff when I eventually move to america. I know how you feel. Had we known then what we know now, we would have gone the spousal route. Possibly longer but at least we would be married. My other concern is that when the bottleneck at CSC is sorted, there are going to be a lot of NOA2s and packs going to London. I'm worried that there may be significant wait for interviews. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	July Filers!!!!	24 July CSC filer with nothing to report. We're both finding it really difficult at the moment. I fractured my hand (little finger metatarsal on the right hand and I'm right-handed). It's been splinted. I slipped on the wet steps of a double-decker bus in London. It's particularly difficult because my fiancé is well aware that if I were with him, I would be driving a car and not on public transport. I'm 50 and this is the first time I've been to A&E and the first time I've broken a bone - boy, is it painful! I've booked yet another flight to the US for 3 April and going to wait it out until we know our file is with the US Embassy (presuming that is no longer than 90 days from 3 April!). I know there's a chance I won't be let in this time but I would hope that an immigration official can see we're doing this all the right way and I have to come back to the UK to complete the process. United Airlines are doing very well out of me! I just can't sit tight in my single room of a shared flat knowing that my fiancé is in our apartment in the US whoch has about 90% off my stuff in it and I've made our home. And, yes, I know I'm lucky. I can afford to travel and there are lots of people who are unable to and the VWP makes it a lot easier for me to travel. I just wish we had our damn NOA2! July 19th NOA1 with CSC, just got approved (officially was approved on March 7th, but for some reason they didn't email me so I just got the letter today). It was approved the same day I got a senator's aide to send a request for expedite, not sure if that was a coincidence or not. Congratulations! I would have thought that was coincidence. A Senator's aide is unlikely to have worked that quick! Out of interest, you said that you didn't receive an e-mail but has the USCIS website been updated and showing your approval?
