IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Aug 2013 I-130 filers	Because "some" foreigners have prior US visits (students, temporary workers, Visa-waiver visitors etc where crimes were committed on US soil )  and possible histories --- all foreigners have to go through it.   The NVC has a mandatory check.      Those two are US based checks - to ensure that you've never committed a crime on their soil and on US territories.    The police certificate ensures that you're of good moral character in YOUR country as well.    Thanks for clearing that up gabeRao! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Aug 2013 I-130 filers	I don't know all the red flag reasons, but most of the ones we hear about are "high fraud countries" - ie a disproportionate number of applicants are in fake relationships, designed only to get green cards. Email/text came in at about 10:45pm EST. I'm actually still in shock. They are moving quick everyone... There is hope!!!   Congratulations!! No mail delivery since last Wednesday because of all the damn snow in Maryland! And the lull on the tranfers this past week.. its no fun for all the members still waiting for a transfer!   I want the weather to start behaving and USCIS to start moving their butts!   Oh wow, you were transferred a week ago!! Time for your approval then Forget about hardcopy, some here get approved before receiving hard copy! I hope that happens in your case   My PD is 21 August and no transfer yet for me...
