IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	NVC Filers - March 2014	Also, a question for any Japanese filers:  They asked for the koseki shohon. Since that means the "family register" and not the large marriage certificate we received, I was wondering why they asked for that? My husband had to go to the ward office and they refused to give it to him at first saying there must be some mistake and the USCIS was actually requesting the koseki tohon. It was really confusing and frustrating.  I translated the document myself, which I hope will not be a problem...after all this waiting I felt I could do it on my own and it would be a waste of time to have a company do it for us...I hope this wasn't a mistake. If you are truly married there should be no denial, right? After all this time though I feel like anything could happen, and it is making me nervous. If anyone has some knowledge on the subject, it would be greatly appreciated here!   Thanks!   Yes, there is a mistake. They are requesting your husband's koseki touhon. That one is a transcript of his family records. The shouhon is only an excerpt and often omits anything that has to do with former spouses such as divorces, annulments, and deaths. USCIS definitely wants to know about that kind of stuff. You need to get the koseki touhon from your city hall or ward office.   I'm sorry I can't help more with the RFE stuff. Our case was received by the NVC on January 27 and I honestly think this was the most stressful part of the immigration process so far. We still don't have a IIN yet, though. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	(SIGH  )   We are both so frustrated.  This waiting is horrible.   Were we all stupid by doing this the legal way??      I sometimes wondered that as well, but I always reminded myself that this will all pay off in the end. After all this, we get to spend the rest of our lives with our spouses that we have waited so long to be reunited with again.   As my husband always says whenever I cry about this: this is just a small percent of our lives.   We cry about it now, but the sadness we currently feel will be just a distant memory this time next year.   Hang in there! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	Congrats! I assume you received no RFEs in such a short amount of time. Just out of curiosity, did you send in the beneficiary birth certificate with your I-130?     No RFEs! We were shocked since TSC is notorious for RFEs.   There really aren't birth certificates in Japan, just family registries that list family members, their spouses, and children. We sent in the original print-out from our then local city hall with a translation. Since it listed him and I as married, I think that it helped our case a bit. I was feeling hopeless after my latest call to the customer service line, but reading this topic made me feel a little better.   His application was transferred to Texas on December 13. Every time I check our case status online or call that 800 number, it seems the message is different. The worst was today! Up until today, the automated message said to wait 60 days before filing a complaint. But now it says to wait 180 days! I think this is the most frustrated I've ever been! Hello my name  is Idi amin from Africa.My wife and I were married in 2011 and she helped me get my green card and six months later she abandoned me citing that she doesn't wanna be married.However I refused to divorce her but despite;she went ahead to file for a divorce with a bunch of lies and placed and order of protection on me.We got a divorce in januray 2013 and I have now had to remove conditions which i did on april 16.I put in the following stuff after hiring a lawyer:Divorce decree,Electricity bill,Lease,affidavits from neighbors,friends and my apartment complex,bank statements and our both names on the couch we purchased together.I have been having sleepless nights as to whether my case would be approved or not.......what are my chances of removing conditions on my Green card????I'm so confused and need help??? Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	I remember with my son eating tums like they were tic tacs, my heartburn was really bad . The tums seemed to help after a few hours but I was in pain for quite some time, I should have asked my doctor for something. The Tums Ultra worked well for the first two trimester, but when the third hit they no longer worked that well, and I was taking the maximum dosage. Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	UGGGGG I hate heartburn I took 1 150 mg ranitidine tablet (I think it is the generic for zantac) a day, and it worked wonderfully for me. I bought the walmart equate brand and it was about $4 a box. My heartburn was usually the worst right at bedtime, so I would take one mid afternoon (they are good for 12hrs) and that would cover me. No snow for us the kids are bummed out they miss it, but all we got was rain and wind. Or to tease the new mommies who are trying to lose the baby weight...lol!! We only have 2 DQ's in Knoxville and they are both in gas stations, so they are not the full service ones. I am sooooo sick of them playing their spanish music loud every night and not being the least bit quite when they are having 'relations" UGH!!!!! Our lease is up in just over a month, and we are moving....I can't friggin wait. All I can say is they are very lucky that Hubby isn't home right now...It sounds like they are literally ready to come through the roof...I am ready to go up there now and he is not as 'tactful' as I am. Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	Complain to the landlord. In this apartment building although they are only 3-4 years old/new, the floors make it impossible to not hear everything. Plus it is fake hardwood. When we first moved in we had 10 complaints about my son running around the house and my dogs nails clicking on the floor. (although I think both of these complaints are absolutely stupid as dogs have to walk and children play) We went out and bought a large area rug for our living room to help with the noise and we stopped getting complaints. BTW Our landlord was the one that suggested an area rug, I still think stupid complaints... You on the other hand are pregnant and need your sleep! Tell the Big college guys to keep it down or they will be dealing with the wrath of a scorned pregnant woman and one day a crying baby. (seriously if it keeps up, the first time your child wakes to their noises I would march up and say what are you going to do to help make her fall back asleep seeing how YOU woke her up.) I think if I see the other tenents in the next day or so I will casually mention it to them. I hate going to the landlord right away, because I know that they are pretty strict about things like that here, and maybe they don't realize they are making that much noise. So I prefer to go straight to the source first. If it keeps happening I will talk to the landlord. We keep a fan on in the bedroom for some white noise so that you don't hear as much, but last night was one of those nights I was struggling to get to sleep, so every little noise seemed 1000 times worse!! Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	OMG, the people living above us are driving me insane!!! It doesn't matter what time of day there is some sort of stomping/banging going on up there. It is getting very annoying. To top it all off, the building is a bit older so the floor above us squeaks in a few places and that makes it just that much worse. They are college students and pretty big guys as well, so they definitely are not light on their feet. We NEVER heard the people who lived above us before this point, but the people who have moved in are the heaviest footed people EVER. We hear them clomping around all evening and I can still hear them moving around past midnight when I get up for one of my many bathroom trips!! The worst is the morning when they put shoes on and walk around. Part of the apartments have laminate flooring, so the sound just resonates right through...especially if someone is wearing any sort of heels. We have a lease here until the end of March, so I am really hoping that we can get out and get into a house at that time. Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	The day before I left for Canada I got a statement in the mail from the bank for my deferred profit sharing from my former company. It was a transaction record that showed all of my funds had been transferred from my account, with no explanation as to where it had gone. So I called the bank and they had no record so they had to open an investigation. A week later and I had not heard anything back from the bank, so I called back and they told me that my employer had decided to change the company which managed the funds, so it was transferred to them. I didn't get anything in the mail from my former company. Now I have spent over a week trying to find someone at my former company who can tell me who to contact to find out about my money. Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	Im afraid of this as well. I have always worked some form of customer service, be it on the phone, in a store, or as a manager for franchises. I have plenty of experience 10 years of which was at the same company. However, i have not worked in over a year. And the Chicagoland area is pretty damn packed for people looking for new jobs etc. The only thing making this a little bit easier come next month, is that David finally got his promotion, and a pay raise for the first time in two years. After the last month of back and forth and him not knowing where he stood, he finally got his answer. And of course our fist pay has to go to the vet now My dog Lex has developed some sort of allergy and we can't figure out what its from. He's been on benadryl for the last few days waiting for his vet appointment, but even that wont stop him from literally scratching his skin to shreds. We had to tie one of my shirts on him to stop him from scratching and will have to probably get blood tests done. I was pretty sure his food was fine, it's the Salmon and brown rice with no corn formula, but now with all the damn geese around here, i'm wondering if he picked something up from them on the grass. Poor poor puppy is soo itchy and upset he is ornery and barky and growling at everyone. Too bad Wes can't get us jobs at blizzard eh? LOL then again..maybe i dont really wanna work for Activision lol. My dogs have been like that as well. One came down with a really bad case of dandruff, and wasn't scratching so much, but when you scratched her back she was enjoying it a lot more than usual!! The other one has been more itchy, especially in his arm pits, mid belly and his back....he can't stop rolling around on the carpet!! They are both shedding more than usual too. I took them to the vet and they just gave a shampoo and conditioner with some benedryl and moisturizer in it. I am not there, but hubby said that they seem to be doing a lot better with that stuff. Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	Our last elecrtic bills have been close to $300 for a 1000sqft 2 bedroom apartment, that is completly shaded. We keep all the blinds closed and rarely cook on the stove or use the oven. I was in shock when we got the first one that was over $300 when my 2 story w/ finished basement house was only about $70 a month. I think it is becasue the AC unit here is old and inefficient. People never use their turn signal when changing lanes, just swerve in and out of lanes, never check blind spots and the "slower traffic keep right" concept has never been heard of!! Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	grumble..getting irritated at uscis ..again..geez. still no biometrics appointment for my aos and ead. and no one can tell me whats going on. all they can say is dont ask for updates on your aos until DECEMBER, liek ####### is that? OH and dont call us back about your bio until the end of august, i cheated and used both receipt numbers to get two different service requests. one on the 6th when i gave my change of address and again today. i mean seriously. ####### is with the delay. i mean other than receipt notices i have no proof of anything. i mean what would i do if i was stopped? my passport i-94 expired on july 5th..any joe blow sees that they think i'm here illegally...how would i prove otherwise? i mean they arrested some poor porto rican accusing him of being here illegally and held him and interogated him for two days in chicago... I am still in the same boat...I still haven't even had a touch on my AP and EAD since I submitted it at the beginning of June. It has been 44 days and still not even an appt letter for biometrics....it seems most people recieve these within a couple of weeks of the NOA1!!! Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	I am very close with most of my family. They have just spent 10 days here with me for the wedding, and I loved having them here. Because of the distance they really haven't had much chance to get to know Simon, and they finally got to spend some quality time with him and get to know him. When I was home after my interview one of my sister's was worried that I was making a mistake and spoke to me about it. I did my best to reassure her that I wasn't, and after spending the time here this week, she now feels that I have made the right decision The only person in my family who has issues is my brother. He always seems to have a chip on his shoulder and thinks that he always gets the short end of the stick. When I go home, I try to divide my time equally among my family, but my brother always seems to have more important things to do. And eventhough I try to plan to do things with him, he is busy doing other stuff. Then when I go home...he is pissed off that I didn't do anything with him. He has never congratulated us when we announced that we were expecting, never called to wish us good luck or congrats on the wedding. His kids had to ask my sister to give us a card and gift from them. I always hang out with his kids when I am home and take them to do things, go to watch their hockey games and such, so I have a good relationship with them. It is just my brother. I know that I have done everything I can to make an effort to have a good relationship with him, but he chooses to make it difficult. When the time comes he is going to be the one who has regrets, not me. That is how I look at it. Canada	The Vent Part Quatre	sigh..so i go to my landlord office, to find out about the extra 100$ deposit they made my husband pay only to find out they increased the price..and wrote it wrong on my lease...and then i find out my free month rent doesn't apply to my pets..and i find out i pay for my water...when water and heat were supposed to be included. so in the end i ended up paying 910$ deposit for what was suposed to be 600...all because of a new manager that took over and doesn't know her butt from her elbow..argh.. then i make my day worse by calling uscis..as it's been over a month and i have not gotten my bio notice yet..and i'm told we put in a request please call back in 45 days..i also changed my address with them same time. now i don't understand why they can't forward the info to DHS as well.. then i try and change my address online with my bank, only to be told i'm a non resident and can't...so now i have to go back in to my bank when it's open and i have the car to update my address. people are just stupidly dumb today /sigh from what i hear around these parts, no one gets the security deposit back either which is why i'm upset and frustrated. grr stupid landlords. i miss my regie du logement in quebec I still didn't recieve my Bio appt letter either. I just got one saying my case had been transfered to CSC today. Hopefully the Bio appt letter comes soon....I am getting anxious to start getting some money coming in soon.
