If some one, PLEASE, can tell me informations about REQUEST FOR TRANSCRIPT OF TAX RETURN , can i get also the W-2s from IRS by the mail using form 4506-T or i should use only 4506 form and pay the fee?

If you call 1-800-829-1040, they will mail you the tax transcripts for free...

Link: http://www.irs.gov/n...=105370,00.html

No, you won't get the W-2s back, however the Tax Transcript itself has all the info from the W2 and it is an official document for USCIS.

Joe.

P.s.: I ordered mine via phone for the years 2006 through 2008 and got them in the mail in about 1 week.

its hard to have something more if you dont live together

We are trying to determine which route to go. Would you let us know what made you file for the IR-1/CR-1 instead of the K-3?

the K3 and IR1/CR1 are taking pretty much the same time to approve
the IR1/CR1 is cheaper and it is less hassle in the long run

VJ represents only 10% of the total received applications at the service centers. Go by what USCIS says off their timeline website.

i would say vj probably represents 1% or less
i would suggest that the op try calling the service center though

Please stop telling this person to be patient unless you have been through this kind of thing YOURSELF. Has your wife tried to get Senators and Congressmen involved? That would be my suggestion if you have not already done so. There is really no reason a security check should take this long. Good luck and I hope you get things resolved soon.

seriously though.. why do so many people complain about how long this process takes? These people might be granting you residence in THEIR country. Why do so many talk and post like this is something that is owed to them?

i don't think its a matter of thinking its owed to them
i beleive most ppl genuinely miss their loved ones
and when you couple that with the financial stress of the process, it makes ppl frustrated
interestingly i see you have no timeline, why don't you create one?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresK3 Visa or IR-1 CR-1 Visa..whats the difference ?
theoretically, a K3 is supposed to expedite your entry to the US by allowing you to travel before your green card is approved
if u choose the K3 you will have to adjust status when you arrive in the US

the CR1/IR1 theoretically is supposed to be longer than the K3 but you get your green card upon entry in the US

the reality is that the K3 is taking just as long as the CR1/IR1 and it works out to be more expensive due to the fact that you have file to adjust status and some ppl believe it slows down the initial approval of your case but that is debatable

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresBetween USCIS & NVC
It takes 2-3 weeks nowadays for your file to get to nvc

1. You can call them at 6033340700 and select the option to speak to an operator, give him/her your uscis case number and they will tell you whether they have your case or not
2. Your husband can mail his DS3032 to them and select you (the USC?) as his agent of choice, in that case he will need to send the DS230 and accompanying docs to you to send them off
3. You send the 864 to NVC, you send this off before you send off the DS230 i beleive

i'm still a rookie, especially in relation the last two questions
but this is the understanding i have gained from reading through several threads

post #396 summarises the process beautifully : http://www.visajourn...h...t&p=3311106

QUOTE (GabiandVi @ Aug 30 2009, 07:21 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
There is no reason to delay activating your IV. You can activate it October 1 and then return to home to your country October 2, then reenter the US as a PR in January. Why wouldn't this work for you? You still get to travel to the US but not permanently move there until January.

I don't think the other way will work for you. I don't see any border agent going along with this as it is totally unnecessary.

i was thinking this same thing too

You can enter on your visa and leave again to tie up loose ends in your home country. You wouldn't be the first to do that.

You would need your GC to get back in again but you can either wait for that to arrive (about 4 weeks) before you leave or have you husband send it to you by courier. Make sure you will be back in the USA within 6 months to avoid problems.

You could also travel on the VWP and ask the CBP officer to allow you to enter under that scheme and leave your visa unused but they may not agree to do that.
NOT ADVISABLE!!!!! NEVER SCHEME ESPECIALLY TALKING TO A CBP OFFICER!!! THEY WROTE THE BOOKS ON THE TRICKS, TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!!!! I CAN TELL YOU SO MANY STORIES ON THIS SENERIO!!!!

Provided you came in October and would be back again in Janaury 2010 using the visa is the best option. If gives you an earlier resident from date and hence earlier qualification for citizenship if you so choose.

how could it be viewed in a negative way by the CBP officer?

from what I understand, you are to send the police report with the DS230

so he only needs one report

QUOTE (matt01 @ Nov 7 2009, 08:02 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
All I have is tons of our ceremony photos and a receipt of our wedding bands we brought. Is that enough?
My wife is thinking of making a small color album of our ceremony and end photos of us signing our marriage certificate. I also have flight tickets and intinerys of us flying to see each other during our relationship apart. Some 30 family members attended our ceremony.

USCIS is not looking for evidence of marriage, they are seeking evidence of a bona fide, ongoing relationship
sending a ton of photos is not necessary, you should save those for the interview, if it makes you feel comfortable though you can probably send a few
copies of your tickets and itineraries are very good evidence of your ongoing relationship

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresHELP WITH 1-130 FORM
the answer to this question has been heavily debated
when i filled out mine i left it blank and i got noa2 with no rfe
some ppl put the country of their spouse in the second part of the question and they get their noa2 with no rfe pertaining to that question
the question is very poorly worded and i think the relevant authorities should consider revising it

are you sure?? but it says if I am in US at the moment...then I should fill...but I am not...so regardless...I should say Montreal, Canada??

Sorry, just trying to make sense of this form!

that is EXACTLY why i left the whole question blank

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresBonafide marriage?
if i am not mistaken the USCIS wants you to prove a bonafide relationship which goes beyond the marriage which is proven by a marriage certificate
a bonafide relationship is proven by evidence of ongoing interaction between petitioner and beneficiary (travel evidence, pictures, co-ownership of assets, etc)
i don't think its possible to open an account in the US without a SSN however if you can open an account in the country of the beneficiary, that would serve as evidence of co-ownership of assets

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDS230 question

the certificates needs to have both name listed on it.otherwise, they might reject it and you might have to submit it either here at NVC or at the embassy.

not true
as a wife filing for your husband, his father being on his birth certificate has nothing to do with it,
my father's name is not on my certificate and i gave his details on our forms and had no issues
i believe that issue is relevant only when it is a parent filing for a child or vice versa
