Mexico, Latin & South AmericaHELP! Only Mom listed on Birth Certificate

Why are they asking for both names to be on the birth certificate -- only MIL name was on his birthcertificate and we had the new birthcertificate. We also put his dad's name on the other forms we had no problems.

same here
to the thread starter, where are you seeing this instruction for both names to be on the certificate? or are you going by hear say?

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaHow many pictures do we NEED??
i would have 10 or 12 in total (including the two he usedd for the police report)
so he needs 8 or 10 more
i believe he needs 4 for the medical, 2 for the ds230 (or 4), and another 2 for the interview

The Brothel

The madam opened the brothel door in Elko County , Nevada , and saw a rather
dignified, well-dressed, good-looking man in his late forties or early fifties.

'May I help you sir?' she asked.

'I want to see Valerie,' the man replied.

'Sir, Valerie is one of our most expensive ladies. Perhaps you would prefer

someone else', said the madam.

'No, I must see Valerie,' he replied.

Just then, Valerie appeared and announced to the man she charged $10,000 a visit.

Without hesitation, the man pulled out ten thousand dollars and gave it to
Valerie, and they went upstairs. After an hour, the man calmly left.

The next night, the man appeared again, once more demanding to see Valerie.

Valerie explained that no one had ever come back two nights in a row as
she was so very expensive. There were no discounts and the price was still $10,000.

The gentleman did not blink an eye. Again, he pulled out a wad of cash,
gave it to Valerie, and they went upstairs...After an hour, he left.

The following night the man was there yet again. Everyone was astounded
that he had come for a third consecutive night, maybe a record in the
history of brothels in Nevada , which date back into the early 1800's. But
without hesitation he paid Valerie the ten grand and off they went upstairs.

After their session, Valerie said to the man, 'No one has ever been with
me three nights in a row. Where are you from?'

The man replied, ' Billings , Montana .'

'Really', she said. 'I have family in Billings .'

'I know.' the man said. 'I regret to tell you, but your sister died, and I
am her attorney. She asked me to give you your $30,000 inheritance.'

The moral of the story is that three things in life are certain:
1. Death
2. Taxes
3. Being screwed by a lawyer.

hey everyone~

I got Troys police cert today. There are two of them. There is a place under his picture that says "to be signed by person named above" but he didnt sign. Should I sign for him? Do I send both of them to the NVC with our DS230, or just one? I need some help before I eff this up. Do you all remember what your spouses PR's looked like? :bonk:

i didn't sign it
and when i got to the interview they gave it to me to sign
its not an issue, i wouldn't sign for someone on something like that
i sent both of them with the DS230 and made a photocopy for myself

Well still trying to catch up but wanted to thank everyone for their positive encouragement and Prayers ( Lawny I love you! :innocent: ) where my boys are concerned. Last night I nearly dropped when my oldest son told me he would sign the behavior contract I implemented for them and that he was ready to become a part of the family again. Praise GOD, it has only been almost a year and I had no idea where the light a the end of the tunnel was I had faith that the Creator would pull me through. I was so happy at that moment and although Motherhood always presents its challenges with a stronger family unit we can work through anything in the future.

Wayne Chen’s visa cancelled

Businessman expresses surprise at US action

BY KARYL WALKER walkerk@jamaicaobserver.com

Friday, February 26, 2010

HEAD of the State-run Urban Development Corporation and the Jamaica Employers' Federation, Wayne Chen, was severely embarrassed when he turned up with his family at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston on Wednesday and was informed by local immigration officials that his United States visitor's visa was cancelled.

Chen, who was travelling to a business meeting in Los Angeles, California with his family, expressed shock and surprise at the move by the US Government. The trip, he said, was to continue work on a project involving business retailers from several countries.

"It has really taken me by surprise as I have been travelling freely to the United States for 30-odd years," Chen told the Observer yesterday.

He said he was informed by local immigration staff that they had received a call from the US immigration authorities that the visa was cancelled. As a result, Chen's family decided to cancel their trip.

"I am taken aback. On leaving the airport I called the Jamaican ambassador in Washington. My wife also called the Consul General (at the US Embassy in St Andrew), who told her they had no reason why but confirmed that it was cancelled a month ago," he said.

He said he was at a loss as to the reason the US authorities had decided to place a restriction on his ability to travel to that country.

"I have been a public figure in this country for 15 years. It is really distressing to know that my visa has been cancelled without notice," he said. "I can't imagine a reason why. I was at the US Embassy some weeks ago looking about a visa for a family member and I presented my passport and I was not informed of the cancellation."

Chen -- whose SuperPlus chain of supermarkets posted sales of $2 billion in 1998, making it the second largest retailer in the island at the time -- said the wasted money spent on airline tickets for himself and his family was the least of his worries at this time.

"This is being taken up at the highest diplomatic level. I have already spoken to the prime minister and it is being looked into by the Jamaican ambassador in Washington and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," he told the Observer yesterday. "I am now writing to the head of the US mission here to get an explanation."

A number of Chen's supermarkets are now closed, ending what was once the largest locally owned retail outlet business in Jamaica.

Yall have me rolling!!!!!!

So instead of going back to the hotel I decided to cross the street and walk dung Dead End Beach.. I really needed a minute again. My feelings were all over the place. I had no idea what to think. I watched the waves crashing and what not and just took a minute out. I know what my heart wanted to do but my head was screaming girl don't do it.... Which one should I listen too. I heard someone screaming my name and it was Star. She was walking towards me. She was holding the phone like here you have call.

Hello
Where are you
Who Dis...
He said his name. I've been looking for you all day and I haven't seen you anywhere around
Oh I left this morning I'm back in Mobay
Mobay I thought you were staying in Negril
Well I was but my girl wanted to leave.
Oh
You leave tomorrow right
Yeah
So I guess I won't see u
Naw
Too bad I was thinking we could hang out today for your last night
Oh you should have said something
Well I didn't think you would be gone so quickly
Sorry
We were quiet
Well alright then I guess I'll talk to you later. Can I have your overseas number?
So I gave it to him.
Talk to you later
Yeah Yeah

I hung up the phone and looked at Star. Come on let's get ready my friend is on his way. I stopped," Is he coming alone or with Flava Flav?" She laughed alone. Alright then I'll roll. As I walked back to the hotel I couldn't stop thinking about the call.

"It was her fifth marriage and it would have been another failed relationship," Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez said a frightening warning sign arose during the conversation she had with her sister two hours before the stabbing.

"She told me that on Monday night she came home from work and found him (Craig Mulgrave) on the kitchen floor with a knife tucked into his pants and a noose around his neck," Gonzalez said. "She said she chose to ignore it and went to bed," she said, remembering her sister described it as a cry for attention that she refused to acknowledge.

there are 328 comments and OF COURSE someone posted something ignorant

I am trying really hard to remain PC and not offend those who are too sensitive for their own good. But, why is it whenever this type of tragedy happens too often the perp (not always) is not from this country and the union is usually inter-racial. Something tells me she was white. I have the same situation next door to me. White woman, black guy. She works two jobs while he does nothing but slap her around until late last year when he finally killed the poor girl. What is it with these "women" and there desire to date, marry outside their race. By the way? I am not by any means trying to be a racist here. Just stating the obvious.
