Mexico, Latin & South AmericaBLUE SLIPPED WAIVER FEES JAMAICA
QUOTE (sweetness @ Sep 8 2009, 09:38 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
See you got it twisted..... The reason why his medical was not done on time is because his intial interview was originally scheduled for June 24, 2009. Because I also filed a K3 visa app. that also reached the embassy around the same time and that interview was scheduled for May 20, 2009. We did not know of that May 20th date until May 15th if you read my previous post you would know that. He could not get a medical appt scheduled for so short notice of the date in May. I stated we were prepared for the June 24th interview and because both were in house the embassy went ahead and interviewed him for the IR1 instead of the K3 on the scheduled K3 interview date. if both petitions are at the Embassy at the same time, then the IR-1 visa takes precedent over the K3 visa. He did not falsify the docs himself. If you really want to know he purchased the visa from someone who had an inside connection with someone who works with the embassy and visas. He visited twice with the same VISA and went back to JA the third time was just a bit much. My relationship is all good. I am not worried about what you may be insinuating. He has plenty of opportunity to go otherwise. Let's say he has learned his lesson and paid the price. So you can take the bitter with the sweet. Like I said before the reason why I believe the system is the way it is because of TERRORIST.. Drug smugglers and prostitution trades. So you check yourself and check the levels..................DO YOUR RESEARCH.......

so no false documents dat?
anyway sweetness, i'm kinda on the fence about this but i still wish you all the best

Hey Lawny,

I feel like some liver yam, banana and dumpling tonight but Hubby wants to grill. The man is now addicted to the new grill! He puts pots on it and everything he said he wanted to do Cow foot soup in the pot on the grill blink.gif

Well yuh know I eat and cook just about everything since my Parentage is fused between the both cultures, but one thing I can't get my Hubby to eat is goat balls which I love. They taste just like liver Yummy!

I'm so frustrated by Digicel's website!

First of all, how you gonna increase the cost of the international plan to $1200, but NOT change the top-up options so that a person can purchase $1200 in credit with one purchase. Tired of dealing with my bank denying these int'l charges and having to spend 10 minutes on the phone with the fraud department.

Second, Steven's sister is competing in Digicel Rising Stars this year. kicking.gif I was really hoping to see a clip of her audition, but the clips on Digicel's Rising Stars website are from last year, and no matter which audition city you click, you see the same Mandeville clips. Even if I couldn't watch the audition, I was hoping to be able to vote for her online, but didn't see an option for that. I guess we'll just wait until Friday to see if she is one of the top 3 from Montego Bay.

which one is she nat?

he has caught on somewhat though
but he lets me do all the talking when we're in jamaica

laaaaaaawd the poor man, looked terrified

and he can't understand a word anyone is saying
we agreed we wouldn't go there again lol

This reminds me of one time I went to Lucea (it's funny how they say going in Lucea...as "in" instead of "to") and I mistakenly step on the back of this lady dirty flip flop..slippers they call em. I honestly didn't know. But she went off on my sister in laws (twins 14 y/o at the time) in patois. So I kept walking cause I didn't understand one word and wasn't in the mood to figure it out. It was too hot. Well she followed us home and told on me to my mother-in-law. MIL was like...she's an American...she didn't mean to do it. Bwoy then Ryan found out and wanted to confront the lady too. Lesson learned...don't walk in Lucea...only take drive.

offtopic45vn.gif Do the goat in Jamaica bite people?

nah goats are harmless but intelligent creatures
can i tell you how one time i saw a goat walking with her afterbirth hanging out blink.gif
i love them though
if i had it my way i'd start an animal farm and rescue all the stray animals no joke
i went downtown to help feed homeless ppl on sunday
and while my colleagues were feeding the ppl i was tempted to sneak out some of the food for the stray dogs lol

Bunzarelli, thanks for posting what you have stated, because it is so true, once the Jamaica leaves jamaica, he doesnot look back. So, that sweetheart that he is talking about that he will bring here once he has obtained his divorce, is so far off of his radar, the sweethear has moved on too.

Most of these guys that runs these scams finds that there lives are no better here in the USa, than it was in Jamaica. They have lost their finanical pot.

i know a lady who literally fretted to death because her husband left her promising her he would return and he never did
and it didn't even take him long to start with the foolishness
within 6 mths of leaving he pretty much cut off communication
and when you think about it, what does it say about someone if they are desperate enough to resort to that, to trick someone into beleiving they love them for an opportunity. he has the wool fully pulled over her eyes

Had two very interesting conversations in JA which seemed very relevant to the board.
They have some people employed as 'Tourism Corps', basically for tourist information etc.
Got talking to one of the guys, he was decent looking, very clean cut. He told me he had been with his childhood sweetheart for 15 years, they had two kids together and lived together. He said he had met this American woman who fell in love with him, and even though his 'wife' didn't like the idea, he was going to marry her, come to the States and diverced her as soon as he could and bring his kids and the girlfriend over.
I asked him how on earth his girlfriend was happy with him doing that. He said that she wasn't too happy, but she realized that it was for the kid's best interest and even for their best interest as a family. He went on to say he took his American woman round to meet her and the kids. He said his mother was a christian, and while she wasn't too happy either, she didn't condemn it because he had to do what he had to do. Said his mother talked to his American girlfriend all the time, cooked for her etc.
Another thing he said that he was using to justify the whole scenario is that he said his American girl was older and had on 'weight', so she couldn't possibly expect to get a young, fit guy like him for her own just like that.
Asked him if he mentioned that to her, he laughed.

man i have sooooooooooo many stories about that
ppl do not understand that having residency in a first world country (is not just the us alone) is like gold for ALOT of jamaicans
that man's childhood sweetheart might as well forget about him
because there are VERY VERY FEW men who resort to those tactics who turn their mind back to jamaica once they leave
and as trelawny says, you reap what you sew. God does not sleep. that is a FACT! and is nuff a dem sell dem soul fi greencard and they are no better off for it
might as well dem did stay a jamaica an suffa di way dem end up a live when dem reach farrin

We got back to the airport and said our goodbyes, then I headed through the gates. (I have figured out over many trips that dropping my luggage early, then having DJ just pull up and drop me right before my flight decreases my chance of bawling!) Got in to the terminal, and found out my flight was delayed, and leaving from gate 5, which I thought was odd – I have never left from the left before, always the right – Well, when we got on the plane, we found out why – They rerouted our direct flight through Kingston! We were informed as we were taxing down the runway – so pissed! By the time I landed, got through immigration, to my car, and home, it was 3 am!

All and all, the trip was a good one – lots of quality time, lots of family time – And meeting JAEng was awesome, we had an instant connection and it was like I met my long lost sister!

Well, just checking in real quick since we're at an internet cafe in Negril. We went to our 7:00 a.m. interview yesterday and......

WE WERE APPROVED!! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif

I'll post more upon my return in 2 weeks since I don't anticipate being back at a computer until then. I'll tell you all that it went pretty smooth & we were out of there by 9:00 a.m. The ladies that saw us were both very nice. We managed to navigate our way through Kingston although we had a few hairy moments with him not being used to driving in city traffic & me trying to help him with road signs. We also stayed at the Prestige the night before & I highly recommend it.....decent price, A/C, good food & very close to the embassy. Now we just wait for the visa which God & embassy willing will only take 5 days....please pray for us so he can come home with me!

No time to catch up.....gonna have a lot of pages to read when I get back but hope everyone is good!

Lata!

Yardies, My soon to be hubby went to his medical today in Kingston. He said it took forever because there were a lot of people and he had to keep waiting for different steps in the medical. He said he need two more vaccinations that were not on his immunization card. They told us to bring 27,000 for the medical but he said it came up to 16,000. They said to call for the results on June 9th and he should be able to pick them up.

My soon to be hubby asked them when he comes to pick up the results will he be able to know them as well. He said they told him no, and they are not allowed, he can only find out at the interview. I thought some yardies knew their results before hand? I don't see what the big deal is.

I will be arriving in Jamaica on June 9th so that I can attend the interview on June 12th.

DaDa and jakeswife, do twins run in your families or was it total coincidence?
