And it is not that I am in a big rush to get my citizenship. I am not planning to enlist or serve on a jury, or vote in the near futute. My delivery due date is approaching and I don't feel like travelling to Kansas City with an infant.

I live 4 hours away from Kansas City, so the Infopass option is no good. And when I called USCIS in the past they were pretty helpless answering questions for your case in particular. They just read ####### off their monitors like robots. Sorry for the harsh words but that is true.

I am also begining to be alert. I had my interview a month ago in Kansas City, MO. And still no appointment for Oath Cer. It says that a ceremony should take place within 45 days of recommended approval. And I have not even been scheduled.

US Citizenship General DiscussionOath this aft - anything else I need?
I can hear you, brother. I was driving from the hospital after fasting/having my blood work done. Felt nauceaus and sick wanted to get home quickly - not to start throwing up while driving. I guess that cop can be proud of himself fining a pregnant woman feeling sick.. What else can I say.

Ok, BOB. I appreciate your answer.
Let me put it this way:
Could $126.5 speeding ticket "put serious doubts on my good moral character"?

Cause if there is even a slight chance to being re-scheduled. I'd say "screw it" I am not driving (4 hours one way)to Kansas City being 8 months pregnant to be rescheduled. In that case I may get another ticket on my way home..

US Citizenship General DiscussionOath this aft - anything else I need?
I am thinking - why they ask those questions on the back of Oath Invitation? Can they refuse to give me my naturaliz. certificate if I answer yes to one of the questions or reschedule me or something? Out of three years in the sataes that was my first speeding ticket...so mad at myself..

and the notice does not say if answered "yes" please explain below... The question is Have you been arrested, charged, cited, convicted, fined or imprisoned for braking the law??? And when I put "yes" it sounds so terrible.. the notice does not give space to explain thatit was just a speeding ticket..

Bora bora and V33k THANK YOU!!

But I guess I confused you. I am not a conditional Permanent Resident. I am just a Permanent Resident. I am not sure if there is any difference - should be.. I filed I-130 for CR-1/IR-1 and got my green card. And it says on the paper that came with it -apply for a new card 90 days before this one expires using I-90 form.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionGot Biometric Appointment Today !
I need advice.

I moved to US 2 years ago (green card holder through marriage). Now my 2-year green card expires (04/15/10)and time to apply for a 10-year green card.
Does anybody know if biometrics are needed for that? Since they took my photo and fingerprints two years ago??
Or I just fill out I-90 form?? It said on the paper with my green card that in two years I'll have to file I-90.

But why are you mentioning I-751 form?? should I file it too ?I am confused..

Seems like everyone is sending the original docs to NVC (like marriage certificate). Can I make a copy, translate it and notarize and sent NVC? Will it be ok? as I am afraid the original might be lost even observing your advice (writing a case number on every doc)

Do we need a joint sponsor if my hubby was making over poverty but under 125% last year (as he spent 5 months with me in Ukraine not working)??

I am the only immigrant.

Mariya....

I think I answered you before on this. But I will repeat myself. So please write it down or print it out. YOU DO NOT NEED A JOINT SPONSOR if your huband is CURRENTLY MAKING ENOUGH MONEY!

For year 2006:

1) Your husband will need to provide a copy of an IRS transcript for year 2006 - or - copies of tax returns with supporting w-2, 1099, etc...
2) Write a note: "To whom it may concern, I made ($$$) for year 2006 because I was outside of the US for 5 months and not working during this time.
3) Attach the note to the 2006 taxes.

FOR YEAR 2007:

1) Get 6 months of pay stubs and make copies.
2) Get a letter from husbands employers:
"To whom it may concern,
Mr XXXX has been employed is currently employed with our company
Mr XXXX makes ($ ) annual salary

WITH THIS YOU DO NOT NEED A JOINT SPONSOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nutty, thanks again. But I asked this question on Oct 10th and got a very clear reply from you on the same day. Seems I have not ask the same question again any more..
But the reason we are still working on this affidavit of support form is that my husband is not making any money right now. He just got a new job in a tiny private company. They pay almost nothing to him right now.

I think that the baby qualifies for US citizenship. I am not sure about that fro 100% but will tell you my case.
My husband (US citizen) and I were married in Ukraine and had a baby born in Ukraine. US Embassy here issued our baby a US passport and Report of Birth Abroad. So we had to file only one I-130 for me.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresGot Interview next month, Do I need to show 2007 ITR?
Hi, I also got my interview scheduled for Feb 27th!!!!

And I got a letter from NVC in the mail telling when my interview will be and what i need to bring with. One of the reminders says:

"If a sponsor filed I-864 (Affidavit of Support) and provided the NVC with the proof of IRS Federal Income Tax Extension in lieu of a Federal Income Tax Return, the applicant must bring the sponsor's most recent Federal Income Tax Return to the visa interview".

What is that? Am I really gonna need that? (My husband filed I-864EZ to NVC and everything was fine with it).

I am reading all your pieces of advice and have noticed that one may send to NVC certified copies of birth and marriage certificates.

And what about the police certificate? Can I send also a certified copy?

Just to have the original with me and take it to the interview later?
