K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	complaints	Does anyone have experience with filing a complaint against DOS regarding the administrative processing time? I am wondering how it will affect our case if I complain. I was reading on the DOS website that the special security clearances are usually completed within 20 days (per testimony on how the process works made to congress). I feel that cases that go beyond that time should be told why and they should have a reason other than the country the person is coming from. I'm interested to hear what other VJers think about this. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	ANYONE WAITING?	If you haven't called you may want to. I found out that the NVC had my case by calling (only waited about a week before I called) and received the new case number at that time. You may have to ask for the case # if they do not offer it. It may be as easy as obtaining your information via the automated system but they are slow at updating that. The automated system will accept your USCIS case # as identification. Currently my fiance and I use Yahoo Messenger with webcam and the free calling that it offers. It is pretty good considering it is a free service but of course it's nothing like physically being together. We used long distance phone cards, purchased on the internet for our calls which saved lots of money. They also produce a printable "call log" of all calls for interview evidence. I visited her 5 times in the time since we met until she arrived. We also worked on all our Packet 3 documents. I downloaded packet 3 when I sent the petiition and we got all the documents we needed, got them translated, everything was ready before we got our NOA2. The day the embassy got our case, I made the interview. As it turned out, we never received packet 3 from the consulate, good thing we were prepared and not waiting for someone to send something. Thanks for the advice! I save all of our messenger conversations onto a pindrive. I have them all nice and organized by date and month. I plan on taking that to the interview just in case. We have already started working on the packet 3 as well and we are really at a stand still point until we are a bit closer to the interview...I sent out the I-129F packet on Feb. 12, only 8 days ago. So we are super prepared, ready and all of that. Just struggling daily with the waiting. I don't know, I guess we are just going to do the best we can and get used to the waiting UNLESS..............we can smuggle her in my carry on! I have the case number and I am checking the USCIS site almost daily (like everyone else I imagine). Just curious as to what a "touch" looks like when you view the case status.
