K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any June 2012 K1 Filers?	Yeah, it sucks not hearing anything. They said if you dont hear anything after several months I could call to check on it again. I check the website every day to see if they have updated anything ( using my tracking number ) and they have not touched it since the 8th. I hate this because it makes me feel nervous but at the same time it makes me happy because we do not have any RFI yet. Let us hope the best for both of us. My date is being told 17th October at this point... but again those numbers change daily. Best to focus on the documentation that is needed for the interview. Hi folks. I'm just checking in. We're approaching 2 months. Sim is still here until August 20th, but we're both starting to realize how very little time that is. This will probably be the last time we see eachother until we're approved. Super depressing, but hopefully we'll be back together within 6 months. After everything else, we can make it 6 months no problem. I have been regularly checking the uscis website and there is no update. No touching either. No RFEs, which is good, but since they haven't touched it since 06/11/2012 that means nothing. Waiting is super hard. I just keep hoping to be one of those freak petitions that gets processed in like 2 months. At least we are still together for now. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any June 2012 K1 Filers?	I'm so excited about all of our June filers. It looks like 6/14/2012 was a busy day for the USCIS seeing as how they sent lots of texts/emails and cashed lots of checks. I can't wait for us all to start posting updates. If you get an RFE, post about that. I am a bit worried about that piece myself. You just never know what they might kick back. I've seen lots of people posting about financial stuff. Did any of you send anything financial in? I didn't. Did I miss that? I agree with the other posts about posting frustrations and stuff. I'm sure we'll all need support from people going through something similar. I know most of my family doesn't really get it. I guess I know the waiting will not be fun, but this process is something most married couples don't go through. I have a feeling those divorce rate statistics are much lower with couples who truly have to work at being together like this. Ok done with my rambling for now. I was surprised to see that the NOA1 date is actually 6/13 (receive date is 6/11) since we got the text message on 6/14. So we are happy to be one day closer... Good Luck to all and a speedy vj Maybe that will be our situation as well. Our packet was delivered on the 11th, check cashed and text/email on the 14th. 1 day closer makes me happy too. We have nearly everything needed It is so nice to be able to chat with others going through the same process at the same time! Best wishes to all - Denise & Andrew I started getting things together in February. LOL We just sent the packet on the 8th. I thought I was going to be a March filer. We obviously didn't have our stuff together. I was totally lost until I found Visa Journey. Let us know when you file. Our packet was sent to Vermont. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any June 2012 K1 Filers?	i must also say that it is neat to discuss the k1 visa process with people going through it at the same time. please june filers, if you get any updates or RFE, then please share with everyone. this may help others going through this process to know what to do and what not to do. I like this too. I think it would be really helpful to see where everyone is that files at the same time. I'm nervous about RFEs as I have no idea what to expect. I am lucky right now that Simon is in the US with me. He'll be here until August, but probably won't be able to come back after this until he comes back for good. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any June 2012 K1 Filers?	We sent our Packet1 June 12 too but we didn't get return receipt yet ?? What do you mean return receipt? From your shipping company or in the form of the NOA1? If it helps, I mailed our packet on Friday the 8th with 2 day priority shipping to the physicial address to get a signature confirmation. It was delivered on the 11th (Monday), I got the email receipt from the USPS on the 12th. On the 14th, the check was cashed and we got the email and text confirmation from the USCIS that our packet was received and headed to VSC. I haven't received the NOA1 in the mail yet. I except it either came today (I haven't gotten the mail yet) or early next week. I'm sure you'll be fine. YAY!! I'm excited to see other June filers. Did you get confirmation from you postal service that the petition was received? Same situation here. The packet was signed for on the 11th and we got the text + check was cashed on the 14th. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any June 2012 K1 Filers?	I wanted to see if there was anyone else who filed in June. We've been gathering everything for 2 months. I wanted to file in April. It's a pain. I mailed out application overnight on 6/8/12 and received the signature confirmation that it was delivered on 6/11/12. My fiance (Simon) is from Hereford and is here for 3 months, so hopefully the waiting process won't be too miserable. Based on my location, it should go from Texas to Vermont. I'm curious to see the processing times. Does anyone know if the processors are assigned applications based on the beneficiary's country? My fiance is from Englang. She said that since they have the electronic copy there shouldn't be any delays, which is cool. I agree. I thought it would be much easier, less frustrating, etc at this stage too. Wrong wrong wrong. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2012 Vermont Filers	The NVC told me to call the embassy and check with them. I'll do this tomorrow, but I won't raise my hopes too high... I am just happy our case finally ( ) left the US. He has his medical exams before he recieve anything from the Embassy? How did he do this? The process is different with every embassy. In London, once you have the new case number, you can schedule your medical. It can cause delays, though, if you have your medical before London can log your file. Since it only takes about 4 days after the medical to get it back at the (London)Embassy, they might have your medical info floating around without a case to tie it to. Since they shipped our file from NVC on 12/14, we figured a month would be plenty of time. We have all of the other forms complete, but need the letter from London to send that stuff in too. We were hoping to have the letter and ship all of our information back to the embassy straight away and maybe get a February interview. Not looking very likely now. I will call the DOS tomorrow to see if London has received (or logged) the file. Lets hope. If so, then at least we might not have the big delays having a medical without a case can cause. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2012 Vermont Filers	good!! congrats! Called the NVC today. Our case left the NVC for the embassy on December 28th! We didn't get any e-mail or mail from the NVC at all... The USC will get a letter, but it's delayed from what I noticed. I called and found out our new number and everything. Our file left NVC on 12/14, but fiance hasn't gotten anything from the US Embassy. I hear you about the nerves. He has his medical check next Wednesday. I really did everything I could to be as seriously nice as possible in the hopes that she would do something special for me. Waste!! She did (or said she did) try to put in a service request, but said it wouldn't let her. Maybe I shouldn't have called at all bc now I'm like more antsy than I was yesterday. Novembro - have you checked the website about your case? Am I the only one that's like totally frustrated about seeing 2 freaking approvals per day?!?!? Where did the 10 a day go??? She said they use 5.6 months as a standard, but they don't do service requests until the start of the following month, which would be 6 months. She said if my status hasn't changed as of the 11th (my NOA1 date) that I need to call back and they will open a service request for me. She said they can't see if it is assigned or anything. Now that we are in the June filer approval zone, the wait is unbearable Same boat here. We have the same NOA1 date too. I am getting frustrated, because I am not seeing people posting approvals. I want to see like 15 a day. 1 or 2 isn't cutting it. Plus...I have also heard that Saturday is a business day for the USCIS. I never see petitions approved on Saturday. Was this wrong? I hope that's just their standard way of telling us to wait. I am relieved to see some June filers getting approved now. I can hardly wait! June 5 noa1. That's straight from the website. They were working on April 16th as of September 30th. That's their way of saying that they have no idea. The regular phone people don't offer much in the ways of help. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	June 2012 Vermont Filers	It's hard and we're all feeling the effects. I'm lucky that I got to spend the summer with Simon - he left on August 20th, but this has been the hardest 3 months. I think it makes it all the more harder that we don't have definite timelines and so much could happen. I mean our lives are in the hands of someone else. People that don't know us, likely don't care and see hundreds (thousands?) of cases just like our every month. To me, that's the part getting me down. Even though I know we'll do everything we can to get everything situated and all will be ok in the end, it is still hard and lonely living every day without the man I love and worried that something will cause us to wait even longer to be together. I'm a planner and it's hard not being able to plan for the next 3 months or 6 months. I'm pretending to plan a March wedding. I am getting everything ready, so that we can book/buy/organize as soon as we know. Beyond that? I have no idea what I'm doing. I will say that I never thought I would be so obsessed with watching approvals, dates, timelines, etc. I think I check Igor's List and the USCIS website 100 times a day each. I was also hopeful we could be together by Christmas or New Years, but we had no idea what we were getting involved in. Anybody have wedding plans? tenative timelines? Yes I know we wont be able to stand in there with her,But its only about 10 to 15 minutes and they will want to talk to us too.I just talked to some one that just had there interview and he said it took about 35 to 45 minutes because they talk to her and him. You said some thing about 90 days?? Is there a way to get it done faster??Shoot if I would have known that I would have put all my money to that real fast.I mean Im not rich but Im one hell of a worker and when I want some thing I can get money fast!! I just have skills in the deportment hahahaha. LOL im so used to typing to my ANYA in russain I know write english words like she does LOL.
