Middle East and North Africawas your interview in English?
my advice for you is use english cuz it shows them you don't have problems comunicating.
I know a guy was denied because he couldn't speak english good and asked them to do the interveiw in arabic even his case was CR1 wich is kinda easier than K1.the consular told him that they can't have a valid relationship without comunication.
good luck .

Middle East and North Africamorocco beneficiary's birth certificate
the white ones are just coppies that you can get from any city in morocco even if you weren't born there, but the green ones are the original that you don't get but from the city where you were born and where they have the original regestery.I think the white is fine cuz its a certified copy but the green its better cuz its the original.
good luck .

Middle East and North AfricaJames shortcuts.had anybody tried them ?

I know what you're talking about. When we were going through the process, I printed out some test versions and compared them to what NVC sends out -- and they look identical to me. But I was always too paranoid to actually send in a home-printed version. Still, a lot of people here have used the system, with no problems.

There used to be quite a few threads about the subject, but I'm not sure what the latest experiences are. Try doing a search for "James' shortcuts" and see what you find.

Good luck !

I read the James shortcuts and they look really helpful and time savers.I'm thinking of using them for the DS230 because it has already been generated but I havn't recieved it yet (Slooow f**cking mail).but I'm nervous about making the barcode.it's not a big deal I tried it and its easy to make but I'm just nervous I really don't wanna #### it up.has anybody used them before ? please share your experience.

Middle East and North Africawhat the hell is wrong with the post offices in Morocco.
Hi everybody.
I just wanna know from those married to moroccans.if they have had problems with the mail.honestly I'm moroccan and I don't think there is any post office slower than the Moroccan post office.I've been waiting for the packet 3 since june the 11th and hasn't recieved it.and what makes it cooler is when the NVC sent me the packet 2 chioce of agent and adress the mail man took it to the wrong adress like 3 blocks away and because I'm so lucky the owners of that house didn't bring it to me at that time cuz they wasn't home for more than 2 weeks.so I'm just wondering if other ppl have had problems like this whith the great Moroccan post office and I'm wondering how long it takes to get papers from the NVC after they mail them.

Middle East and North Africamedical examination prices in Morocco.

Is the the blood test requires to not eat before taking it ?

No, you should not fast before the test. Sorry, I didn't explain well at all. My husband just didn't eat because he ran out of time, and when he fainted, the man who took his blood said he should have eaten. That's all I was saying -- the trip for the medical can be tiring, but my husband just said it's best to rest and eat before you go if possible.

that's cool :thank you :)

Middle East and North Africainterview soon but no package yet

Hi all ,i hope to hear some informations about my problem. My fiancee (usc) got an email weeks ago telling her :Please inform your fiancé....that his K-1 appointment date is on July 16, 2007 at 8:00am.Mr...must be prepared to submit the following documents on the day of his interview:
- police certificate with a certified English translation
- birth certificate with a certified English translation
- court certificate with a certified English translation
- certificate of celibacy with a certified English translation
- completed Forms DS-156 (TWO COPIES)
- completed Form DS-156K
- completed Form DS-157
- completed DS-230 PART I
and they attached a security notice and a list of doctors.

My problem is i still have not got any package from the us consulate in casablanca yet,the stupid moroccan postmail is so so slow and bad.I heard i have to show the interveiw or appointment paper to the security guard outside the consulate,if i wont get any package what i have to do? i thought to print the email which my fiancee got from the us consulate and show it to them.A guy who had interview told me that when u show the guard the appointment paper they check first in the computer there to see if you really has an appointment.I hope someone knows what i have to do,by the way i sent them an email but still no answer yet.thank you alot and better luck.

It's necessery to show the appointement letter to guards in the consulate to let you enter.but you should check with your faince if the appointement letter has a barcode in it,if so you can't print it you will need the original but if it doesn't you can print it and take it with you.and myadvice for you is take the infomation that your faince got about the examination and where you will have to do them and go do it .don't wait till the pachage comes.

Middle East and North AfricaDo you think there is a chance ???

Hi everybody.
I just sent back packet 3 form DS230 today July the 10th and it will be there on the 14th.Do you think there is a chance I would have the interveiw in august ?

They schedule the interviews for the following lmonth on the second week of the month. So August interviews will be scheduled by July 14th. If they don't recieve your ds-230 until the 14 of July you probably shouldn't plan on an interview in August. More likely it will be September.

thank you aminah.

Middle East and North AfricaNONIMMIGRANT OR IMMIGRANT

hi, i want to know does k1 visa is a nonimmigrant visa or immigrant,in the US consulate in casablanca site they put fiance visa under section of immigrant visa, but the forms they ask to bring DS-156 ..... has the name of '' nonimmigrant'' (DS-0156 Nonimmigrant Visa Application) .this is why i wonder if k1 is an nonimmigrant or immigrant visa .

K1 is a non-immigrant visa as you will be adjusting status to immigrant upon arrival and marriage (that is how i understand it at least)

Middle East and North Africaconfused and worried.
Hi everybody.
ok first my case was forwarded to casablanca consulate on Sep 11th, and my interview is scheduled for Oct 2nd. the NVC didn't give me enough time to recieve the packet 4 that has the appointement letter cuz it takes at least 20 days for me to get any packet from them, and I read that I should get the medical exam 2 weeks before the interview's date so i went ahead and got it done. the problem is why if the doctor sent the results to the consulate before they got the case ? blink.gif
and the doctor didn't ask me for the case number or appointement letter all she asked for is my ID and my passport.
what do you think the consulate will do if they got the results before they got the case ? wacko.gif blink.gif wacko.gif

Middle East and North AfricaPhotos for CR1 interview in Morocco.
Hi everybody.
I hope someone would tell me how many photos I need to take to the interview because they didn't say how many in the packet i got from the NVC,they just said bring the right size photos (5 cm) and nothing about the number. how many I'm supposed to bring blink.gif
And the packet I got didn't say anything about the docors list where I'm supposed to get the medical exam done (wich I already got after I contacted the consulate).I'm kinda confused and I'm wondering if this normal or just me.

Sounds like everything will be fine once you get a cosponsor. Congrats! good.gif

Just curious though, I'm sure you guys knew that you did not meet the requirements for the I-864. Was there any particular reason you didn't get a cosponsor *before* the interview?

I hope you know someone to use as a cosponsor!

we didn't know that,we tought she makes enough.I think there is a mistake because she has 2 jobs and I think they counted just one job.
I'm thinkong of sending them an email and ask them to make sure.

Middle East and North AfricaInterview kinda sucked (Casablanca).
Hi everybody.
I just got back from casablanca the interview kinda sucked.I had the blond young girl, she asked alot of questions but nothing unexpected like :
name of petitionar ?
when did u met ?
how did u met ?
was she ur first online girlfriend ?
what was u doing at that site ?( Paltalk )
what does like to do for fun ?
wich bands she likes ?
where has she been living ?
why did she move ?
has she been married before ?
does she have kids ?
name and ages of the kids ?
do u talk to them ?
what do they call you ?
when did start acting romantic with ur wife ? (she meant before getting merried )
what do u do for living?
how long her first marrige last ?
and she asked me if we had a weeding and asked how many gusts were there and asked for pictures.I showed her the pictures (60 pic) she went though them quickly and she asked for emails so I gave her our emails and skype phone calls history.(she looked at them quickly too).ok till here everything is fine.
then in the end of the interview she said my wife doesn't make enough money so we have to get a cosponsor and she gave me a paper said ;
section 221(g) wich prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application doesnt comply with the provisions of the immigration and nationality act or regulations issued pursuant thereto.the following remarks apply in your case:*
please bring an I-864 affidavit of support for petitioner.also please bring an I-864 affidivat of support, supporting documents and W-2 forms, and proof of U.S citizenship or LPR status, for a cosponsor.

and she asked me to bring those papers to the reception.that's all.so what you think ? is that bad or good ?

They can do security checks even with the CR1. My husband had his CR1 interview in June and he was given 221g for administrative processing. It's my understanding that they are doing his AOS at this time since it's CR1. My husband has a very common first name which is Mohammed so I'm sure that's one of the reasons it's taking so long. He was told by the consulate that all we are waiting for is the call from Washington. Hopefully you won't have to wait in AP like we are. Good luck!

I agree but the consulare officer didn't tell me that was anything needs to be done to compete and issue my visa other than the co-sponsor's documents.and I sent an email to the consulate and they said that they will contact me as soon as the documents that i need to submit ( I-864 for co-sponsor,tax return and W-2 ) are reviewed and I don't think they need to send them back to the USA for that.

I'm just curious why you keep arguing with teh opinions being given. If yu already know the answer then why ask in the first place. You submitted the documents today. No one called you. Now you wait like the rest of us.

ETA. I hope you do get the call soon.

my post said I needed help from ppl that have been in a similar situation.and your case was K1 so you know nothing about CR1 process so why would you talk about something u don't even know mad.gif I find it amazing when ppl give thier openions and expect others to just approve it and agree.

my case is CR1 not K1.all security checks have been done already by the NVC before the case was sent to Casablanca.all they have to review now for my case is the affidivat of the co-sponsor.

I'm not sure that's true. Someone can correct me if they know otherwise, but I believe you will need to go through security checks again.

My understanding is that you are correct. I know CR-1 goes through intensie security checks at NVC because this is a immigration visa which gives the adjustment of status even before entry. BUT the consulste is processing this visa and their process is separate from USCIS and what is required at NVC for a cr-1.

In otehr words before casa can approve a visa, it must follow the proceedures.

I don't think thats correct cuz it doesn't make since.because my case was processed and completed by the NVC and on the day of the interview if I didn't have the co-sponsor problem I would of have my visa by now.so when they required a co-spondor I don't think that means they have to redo the security checks.
