IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	They DID do a service request for the I-130.  I got the NICEST person for tier 2 . I thanked her over and over for being so nice and being willing to help. She said "I have been doing this a very long time, its all in a days work"  I was on the phone just about 40 minutes with her. She tried to do a service request the regular way but couldn't so she found another way. She put me on hold several times  She asked me my name, phone number, address, husbands name. and then she typed in exactly what I said.  I explained that we prefer the K-3 because no matter what, at  our interview we  know we need a waiver. Taking the K-3 route will just save us 2 months of the NVC nonsense.  We don't care about having to adjust or the cost. We want to save time.  It has already been 9 long months of just waiting.  My assumtion is that she sent the assigned officer the service request. I have an SR number and a date of Feb 1st for a response.    I don't know what will happen... maybe I'll get an RFE because I am "rushing " them  but I am just so happy that I finally got a person on the other end of the line who actually did something to help.  It goes to show that there "IS" something they can do. I think it helped when I told her that on Dec 30th I was told I am assigned to an officer and was told 30 days.  Then when I call the automated line it says an additional 180 days.  I asked her what I should believe.. She said to believe the senators office because they have a special department at the USCIS that only deals with the congressional and senator inquiries.  And I think she could see something in the screen because she said I know your case is being worked on... maybe thats why she sent the special SR??     Im just so happy I got that nice woman on the other end of the line !!  Its hard to find things to be happy about with this process these days..    Tico's luv, way to go! I haven't had a chance to post in a while but every time i see the notice for this thread with ur name on it i check to see if u finally got approved, i can't believe it's taking so long!!!!! NVC got our I129 and I130 on jan 7th. I called to get a case number last tuesday and she said they had received them and it was gona be 10-20 bus days b4 they log them in. And that my i129 got killed and i130 is going fwd. So i said ok.... Well today i get a letter from the nvc telling me they sent the 129 part to the embassy and to go and fill out the ds160 gave me the case # and all. So now who do believe? monday can't get here fast enough cuz i have to call and check on this b4 i pay for ds160 ..... I'm like u, if we can go the k3 route i'm all abt it.... IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	CSC THEY SENT ME @ 11:00 AM  A CHANGE IN A# I got my approval email after 10 pm central. So again - no logic whatsoever in this whole processing fiasco. Others from before have seen approvals 3 days some a week after a# change.... So just hang in there. The important thing is they are working ur case! NVC seems to be pretty dismissive and not the most pleasant experience anyway, they too take their time and don't commit to anything. Takes them days or even weeks to just log in the case from the time they get it in the mailroom... So just more of the same ####### waiting for us in the next step! Yay! IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	ok so Friday 13th - shmirthteenth!!!!     @LoveMyTico - you should keep your fingers crossed more often!!!! I got mine crossed for you and I'm really sending you all of my best vibes ever!   Just a few hours after getting the A# change notice I get the ever so anxiously awaited APPROVAL e-mails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not getting any sleep tonight, neither is hubby - see as how i woke him up at 5:30am..... hehehe    Happy but totally stunned now  still mad it took this long and that nbc let 8 mos go by without regard for any of us as people, but relieved that now i can finally begin to envision the future... home, babies, peace of mind.... without as much anxiety..... it's the little things in life...    I'm updating the spreadsheet now (CSC) So TreezyTran, the next steps are: they send our files to nvc, who then takes their sweet time logging in our cases into their system, we then get a number from them to track our case by (i think), we get to pay them a fee, once they get the money one of the forms online becomes available for us to fill out, we have to send them also the rest of the forms like the financial support affidavit and our originals and copies of marriage cert etc... copy of beneficiary's passport and passport pics and once they chew it all out they will set up the appt with our embassies for the beneficiary and send the beneficiary instructions on where to get the medical done. ... kind of summarized, there's good guidance on VJ, join the nvc thread for december they have lots of good advice. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	More action out of California...   I almost don't want to boast here because i feel for all my peeps that are still waiting; it's wonderful and exciting but it still stings a bit every time you read someone got approved or their case is moving while you still sit and wait....    so for the sake of statistics: Just got the e-mails on both my i130 and i129 - Alien Registration Number change. So everyone needs to keep a watch the week before Christmas.. Even the 23rd which is a  Monday.    There was this Huge Santa Claus looking guy standing at the baggage carousel at the Philly airport last night.  He really looked like santa.. NO lie.. I kept telling everyone it was a Christmas miracle that our flight was able to get back to Philly because santa was there ! !  !LOL   I had to find humor somewhere..LOL LOL LOL     I should have asked for an approval while I was standing there with him.       I'm so tired.  Seeing my approval would make my day...   Hahaha! That's awesome! I'm glad u made it back safe. Reminds me of last year when i went to see my hubby for xmas they were paging "passenger Santa Claus... passenger Santa Claus to the gate please..." At one of the airports. I forgot which one... They were all serious so idk if it was a joke or really someone's name. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	So Im back from seeing my husband for 11 days.  It was hard to leave him.  My connecting flight was delays 5 hours because the Philadelphia airport was closed due to the snow.  I almost had to stay over night in Houston. My head hit the pillow at 1:40 am and the alarm went off at 5am.  needless to say, I'm a walking zombie today.  Not even close to being in the mood to be here at work.       Ok, soooo    I saw some Saturday approvals... Let's hope they handed out some OT for the USCIS people and they will actually do some work and get April finished.  I am disappointed in the progress at TSC.  CSC is moving so fast... What is the issue over in Texas???   I broke a mirror in Costa Rica. I swear that is why I was transferred to TEXAS.   let's hope that Texas wakes up. Does anyone know if the Texas office is located near DFW? If so, they might be off for the weather.   THAT WOULD REALLY SUCK ! ! ! ! ! Hey girl! Welcome back! I know what u mean, i'm going to be with my man for 12 days ard new yrs and it's always so bitter-sweet. I'm already dreading leaving him AGAIN! So texas is bad, i mean weather wise, i live in the dfw area an i havent gotten in my car since thursday. Thanfully i can telecommute, but i wouldn't count on the uscis ( in the area, mesquite i think) to be doing much till this lets up. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	April 2013 I-130 Filers	Off topic but when my spouses visa gets approved can we travel to another country beofre coming to the us? I would think so. Given ofcourse you have what that country requires for ppwk and as long as u don't let ur US visa expire. I think there's a certain time limit once ur granted the visa that u have to "make use of it" idk if that's like 60 days or something like that, u can look that up. My hubby and i will have two layovers anyway on the way here and we may make one a day or two with family in Paris... Good luck with the process, hope for a speedy visa! Talked to a tier 2 rep last and was told they're processing February 12 and it would likely be 2 months before they begin processing ours. Depressing. Yes totally depressing but they told me the same thing last week and i got transfer notice last night. But, for real, I'm honestly super happy  your case got touched, I know how relieved and happy you must be feeling right now!       Oh, btw, did i mention i had a lady bug land on my hand today, took her time to fly off... They said it's luck! So since i got my transfer this evening - tomorrow i'm going hunting for lady bugs!!!!! Makes as much sense as USCIS processing logic! If i lose my sense of humor you'll know i'm dead  We've all become so weirdly close here, I get so excited too for everyone who gets good news and i feel for all who are still waiting. We'll make it through this, it's rough, really rough and it drives me insane  but we'll make it..... i hope     Did you get transferred yet?   I am relieved that our case is still alive but in reality i'm still entirely enraged that i've lost 8 months (just so far) with my husband that i'll never get back and tens of thousands of dollars that were supposed to go towards our new home that we'll never get back because of incompetency of someone who sees my life as a case number.... I don't mean to get negative, we are all finally hearing some good news and i'm sincerely happy for everyone, but the problem still exists and it's not likely that anyone will ever be held responsible for all our losses.    A new letter is being drafted to be completed 12/8 i believe, i'll again be part of it and i encourage everybody to participate as well.
