Does any one out there have a case# that have been approved Feb. 1 and after?

Must be someone there. My case was approved Jan 15th, arrived at NVC Jan 21, a case number was assigned 1 Feb. So it totally took only 16 days to get a case number. You've been waiting 27 days, it should come any time. Keep calling!

I just wonder will NVC send an email letting me know when IV package is reviewed and nothing's wrong or missing. (I think they'll send a checklist if something's missing), but what about everything's good, will they let me know or I have to call NVC? :unsure:

We got an email today that NVC has input our case (I registered for email notifications as soon as the case was received from USCIS).  I went to the website indicated for payment of AOS fee and the AOS fee invoice and the DS-261 electronic filing were already there.  I took care of both of them and it says wait 2-3 business days for the fee to change from "in process" to "Paid."

 

I had called a few times and as recent as the day it was entered at NVC but always got the "wait 20-30 business days..." response.  I really don't see the reason to have been calling every day, like it states in the shortcut guides, since one can register for email notifications even before the case is input.

 

Maybe the process is more streamlined these days?

Also - to note, this is a DOMA case. dancin5hr.gif .. so this could be interesting.

 

 

Ours is also a result of the fall of doma.  But I expect it will be a boring, drawn out process just like everyone else's.  jest.gif

Hey Josh.

I mailed my I-129F on the 23rd, overnight, but never got my confirmation of delivery from the USPS. I was starting to worry if it got lost, or wasn't picked up at the Nebraska PO Box. Then, USCIS cashed the check this last Saturday and I could barely make out the receipt number. Though, I got our NOA1 in the mail yesterday, so things are in motion now. :thumbs:

You should be getting your NOA1 in the mail any time now.

After a week of getting NOA2 (AUG 8,2012) .. My fiancee tried to call NVC today (Aug 16) but unfortunately the 1st agent who answered it said it was already mailed to him.. so that means we have one already but the agent didnt give it to him.. SO since i saw some people here advising to call many times i advise him to call again after like 5 mins.. and guess what after he talked to another agent .. He GOT the case number..... Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee ... (L) :wow: (L)

Hi everyone...

Need advice..we receive our case # if im right Aug 16 through the phone only, (NOA2 is AUG )
When we 1st called that day (aug 16) the 1st operator who answered my fiance said it was already being mailed.
So he called for the 2nd time (same date) and asked the case # so i can have my med and interview here in PI and he got it.

One of my friend told me that we need to wait for the embassy instruction ? is that correct? So for now i can have my medical 1st on aug 28-29. Embassy Instruction means the mail ? or email? that i am going to get.. or my fiance in usa will get it.. ? Alot says i couldnt have my interview if that packet is not yet in the USEM...

I just wanna know whats the best thing to do to save time.. i can be patience if i need to wait for something before my interview..

I need some help / infos.

I want to know if who we need to inform regarding my fiance address now..Here is the story.. when we filed K1 he was in Japan and he used his parents address as mailing address to assure that the docus will be receive.. he know he will be back in the states but he dont know yet what state and when.

He moved to the state May 2012 and by that time he live on his barracks and we know our parents address is still good :)
But he moved to a new housing off base June 2012 .. Since that time we dont inform uscis/nvc about his new address.. But i realize that i think we need to inform them coz i will be living on his physical address when i get in the states but i just want to ask some info on where and how ? since my case is already in US Embassy.. or maybe on the way.. i want to avoid any conflict since my interview is on Oct 11. So im hoping we fix this soon ,..

1st of all I want say THANK YOU VJ FRIENDS for all the assistance and info that was given here.
About my interview…we stayed at BOULEVARD MANSION HOTEL and it was just a 3 minute walk going to the Embassy and the room was P1638 only.
So before my interview, my fiancé and I hung out in Mall of Asia until 11pm. So when we get back to the hotel I prepared everything. I went to bed around 12:30am and I woke up at 430am to prepare myself. At 5am we went to Shakey’s to eat breakfast. Then we went back to hotel at 6am to get our paperwork for interview.
At 615am we had arrived at the line. At 1st we fall in tourist visa applicants but thank god some people said we were in the wrong line. So we went to K1 line.
The security asked my DS forms (ds156k, ds157, ds156) 2 copies each, my 1st page of interview appointment letter, and my passport. She got all the DS forms and clipped them together with my appointment letter and she gave it back to me and told me to drop the packet to window 39 and just hold my passport. She gave me a plastic for my passport.
On our way to the entrance my fiancé had to go to the security line to deposit his cell phone. I kept walking so I wouldn’t lose my place in line. So my lucky number was 6099. I waited for my fiancé before we went to the windows where I needed to drop off my DS forms. After we dropped off my DS forms we sat at the waiting area. We waited for like 1 ½ hours for my number to flash. I think we sat around 730am then our number flashed around 845am. The 1st window was my pre-screener interviewer in window 41. He asked for my birth certificate, certificate of no marraige , NBI, and BPI receipt. He proceeded to asked me how we met, if I had traveled already and for how long. Then he asked my fiancé for the affidavit of support and 2011 tax return. He asked if it was the 1st visit for my fiancé here in Philippines and he said it’s his 3rd time. The Filipino pre screener said ok and to wait for your number to be called again. So we sat down and waited for 10mins and proceeded to the 2nd Window for fingerprints. After the fingerprints we sat back down again and we waited for another 30mins for the American Consul interviewer. Our number flashed and off to window 62. It was an American girl around 25-35 years old. She asked me how we met, if I had traveled and for how long. Then she asked my fiancé if he’s active duty Army and if we are the only people who will live in his house. And he said yes. Then she asked for pictures. I tried to insert the photo album in the window slot but she just said just turn the pages and I just turned like 3pages and she said ok everything looks great and to wait again for your number to be called. We already knew I was approved. And so we sat back again and waited for our number to flash. After 30mins had passed we went to the 2go window and the lady there congratulated me and said just wait for their text. At 1030am we walked outside the embassy laughing and we were so happy… laughing because I had like 3-4 reams of clear book for pictures and proof and the consul just looked at 5-10 pictures.. LOL

Me and fiance are about to lose hope to get an interview for the Month of October because thru online and call its always showing no available slot .. :(

But today i didnt lose hope to get one .. i woke up since 8am and i keep trying to get one thru online till i saw Sept 7 but its not for me :( then i referesh again and it popped up on my screen (You are approaching the maximum number of times you may view this page. Please complete your transaction at this time.) Then i saw Oct 11.. i clicked it right away .. :) Ive been having a hard time to get an interview since Aug 30.

I just want to share my experience .. for those whos having a hard time .. keep trying and dont lose hope ..

Hello everyone. I'm new to VJ and I need some advice. I searched and searched all the threads to see if I could find an answer to my question before posting here. Please don't flame me if this is an obvious question!

I filed our 129F petition with the NSC (which I discovered after reading here will be forwarded to the CSC). It was received on April 18 at the NSC and I have not been mailed the NOA1 yet. In addition, my check has not been cashed. My question is this: Is there a way the NSC/CSC gives notice of the NOA1 through email? After reading several posts, it appears that some people who filed during the same time as me to the NSC got a very quick response and have received their NOA1 hard copy already. It also seems like some members knew their NOA1 was mailed before they received the hard copy in the mail. How is that? Is there a number to call or website to check that I don't know about? I'm probably totally confused, so I need some veterans here to help!

I realize this is just the start of the lengthy process, but reading other people's speedy timelines has me a bit worried already!

Ok guys, I'm seriously about to have a nervous breakdown. STILL NOTHING! No check cashed, no letter. And I mailed the petition a month ago. I called the 1-800 customer service number just to see if we were even in the system. After finally getting transferred to the proper immigration officer, and this lady was some piece of work let me tell you, I got nowhere. This was my first "proper" introduction to the immigration process and it was pure torture. I think I want to throw up. This lady was such a nasty person; she literally hung up on me for asking too many questions! I heard the dial tone and I couldn't believe she clicked me. Then I called back and talked to a very nice man who said that we weren't in the system (Fantastic!) and that if I don't hear anything by the end of next week to call back. I also reported the rude lady's name to him and told him to to let his supervisior know about what happened to me. And I'm so sure that something will be done about her lack of human decency.

And what is so frustrating is that I know that I did everything correctly! I included a crapload of evidence. We've been together 3 years since first meeting in law school, we've lived together in Ireland for an entire year, and we've been back and forth too many times to count. So, we have plenty of evidence and I know I completed the paperwork properly. I'm so frustrated right now I can't even see straight.

And I just realized that I mailed the petition on Friday the 13th. I think I need a sedative now.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionLeaving Country while 'Removal of Conditions' in Process
My wife is desparate to visit Colombia - bad case of homesickness after 2 years away. BUT... we are ready to file for 'removal of conditions' on her greencard (early June is filing time). Question is this... How long does it usually take to get the letter back from USCIS saying they have received her I-751? From what I read elsewhere, she would need this letter, along with her current greencard as proof that she is still legal. Would that be sufficient for travel out of the country? She doesn't want to, or more precisely CAN'T, wait for another six months to a year to get approval.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Well when I went to the police station and reported it missing the dumb Kansas City, MO police told me that I shouldnt be carrying my green card around with me. When I pointed out that I am legally required to carry it with me he got very quiet and wished me a good day.

Anyway I am so sick of USCIS, with having to file I-70 plus the form to remove conditions that is going to cost over $500. I am trying to save up to go back the UK to see family and show off our newest family member that handing over the cash is going to be painful, but o well I dont have much of a choice.

My conditional green card is due to expire in August and I was just about to start getting ready to file to remove conditions. However my wallet got stolen out of my wifes purse and it had my green card in it.

Do I need to get a replacement green card before I can remove conditions? If this is the case that then it will hold everything up and cost me a bit of cash.

When you apply to remove conditions, if the application is accepted at the Service center you will get a letter stating your conditional residence has been extended for a year, while they process your case. just make sure it is in before it expires

Yeah I never went for my Biometric appointment because they never sent the letter. I phoned up and asked where it was and they said they would chase it up, but that was a few weeks ago and I was getting worried. However yesterday a letter from USCIS arrived and told me that I had been approved.

Congrats to all those who got their approval. To all you VSC filers I feel your pain. I remember when I filed my K1 and CSC was slower than everyone else (plus IMBRA didnt help) and I desperatly wanted to file at Vermont. Just hang in there, it will come eventually.
