That is my understanding......all I-129F's are now being processed by VSC and CSC. I'm sure I will be corrected if wrong.......


Yes...all I-129F's petitions are sent to the CSC if they are first sent to the NSC.

Touches do not mean your case is getting closer to being approved. You could be touched a million times and still take up to 6 months before an approval, while you might not see "touched" at all and then still get your approval within 5 months. So do not get caught up with when last you were touched and how many times it was as it does not mean anything you hope for.


I agree that touches may not mean your case is closer to getting approved, but for us the touches were directly related to activity on our case and were accurate that something was being done. For example, we were touched when we sent in a change of address (both times). We were touched just before we received our RFE and NOA2 approval etc etc. We always knew something was happening after a touch.

Although this worked for us, it doesn't appear to be the case with many. As previously said by other people, some people don't get any touches at all throughout the whole case, while others get a lot without anything seemingly going on. OP, hopefully yours will be accurate like ours, because although it may not mean you're getting your NOA2 in the post the next day, we did find it kind of lifted our spirits to think that someone had physically touched our file :)

I filed for k1 visa back in oct 29 2010,,last time they touched it was 12.3.2010...It is now 1 day from march and not even one single touch since...Is this normal?What steps do i have to follow to speed up the process,IF ANY?..beginning to worry!


Your timeline says you received your NOA1 on November 26th, not October. Anyway, either way you are still within the normal timeframe to receive the NOA2 (approx 5 months), therefore you cannot speed up the process. I'd say give it until May and if you haven't heard anything, maybe give USCIS a nudge.

If she's just visiting then she'll need a return ticket to prove she is intending on leaving again. If you mean she's coming through her POE having been granted the K-1 then a one way ticket is ok but you'll probably find that the round trip ticket is cheaper anyway.

Guess I'll throw my hat into the ring.

Fell in love with my pen pal. :blush:

When I first met her, I was strictly looking for nothing more than that; a pen pal. The site listed her as a number, was a female within a couple years around my age, and short with brown hair. OK, sounds Japanese to me. Sent an email stating I was interested in practicing the language and learning more about their culture. Turns out that we actually had an enormous amount in common, and as the months rolled on, we slowly fell in love with one another. Never expected that to happen! 8 months after our first communication, she visited me in the States, and I was certain of what needed to be done next. I proposed to her, and she said yes. She went back home and we started planning our next steps.

I mailed our petition for a K1 on July 23rd, sending it overnight via the US Postal Service.

This site has been an incredible resource and has helped us put together our petition.

Thank goodness for technology too. Email, cell phone text messages and picture messages, Skype with web cameras... I estimated that it would have taken over 3 years to equal the amount of conversation that we have had just in email letters alone. I don't see how meaningful, solid relationships over extremely long distances could have developed without this technology that is available today.

The one thing that is a little difficult to overcome a times, is the fact that both of our family and friends are cautious and little skeptical about our choices, because the relationship is isolated and exclusive to just the couple. However, they understand that we are both in our 30's now, each with a child, and therefor realize that we both are not going to put our children into a terrible situation as a result of our poor judgment.

So, in before the fee increase, well, at least our I-129F is! Our journey has begun.

Looks like at least one person from August CSC got their NOA2. Saw it on Igor's list...Anyone else?

Been lurking here for the last couple weeks. Met my fiance for the third time at the end of November/early December and have been watching this site and USCIS like a hawk since. When we filed (NOA1: August 26) it looked like we were going to get our NOA2 in mid-November... disappointing this has dragged on so long. If we don't get it sometime in January I'll be thinking of flying to meet her again but not sure work/budget will allow for it that easily. It would be my 4th trip to Asia in a year.


I completely feel you here. It hard to keep pushing it off. I figure that if I buy a ticket and head that way, about the time I get there and off the plane I will get a text saying the Noa2 is approved. That means I would be back again in a month or so. Not really what I want to do. Hang in there is all I can say, same as all of us. Just think at least this time next year it will be a mute point and you will appreciate them that much more. I for one have learned that. I hug much harder now after all this. Good Holidays Everyone!

I usually give a big hug and kiss to Ann then leave. I don't think I have ever looked back. Her brother took us one time and said something about me just leaving and not turning to say good bye. She told him that its just to hard for us both, if we don't just do it we won't be able to .

She received her packet 3 yesterday, only two days after I received the NVC letter that they would be sending it on to Kiev. Kiev is all over it. This process has been miraculous for us as prior to 2010, from what I could tell, the K-1 process had been taking 6-7 months if not longer. Depending on when she interviews, she could have her visa in under 90 days from start to finish. We weren't even expecting our NOA 2 until late June. Hoping not to offend anyone that is still waiting...it is just such a blessing. Keep believing.
