I know your post said recent - but that happened to us this time last year.  Our petition was in AP at NVC for about 2 weeks.  It was about a month total from our NOA2 until our petition got mailed out from NVC to Bucharest.  I understand your frustration - at the time it seemed like other petitions were getting thru NVC in 2 days.  AP at NVC for K1 is usually only a couple of weeks.  Hopefully it won't be much longer for you.  - Hang in there! We got our NOA2 for K1 the week it was estimated and the same thing with my hubby's EAD. I bought a business 12 months before the biggest economic disaster this world has seen - no use crying over spilt milk   There are plenty of people on here who have made mistakes but this site is a fantastic resource full of people who will be only to happy to tell you when you've got something wrong or missed something - and that's a good thing.   So come back here, check your understanding of the process and the documentation and refile  - it's not always crystal clear to everyone what any question means on these interminable forms  - so ask away....   Richard,  you have a great attitude!  i love your reply !   This is a place to ask questions and to share a common ground, not tear a person down. I understand that you were trying to provide information, but there is absolutely no need for your comment. Spoke to USCIS this morning.  They said we were approved but that it is just some glitch with the online status checker.  The guy said that in thier "mainframe server" our case was shown as appoved and it will be moving forward!!!!!   So good news, I'm just hoping that this won't cause other administrative hangups.  As to me it seems to be more than a glitch.   congrats!	agrabs	Female	Romania	2013-06-24 12:30:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Case was approved before it wasn't.......	We are waiting for my husbands AOS to be approved -.  He received his EAD and AP card back in november 2012 -  the status for those 2 applications went from card production (he has had the card for 8 months now) to initial review when we sent in a change of address in May.   So it could be that you got the approval and then the change of address was processed which changed the status on the website back to review.  You will get a hard copy in the mail if you got approved.  You will also get a letter for the change of address good luck!	agrabs	Female	Romania	2013-06-23 09:53:00

Congratulations!  As the other's have stated follow the guides.  The only photos you will need to send are the passport style photos( 2 for each application)  6 total if you are also applying for  A/P EAD which is free when you file with AOS.  You will want to apply for A/P EAD because It can take anywhere from a couple of months to up to a year to get your green card depending on if you get an interview or not.   You will need to include your marriage certificate but   You do not need to include any evidence with your application  - save that for your interview if you get one.   Congratulations!	agrabs	Female	Romania	2013-06-15 18:51:00

My husband is from Romania and I attended his interview with him.  i think it made the interview much easier since we were both there.  In fact, the CO asked me more questions than him about how me met.  Also, instead of mailing him the original documents and supporting evidence for the interview, I was able to bring them with me.    I think it is good to be there if at all possible to give your fiance moral support.  Unfortunately, this isn't always possible. I was only addressing the issue of is it ok to purchase a round trip ticket for entry on a k1 visa, and the answer is yes. As to why someone would do this, the answer is it is cheaper than a round trip ticket in some cases. The airline let us rebook his return ticket for a later date ( we had up to a year after the initial purchase) to use the ticket. We had his AP in plenty of time to use it-we just couldn't due to job circumstances, so we cancelled it and got some money back. Well, I'll concede the law for the period of validity for the k1 visa has changed to six months. but the rest I am correct. Now, let's first take the the OP posted in how many words? An obscure question wondering whether there was a problem with a round-trip ticket. Why would anyone buy a round-trip ticket when they only have a k1 visa? Doesn't make sense. First you gotta get into the US and get married. So, buy a one way ticket and make it happen.    What I'm wondering is how you get so much out of one sentence from the OP. How's that work? Vulcan mind-meld?   There is no problem with purchasing a round trip ticket with a K1 visa.  We purchased a round trip ticket for my husband when he entered with his K1 visa because it was much cheaper than purchasing a one way ticket.	agrabs	Female	Romania	2014-02-17 14:01:00

That means from October 12 to Oct 13 she can visit you for that long and vice versa, I would just be careful of not going past that. Pace yourselves. (anyone from Canada correct me if I am wrong) As in 183 days from her coming here AND me going there combined? I don't think we'll hit that mark though. They gave me the impression they dont like peoples visits to the U.S. to be too close together.. not sure if this has affected you. Have you/ your fiance ever had any trouble with this? As of yet we haven't. This is how our routine has been since October October - Visited Canada November - She came here December - Visted Canada January - Visited Canada March - She came here May - She's coming here. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.   we only got this do we need to wait for the message which says something like we shipped?   we called NVC thrice and we called DOS for the first time last night ...and still we didnt get any news...but dOs is really nice the wont let you wait long...   I received this message today.  That's how I knew.   On October 4, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Post NOA2 to NVC	I received my NOA2 just a week ago.  According to the timeline in our guides, I should give it about two weeks before calling the NVC; however, I've noticed a lot of people stating that it's taking longer than that.  My file was sent to Texas from the beginning (no transfer).  Also, on the USCIS website, does it update when it is sent to NVC?
