Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNSC SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I noticed that NSC hasn't updated their processing times in almost 1 1/2 months. If there are any recent approvals lately does anyone know what dates? We've been waiting 7 months now and still nothing.

I assumed you have your Biometric done, right? I am sure you will get your 10-year card pretty soon. Chin up.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 NSC takeing long time !

NSC is currently processing sep 06, 2006. NSC is sure a bit slower than other centers but urs is along the tail end of a normal distribution curve. i would definitely make a call to the customer service (800) 375 – 5283 and see whats going on. did u check ur online status by putting ur LIN number. what does it say?

yes I did and says : Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On March 15, 2007, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

also thank you very much for your comments

I would definitely call them if I were you. You received your NOA1 on July 04, 2006, but the online status said they received it on March 15, 2007. Something just doesn't click.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHave not received 10 year green card yet

Got my I-751 approved last January 22, 2007 , went to the INS Local office (Orlando,FL) on Feb 27,2007 and got fingerprinted and stamped for I-551 (temporary green card) on my passport, validity for one year.
It's been almost 3 months and haven't received the actual green card. How long does it take them to produce it , i thought it's only within 30 days. I am to file my N-400(Naturalization) next month (June 20,07) and I am worried what if by that time the card is still not here , and I believe this is one of the requirements (copy of green card) for submission.
Appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance.

This is interesting.. you got approved for I-751 (January 22, 2007) before you got your fingerprint done (Feb 27,2007)? :o Didn't mean to question you, BUT are you sure that's an appoval notice? Did you get an email with "Current Status: Card production ordered. "? I might be wrong, but it seems like you received NOA1 instead of approval, maybe? When did you send your I-751?

If that's indeed the approval, what's the purpose of getting the Biometrics after the approval?

I submitted my I-751 in June 2006, before they implemented the new procedure of getting the biometrics first before approval. The process I went through was the old method, submit I-751 ,wait for the approval letter, go to the local INS office with the approval, get fingerprinted and stamped . They changed that in July 2006.

Didn't know that. Hopefully you'll get your card soon.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionTouched but don't have any pending apps?

This may be a silly question, but I'll ask anyway. I have my 2 year conditional GC, but I'm not due to remove conditions until next year, so have no pending paperwork. I noticed that on USCIS online status, that the LUD on my I485 and I551 have changed to 4/28/2007. There's no status update - still reads that the application was approved Sept 2006. Do you think this LUD is because we filed taxes? Or is some other update? Anyone else noticed their LUDs changing for no particular reason?

Thanks :star:

Well... it happened to us for the I-129F. It was approved on 09/03/2004. But, it's last updated on 06/24/2006. Probably they filed it under "Not To Be Looked At Anymore" folder.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionGot my new card!!!

Congratulations, Marcel.

That's great news!

Just curious, what did you submit as evidence? I only ask because since you were approved so quickly, it might be helpful for us to present similar evidence when my husband applies to remove his conditions in a few years.

Best wishes,
Mary

Marcel_25, Congratulations...!!!

Mary G, I think it has something to do w/ which service center you file your case to, not so much of what evidence you submit. CSC is by far the fastest service center.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 Processing Fees

Just out of curiousity - on average, how long does it take for the Dept. of Homeland Security to cash your check. I mailed my package on Saturday, priority post. Any chance it'll be cashed before Friday?

Assuming you sent your package to NSC, it should be cashed by this Friday. They are fast in cashing in the checks..

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionshould i be worried

I sent the california service center our I-751 application via priority mail, but forgot to get delivery confirmation. (Worst mistake I know!)
It's been about two/three weeks. They haven't cashed our check yet and I haven't received any NOA letter either.

The two year anniversary of the wife's cr-1 is june 24th. I'm starting to get nervous and not sure If I should resend the application.

I would give it at least a couple more weeks. Also, not sure if re-sending the package will be any help.

congratulations!!! went through that rfe stage too..i'm glad that you're approved just like me.

I just sent my RFE stuff yesterday. You guys who get e-mails informing you of card production, how does this work? At whcih stage did you give them an e-mail address?

Doyle, not sure if you are aware of this, but you need to have an account on the Case Status Service Online web site and enter your case number and select "Email On" option.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionQuick RFE question

Recently got RFE'd, am putting together all the stuff, amongst which are bank statements from myself and my wife. Should I blank out the account numbers, or not? I am tempted not to bother, as the USCIS can find out any info they want regardless.............

Thank ye!

I would leave the account numbers alone. ;)

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionTSC late April I-751 filers

I sent the I-751 to the TSC on April 13, 2007 and the check was cashed on April 23, 2007. On the back of the cancelled check I can see a case number of SRC0718200055. We have not received any NOA yet and when I try to put that case number in the USCIS online lookup, it comes back as not found. I am getting a little worried about it and thinking I may make an Infopass appointment in San Antonio to see what's going on.

The same for me, the application number they wrote on the back of my check is different than the one in the NOA1. I kept getting "not found" error message when checking the application number written at the back of the check. Don't worry, wait for a week or two, I am sure you'll get your NOA1. :)

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionTSC late April I-751 filers

It seems that the NOA's are a lot slower in coming for the I-751 than for other applications, for all Service Centers.

I got my NOA almost a month after I submitted my I-751 to Nebraska.

It's been about 2 weeks since I sent out mine, and I haven't got the NOA1 yet. All I know is they cashed in my check. I guess I'll receive it.. sooner or later...!!! Hehehe...!!!

UPS stores often have a notary on staff. We got the signatures of our witnesses for our wills notarized at our local UPS store. The stamp cost $3.00 each stamp - a bargain! Check locally and call to see if they offer this service.

I think Kinko's have a notary on staff as well. Good luck..!!!

Correct.

Your case might get forwarded to CSC and, if that's the case, you might get your 10-year GC in 2 months. Good Luck...!! We sent ours to NSC in April 2007 and have been waiting ever since. At this rate, we are hoping to get her 10-year GC in December.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHas anyone travelled with expired greencard?
My wife had no problem either. We just came back to the States (via Los Angeles) on December 17th, 2007. All you need is your passport, expired PR card, and the extension letter. The officer stamped my wife's passport saying "Admitted LAX..... Class LPR..." (Note LPR = Lawful Permanent Resident).

Oh well. I guess we are at the point where it cant hurt to file the N-400. Processing times for Nebraska I-751 are reported to be as long as 18 months, maybe even more. Since we are already at 12 month, and we could possibly be made to wait a further 6 months, we might as well put that time to good use. I do look forward to the day my wife gets her passport...this way we can go anywhere we want, for as long as we want.

Thanks for all the input, folks.

The time line goes by your local office though, not Nebraska. So it might not be 18 months. I know Cleveland (my local office) is around 7-8 months.

I still don't understand some of you guys here pushing ahead with this N-400.Nobody says that you should not apply for citizenship but don't you want to see yourself done with one application before you jump with another one ?
I don't know whose idea was that filling an N-400 will expedite your status here in US . Just a waist of money at least for now when USCIS is totally screwed-up !!!! unsure.gif

You are correct that you don't have to apply for N-400 now. But, if somebody already made up their mind to be US Citizen and they are now eligible to apply, why do they have to wait? I don't see anything wrong w/ applying now even though their I-751 hasn't been approved yet. Whether you apply for N-400 now or later, you will have to pay anyway (might have to pay more if they decided to jack up the fee again headbonk.gif ). Just my $0.02.
