Middle East and North Africa	sweet and sour	I have mixed feelings right now because as much as I want to be happy it is so hard to see those who are way ahead of us in this process who are still waiting each day for hope. It isn't fair that we got this before you it isn't right and there is no reason for it. All I can think is that we have been extremely lucky. I hope you know how sincere I am about this and that I wish more than anything that those of you waiting will get your turn soon. Hicham and I appreciate you all so much and all of your help, your responses, your knowledge and everything. Of course we are happy but it just isn't right that you guys have had to wait for so long. I'm so sorry for all the pain you go through waiiting. All I can say is that we have been EXTREMELY lucky in this process. Hicham got his Visa today in Casablanca. Middle East and North Africa	Social Security Card Came	The SSN card having the legend, “VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION,” only means that the number holder cannot use the SSN card as proof of work authorization. I was just wondering in my case if we have to wait the 60-90 days for the EAD and if Rachid is working if the work authorization expires and we don't have the EAD then he would have to stop working until it comes... yeah I think legally he would have to stop working... wowow this stuff gets so confussing congrats.... thats awesome I am about half a week away from sending mine too.... did he not get a work authorization when he came into JFK?? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Is there a " time out of the US " limit during first 2 years ?	Hello, Yes there is. My husband had the same issue. USCIS says no longer than 6 months so, he came back in 5 months. To be on the safeside gather any proof you can about her health while you are there also and make sure when you leave and come back through the POE make sure they document it in their computer why your going. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 May 2012 Filers	Good Luck to Everyone with upcoming interviews   On the 23rd of May we received a letter saying CSC has transferred our case to the local office and soon  we will get a appointment letter for an interview.  They are still requesting for us to bring more EVIDENCE OF A GOOD FAITH MAARRIAGE.    Has anyone else been asked for the same exact thing for your interview?     We both have each others names on each others bank accounts but...   His money has always been his money by his choice and he has made my money...my money... by his choice.  Also...he had never helped pay any bills until July of last year.  I believe these are some of the many things that raised a red flag.          We will see what happens next.   SIGHHHH......	*****S*D*****	Female	Egypt	2013-05-25 20:55:00

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 May 2012 Filers	I get a little scared when I see other people submitting so much stuff (600 pages?!!!!) cause it makes me feel like I didn't have enough but anyway, I hope the process ends soon and you get your conditions removed.   Talking about that, I submitted my RFE documents mid April and decided to call USCIS on Monday to ask exactly what the heck happens on 5/4 which is the date on my extension letter. I asked the guy if I would be out of status and he laughed like I was talking crazy. He then explained that no, that's not the case as long as you have a pending case, but that I should schedule an INFOpass so I did. And the next one is on May 14th.   So for the real question. I'm in the process of applying for jobs and they ask for status information. What do I say? I don't know how to nicely explain such a long and complicated process in a 10 line email that should have more of a focus on my skills as opposed to how much of a right I have to be here. This is actually being really discouraging as I don't want to be turned down for lack of understanding. Have any of you been on this situation or have any helpful insight? I would really appreciate it.    I will take this opportunity for thanking this community. You really are a helpful bunch!     ginmartini,   Don't worry!  Everyone's case is unique.  When we filed the I-751 we didn't send much evidence with it.  So, when the RFE came  we had to send in anything and everything to prove Financial co-mingling and Residence evidence which is difficult to do for us because of our unique situation.  Sorry! He said...The case is still pending could take 6 to 12 months, an RFE has not been issued but...it dont mean we wont get one, An interview has been requested but has not been scheduled yet. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 May 2012 Filers	Hubby had his bio on the 12th. We went thru security had a nice conversation with one officers but they were both nice. Took appt. letter, gc, dl to window they gave him a form to fill out the top only. Basic Info...Ht, Wt, Hair color, Eye color, Country of citizenship, A# and race...which by the way they never have egyptian so, it was unknown we checked lol... and gave him a number 22 and they were servicing number 21 so, not a long wait at all. They called him back for finger prints, and a pic which the guy took it with my hubbys head crooked lol the man asked him do ya like this one? Before he could say anything he said ok your done! All my hubby could think was...It was a terrible picture. That was about it. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 May 2012 Filers	Hi All, Just wanted to update you that I had my Biometrics Appointment today at 1:00pm Central at Chicago, N. Broadway St. It went really smooth and quick. I reached there at 12:40pm and the receptionist asked me for my ID (I gave my driver license) and the appointment letter. Then she asked me to turn off my cell phones and gave me a form to fill in. I filled in the form and she gave me a number to be called. As soon as I sat on the waiting seats, my number was called and it just took less than 10 mins to have my finger printing and picture. I was done even before 1:00pm Central They didnt ask for or check my conditional Green Card. I hope i get my 10 years green card soon, Insha Allah. All the best to all.....Regards, S. But we still didn't receive our NOA 1 yet....hubby's GC is expiring 6/14/2012....I'm planning to call USCIS on Monday if I still didn't see the NOA1 tomorrow (saturday)... anyone know a good phone number to call USCIS to find out the status? Got through to a helpful Tier 2 officer who told me that my appointment has been scheduled and that I should receive the notice any day. She couldn't tell me when it was mailed out though. Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 May 2012 Filers	Hello everyone, My wife and step son's Conditional GC's expire on August 9, 2012. I sent out the I-751 package with a ton of evidence on May 16, 2012 to the VSC which arrived at the VSC on the 18th of May with a confirmation USPS receipt. Today is the 4th of June and I have not received anything nor has the check been cashed. I see alot of posts where at least the check has been cashed in a short period of time after the package was received. Starting to get a little worried. is this normal? The website instructs not to call until 30 days have past and no official receipt has been issued. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Nelson (my opinion) I would give it til June 18th and if there is no movement then I would call USCIS and put a bug in their ear. Don't worry too much (easier said then done I know!!!) Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 May 2012 Filers	Hello, I just called USCIS asked them to check on our change of address we filed online ( two AR-11's) She asked when and what we filed recently. She said they can't just look it up. But...when you file the I-751 she said it automatically updates your address in their system. Also...when we all receive the NOA we need to double check them to make sure everything is correct and if there are any errors on it...then we call 1-800-375-5283 and they will guide us on how to make the corrections. She also mentioned it may take up to 30 days to receive the receipt saying they received the I-751. I just wanted to put this out there just in case it would help anyone.
