K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 Visa Requirement	That is not true, you only have to provide evidence of meeting within the past two years. (That is there cut-off) If you have met anytime from September 2010 - September 2012, then you are fine to apply. Your initial meeting and beginning a relationship has nothing to do with the two year period. I met my fiance in 2008. You can complete this process without a lawyer. Thousands of us have. Totally right, doesn't matter how long you've known eachother as long as you've been in face to face contact with the person within the past 2 years. Good Luck ! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	If and When do we receive the information back, submitted with our K-1	Hello folks, Our POE was Sept. 19th 2012 and we got married on Oct. 13th 2012. I am wanting to start the paperwork for AOS and am reading over some of the information regarding what is needed in order to submit it. By the looks of it, it is the same stuff we had submitted with our K-1 example the vaccination history, original BC etc. etc. So my question is do we get out packet back?? And if we do when do we get it?? I'd hate to have to pay for more copies of this stuff when it was already sumbitted. Recycle Your assistance is appreciated. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	A FEW QUESTIONS	Hello again! You guys were so much help before and i got everything ready to go but came to a snag so i'm all ready to file and get this going i just have a few last minute questions about what i need to do First off- When we send the "proof" of relationship ie. my phone records, can i black out all the numbers that aren't his? My parents, friends, and colleagues really don't need to have their numbers mailed out in my opinion. Secondly- do we send photocopies of the pictures first and bring originals, or should i go to walmart and make copies of all my photos? They were taken on a phone and printed off the computer though i'm sure many people do this, i'm just curious about the correct procedure. third- I've read through the step by step guide a thousand times and steps 12-14 do not apply to our situation, should i state somewhere, maybe in the cover letter, that neither of us have been married/ divorced/ convicted of any crimes? or will they figure that out through the other forms (biographic information and such?) I think that is everything, thank you guys in advance, you're all amazing, can't wait to get this all under way!! Take care! I had also sent our skype records and MSN records and blacked out what we had copied and pasted for eachother to view. For pictures we went and got additional copies of the photo from our phones or SD card. Don't for get to write on the back the date, who was in the photo, and where the photo was taken. No need to specify as to if you've been married/divorced/or convicted. The G-325 (i think that is the form) that you both fill out will ask you the questions and if you answered yes to any of them thats when you would need to provide the information needed. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Visting My US fiance with having filed our I129F	Hello Everyone, I am sure this is a tired topic but I am new here My Fiance and I just filed our Fiancee visa application on March 14, 2013. I have gone to visit on April 12 and will be returning to visit on May 10th for ten days. The first visit I have absolutely no questions from the officer.. He asked me where I was going and stamped my ticket admitted. I thought it was quite strange that no questions were asked but now that I am going again would I have the same sort of experience? Due to being allowed in previously should I have no issues this trip? I still don't understand how grey this topic is and it is quite stressful not knowing what is going to happen. Thank You for your replies ! We filed in March 2012 and I went up to Canada 3 more times, 1 of which was for our interview and brought him back with me to the states. I never had any issues and I flew 2 times and drove the 3rd. Flying I had a return ticket each time and I was up there for about 10 days each. Driving I gave a rough estimate of when I'd be returning but still no issue. Also, and everyones situation is different, I didn't have to provide any strong ties to the US. Just made sure I told them the truth to their questions. Who are you visiting? For how long? Where will you be staying? When will you be returning? What do you do/work? Blah Blah Blah. For example, I can get a copy of the deed of trust with both our names, but it's 22 pages. Should I just send a few random pages that show both our names, or should I send the whole thing? Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Mailing the I-751	So I have all my documentation together and now all I need to do is mail it. Right now, I have everything dividing up and put into file folders. I also went to Target and bought a 10 pocket case to hold each file. Now I'm wondering if it's a good idea to mail the pocket case. If I do, it probably means I will need to send it in a small package/box. If I just send the file folders, I may be able to send it in a large, padded envelope. I know it's not that big of a deal either way, but I'm curious as to what most people did. Also, how did you send it - regular post with delivery receipt, registered, etc..? When I schedule my appointment, what reason do I select out of the 7 provided? Obviously, I can rule out a couple of the obvious. Choices: You have received an approval letter or Form I-797 from the Service Center or local office instructing you to come into the office for alien identification card processing / passport stamp. You have a question about your case. You need to file an application for yourself or someone else. You need an immigration form. It has been more than 90 days since you filed an I-765 and you did not receive an Employment Authorization Card. You need to replace your Permanent Resident Card. I want to know is what is happening to the I-751s that are still sitting at the NSC. The ones sent before July 2007. Are they no longer processing ANY I-751s? Got RFE for I751 but they list the wrong application type on top	Just in case anyone has the same problem - since we didn't get a response on here - we contacted customer service and were told it was simply a clerical error. Probably someone didn't clear the screen entirely before moving on to our RFE, and that in no way affected our application type anywhere else in their system. Got RFE for I751 but they list the wrong application type on top	I asked another question about my RFE and what they were wanting, but just now looked the first page over more thoroughly and realized the "application type/petition" box at the top has "I-821D Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals" on the top instead of what we really applied for, which was the I751 removal of conditions. The first (blue) page is very vague and just states to return the RFE with the evidence requested on the second page. The second page is obviously intended for the I751 application as it is "evidence of good faith marriage." Do we call USCIS? Or do we need to make an infopass appt? We sent in our RFE before we got any responses on here, and we did send a bit more, although we thought we had been as thorough as we could. Unfortunately, I had owned my home for 7 years prior to marriage and am still underwater on it and so we haven't been able to refinance our mortgage under both our names, and I think that is a biggie with them. I had to call customer service about another issue (petition type on RFE was wrong!) and asked the agent what she thought about the transaction pages being bolded, and at first she said that was likely all they were interested in and that they might get annoyed if we sent too much, but then she backtracked and said that it wouldn't hurt to send extra. She expressed some frustration that sometimes they are very vague on what they are looking for, and other times they are very specific. Ours was of course vague. It was obviously a generic list of evidence of good faith marriage and listed lots of stuff we had already sent in, so I am sure they didn't want all of what was listed. Interestingly, in trying to research this I found a post that talked about them being RFE happy if they are behind. Our RFE was post-marked 6 months and 1 day to the date they had received our application, so I am guessing part of it could be that they wanted to keep the numbers looking good since they state a 6 month processing time for the CSC on their website. If they had looked through our whole packet, I can't imagine they could reasonably say we didn't provide enough evidence. So I suspect giving a quick RFE for lacking all the transaction pages on our joint bank account (one of the first things we had included) kept the numbers looking good. It included a page asking for evidence of good faith marriage that lists all the generic potential items that could be included. They bold typed the phrase "transaction pages" on the bank statement section. We had included just the first pages of multiple statements as our packet was getting pretty thick and I thought I had read on here that that was enough. So, is that all they want? I am about to start the process for a K1 visa for my Dutch fiance, but am also looking into civilian job opportunities with the US Army in Europe. At the moment there aren't any jobs available for my profession, but if something comes up in the next few months, that might be preferable to waiting out the fiance visa process, especially since eventually we want to be over there anyway. But there is always a chance that no jobs will come up any time soon, so I don't want to wait on the K1 visa either. So, if I start the visa process, then get a job in Europe and stop the process mid-way and get married in Europe, would there likely be a problem if I later tried to file a spousal visa for him? Is that correct? Would we list for her the same as an IR-1? Since I have no direct relationship to her, how can I be her petitioner? What would I list? Is it an Ir-1 for her as well? what is an ir-1 / cr-1? on the g325a it asks which its being filed for, so i'm not sure how I would list that. In a related question - What about vaccinations ? Whats the cost of the medical exam? and is it more extensive then the k-1 visa one? Is the Ir-1 / cr-1 visa granted there at the consulate or will they need to return home to Mexico City to wait?
