Submitted via registered snail-mail my I-751 on Oct 5, 2009.

Just received my NOA today.

To CSC or VSC?? I dont know where to put your name into...

Mine was an NOA from California and receive that Oct 13th... However, my 17 yr old son just got an NOA from Vermont in the snail mail today. Hoping that they are still keeping the files together and maybe I'll get something in the mail from Vermont in the next day or so...

Also, my NOA from California is dated 10/07/2009...

Are they in the habit of changing Service Centers for Removal of Conditions? Eg: Where California is supposed to be the one I submit to based on the state I'm in, do they push some of the work to Vermont?

Yeah.... We're in the same boat, as well...

We've been RFE'd as well, and it seems to be taking FOREVER for them to get to it!!!

Though I wonder if AMBRA is interfering in some way shape or form...

Thanks. I am a lil behind on VJ...I had stopped coming for awhile. Then I started coming back after we received the approval. After waiting for so long, I kinda losy hope. It took them 313 days to approve us, inshallah the rest of the process will go much faster.

Hi. Maybe you can call or email the embassy, but from what I hear lately the interviews have been scheduled anywhere from 4-6 months away. I am planning on being in Pakistan next summer for a few months and I am hoping that my fiance will have his interview by then, but from the way things look I don't know.

Sallam Everybody!

I have received my NOA2 finally! My case however has not made its way tot NVC yet, nor to ISB.

I was wondering if there was anything I could do in advance? I have already prepared my I-134 (Affidivit of Support) and sent it to my fiance in Lahore.

Does anyone know what dates ISB Embassy is giving interviews for now? I hope my case makes it to ISB by Mid November. Inshalla!!!!!

Thanks!

Congrats, I can't wait until my time comes. By looking at your timeline I'm guessing that I have another 2 months to go. I am a July filer.

Well, after years of wait, it's finally over ... my wife and daughter received their visas.

My wife's interview was scheduled for next month but was interviewed at the same time when she accompanied our two year old daughter to her visa interview (even though the phone/emails to the embassy weren't successful in asking them for it).

Their interview experience ...

Took the bus shuttle around 7:15am for the embassy. Got in around 8:00am got in the embassy. 1st call for an interview was around 8:30 and they got called after 3/4 people.

The interviewer asked for "baye" form, than showed my two year old daughter my picture asking who I was. I guess got a satisfactory response (from a two year old).

Then asked the following to my wife ...

Any link to a terrorist organization?
Previous visit visa application?
Who is petitioner?
Where does your husband live?
What does he do for living?
Where was the baby born?
Why were you in Canada?
How long were you there for?
Do you have any relatives in the US?

Than something along the lines of .... congratulations your visa has been approved. Everything is okay, you need to send medical report. Which was sent along with passports and received the visas in about 12 days.

This forum has been a great help. Thanks for your support!

CONGRATULATIONS!

LOL, I think if it were as simple as putting a date on the form would make our case move faster we would have all done that. I wish it were that simple (sigh)

CanadaMarriage Date on I-129F Form
I'm sure the date probably has nothing to do with the process time but I just wondered anyhow.

Hello. You are right, the date has nothing to do with the process. It doesn't matter if you put tomorrow's date, a date next year, or ten years from now. It won't make them move any faster. I don't remember what part you are referring to on the form. I never put any kind of anticipated wedding date. Best of luck to you in this process.

Hi. I know how you feel. I had to wait for my divorce to be finalized legally before I could file the K-1. It was extremely frustrating because we had already met and knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. After visiting my fiance in March, I had to wait until July to file. I just think now if only I could have filed it back in March I would have been approved by now, but at least I beat the fee increase. So I know all too well how you feel. Hopefully once you get your divorce, this process will go along smoothly for you. Best of luck to you both.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNew & confused about best way to go
Trainmix, thank you so much for your answer. Much appreciated!

My only real question right now is, my fiance and his parents would be coming to Kansas for the wedding. It's going to be a small affair, like 6-10 people, max. Anyway, is it true that he can't say he is coming to his wedding when he sees customs on his trip over? I think he would be okay with that, but his parents are another story.

Is this a situation where if you show strong intent to return to Canada he could be honest about his plans? Or ? I mean, no question he will be going home within like a week of the wedding. I'm just really in a state of yikes about what the parents will say if they are to omit details when passing customs...

Thanks again.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNew & confused about best way to go
Ah, I can't find a way to edit my post? But I forgot to mention that I am in the process of a divorce. My ex was abusive and moved out before I got involved with my fiance, the divorce just wasn't/isn't final yet. Should be finished in about three months (both the two months of processing and the 30 days you have to be divorced before you can remarry). My apologies for not mentioning this at first.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresNew & confused about best way to go
Hello! To briefly describe my situation, I am an American citizen (born here). My fiance is Canadian. I am 11 years older than he is.
We met online, and dated for 7 months before he came to visit me for 5 weeks. During his stay with me, he proposed. smile.gif

We are trying to figure out the smartest way to do things, and also to just understand.
We wish to marry here in my home state of Kansas. If he came to visit me (like just a normal get a ticket and come out here trip), could we marry here (Kansas), then he returns home to Canada, and then we file for the K-3 (or cr-1...)? Or would we have to wed in Canada for this option? I have searched this site and just google in general and find conflicting answers.

I'm a bit worried about our age difference because I am 29, he is 18, and in order to afford the Visa process, we really can't afford anymore trips until either the wedding, or he comes on a K-1. I know those are both potential red flags, so we were thinking perhaps it would be wisest to marry before starting the Visa process.
I have a ton of pictures from our five week trip, airline tickets, but no phone bills because we just use web cams and skype/google talk/aim.

We are very much in love and just want to make the smartest choices so we can be together.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.
