Im sorry to hear for the loss of your husbands father, yesterday was the day my father lost his life to cancer and its been 16 years ago, it feels like yesterday. My fiancee called them to see whats going on they told her that the case is under ongoing AP .she asked them if they are going to send our case back to USA or if they are going to deny us they said no .they said they just looking over a couple of documents!!!
I was wondering why they put us again under AP if we already have been under AP for more than 5 months ?!!!!
BTW they didn't call her so far and she tried to talk to anyone in charge of our case but the embassy didn't allow her to talk to anyone of them .
My fiancee asked her congressman and her senator for help .and they the embassy sent them Emails and they said '' the case is under ongoing AP....''
I was thinking that they might put us under AP for another 2 or 3 months and then they will send our case back to USA for review .so it will expire and they will close it there in USA.
What do you guys think about that ?

Sorry to hear about your long wait. My girlfriend that did a K-1 visa from the vermont center, that was done in May 2009, they have sent there papers back to USCIS, she got a letter from USCIS for an under review and as she has called them they told her to wait up to 120 days for further information. She is wandering also what is going on. She has only been to Egypt once, but they were married here in the states when he was here on a special visa, then she married 3 days after me May of 2008, she is thinking it's because of the time frame from her last visit has been so long. She has called the USCIS and there giving her nothing also. I will keep you posted if I find out any other information. Did your wife go to the interview with you, im wandering if that makes a difference, I know in Flowers case it didn't so maybe there is no method to there madness, I wish you well and your visa soon, this is all such a stressfull process. Have to be strong and keep your faith. Take care.

Today when I logged into NVC website, we got Login Fail........alhamduli'illah star_smile.gif

We got a stupid RFE on Oct 22 that said Ahmed's military record that we sent in the IV packet needs to come from the Egypt's Ministry of War, instead of the Ministry of Defense.

I called NVC numerous times telling them Ministry of War no longer exists, it's now Ministry of Defense.

I had a supervisor review it, and I sent an email explaining in detail, as well as giving them 3 website links directly to the Egyptian gov't and even NVC's own website with the info.

So it looks like a supervisor with some sense actually corrected their mistake and accepted his document, like they should have in the first place. Hopefully we're still in time for the scheduling of December interviews next week, just so glad the RFE is fixed.

Thanks Andrea, I called NVC this morning to confirm it, and before I could even ask her, she immediately said "Congratulations, your case was completed Nov 6, 2009" kicking.gif kicking.gif

I guess my calls and email worked, and I didn't even have to send the RFE coverletter back!

Insha'allah you will get out of NVC fast and if they give you the same RFE, tell them to tell a supervisor what I told them and send an email as well.

I had a good time in Egypt with my husband, always so short though, we managed all the cerified translations that we needed outside of the military. So I feel were just one step closer. I also brought them with me since we know how the mail system works in Egypt. I feel a little tired and sad, the normal things when I get home. I hope to perk up a bit more tomorrow. Wishing you all a great monday.

Andrea I hope you get your Feb. interview so you can attend also, I don't know it seems to me like it would help to be there to validate and not second guessing what happened. I also want to attend when my time comes. Keep us updated.
