Total time at USCIS 1 month

At the NVC my I129f left for the embassy in 12 days.
But the I130 is 'not received'. still!!

If the embassy gets the I130 from NVC, then switch to the CR1.
Otherwise the K3 is still happening! star_smile.gif

Hopefully my spouse interview sooner.
Yes the K3 is more expensive.
Yes the adjustment of status afterwards is a pain.

I cant see any problem in filing I-130. As soon as you get the receipt from I-130 then thats the time you have to file for I-129F with no cost. It will only take 3 months after that. I went thru that process. If you gonna wait for the I-130 to get approved, it will take you 1-2 years. Visit uscis.gov for instructions. Goodluck!

This just when you want to be with your spouse soon. You have a point there about the CR1, thats if you are willing to wait. Think about it. Applying for SSN is not that hard, you can process your green card while you are already with your spouse here. I dont believe about that no need to wait to wok, US will not give you work automatically, hehe.

THE WAIT TIME IS ALMOST THE SAME NOW. WITHIN A MONTH OR TWO. MY WIFE ARRIVED HERE NOV26, 2008. SHE HAD ALL DOCUMENTS TO WORK WITHIN A MONTH.......

most here do it without a lawyer. a lawyer will slow down the process. cr1 is a better visa, takes about the same time. if you do not have an overstay, or other red flags, you should do it on your own. either way you should become familiar by studying the guides!!!!!!!

It sounds like some power hungry ### hole has gone out of his way to make life hard. If I had this happen, I will catch the next flight to Manila. There are people in this proscess who do everything possible to make things harder. Not only at the embassy, at all levels!
The people at USCIS are rude, and have been known to tell out right lies. If you make them angry you will be delayed. They do not have a checks and balance system, they answer to no one. As I have said here before, this whole system is broken. It does not need repair, it needs to be replaced with a new proscess from top to bottom.

Maybe you should reconsider the options before getting sh1tty with the embassy. Remember that they hold all the power untill the visa is in hand. The options are being passive and respectful and maybe get the visa soon. Or, you let all the emotions out and possibly never get a visa.
U.S. congressmen are almost powerless at this stage. I felt all that you are going through. After two months of getting the run around, I wrote the Inspector General. Did it do any good? I doubt it. We waited two months and seventeen days, from interview till visa in hand. I think this was in part because of a heated conversation I had with the embassy personell.
