Can anyone advise if I can only submit the certificate or do I have to include the agreement with it? My fiancé also insisted on getting a lawyer just for the peace of mind, but there was no way I could justify $3000 which will be better spent elsewhere. If you just follow the guides here you will have no problem at all, unless of course there might be 'complicated issues' as others have also said. We've now filed our I129F on our own, of course with the guidance of those on VJ that have first hand experience in answering those nitty gritty questions, and loads of double checking of all documents. Once it's done you will look back and chuckle, and realise how easy it actually was and all the stress was for nothing after all. Best of luck in which ever route you choose to go. Sure, we are all committed to getting engaged and married, but the 90 days is a final test. If you and your fiance had actually spent much time in a "normal" dating situation, you might have found out you were not right for each other much sooner and certainly wouldn't have had to endure the USCIS torture test. Be glad that your fiance' had the fortitude to be able to make the tough decision to stop what he felt was not the right thing for him. In the long run it will be less painful for you. But do not lose hope that the right person is out there for you. Good luck healing and then finding the right one for you. Just a correction to your statement above: I was the one that made the "tough decision" to return home, to make things easier for him. We are both still very much in love with each other and want to be together, bearing in mind we've known each other for over 10 years and have spent "normal" dating time together, but due to medical reasons, like panic and anxiety attacks when he realized the 90 days were counting down, it made life very difficult for both of us, so it was either me coming home or the risk of being deported. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	DHL - Shipment on hold	I had the same problem with DHL when I sent my paperwork from SA to my finace in the US. It also got 'stuck' in Ohio then after that it was sent to incorrect final destination and had to go back to Ohio. I tracked it daily watching it going backwards and forwards across the US...most frustrating. It eventually took an additional 6 days to get there, 10 days in total, but it got there. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Filing an I-130 in USA before returnung back home	when you ask anything from uscis - just remember - that office doesn't issue visas, so the humans you talk to are mostly misinformed about visa process and processing. as to yer original question - yes, is easy to do what yer asking - here's the caveat: --do not list an address in the USA on YOU, on any forms, as the adjudicator might think that you are already here, and are filing an I-130 as the first part of an 'adjustment of status' case. (which requires an I-130 and an I-485 - some folk do send in just the I-130, waiting on approval, then send in the I-485). Good Luck ! Thank you Darnell - this explains a lot !
