Are you a US Citizen and how old is your kid he/she might be a US citizen contact US embassy in your country to find out if your child is US citizen or not? It costs 205 dollars To get US passport and CBRA ( counsler report birth abroad )for your child and it takes upto a month or more to get the documents.

i Just called them It is an approval notice.

Just wait for their notice in mail or call USCIS to inquire. They have sent you some notice of action but rest of the text in mail seems misleading.

I filed I-130 CR-1/IR-1 for my wife on March 5th 2012

Err. The OP says he intends to apply for a CR-1/IR-1. Either the OP really means he's adjusting status (not CR-1/IR-1) and was approved. OR. The wording in this email is all wrong. An I-130 petition for a spouse outside the us does not result in the production of any card.

OP: Are you adjusting status? If so, remove CR-1/IR-1 from your profile. If you are outside the US, take Darnell's advice.

WHEN YOUR HUSBAND MAILED THEM DS 3032 DID HE PUT BAR CODE ON THE TOP OR ANNOTATED NVC CASE NUMBER ON THE TOP OF THE FORM?

Filing I-130 Abroad in Pakistan

Hello VJ Members,
I have a question. I am a U.S. citizen and am planning to go to Pakistan to live with my husband.I want to file my petition while I am in Pakistan and I have afew questions I need answered.

1. If I file my I-130 petition for my husband where do I send the packet to? Read the instructions it says the address for overseas filers
2. Does USCIS accept international money orders for the fees? That is Negative
3. For the address of the petitioner, should I write my address in U.S.A. or the address in Pakistani? His address in Pakistani
4. From Pakistan Courier goes via DHL is that okay? or will there be any problem delivering? DHL Express delivers in 3 days for Rs. 3800 its the best.
5. WHen I am at the NVC stage, do I have to be physically present in the U.S. during the I-864(Affidavit of Support) or can I stay In Pakistan? You can stay in Pakistan and do everything from there.
6. I will be having a joint sponser for the I-864, so can my parents fill out the applciation for me and send it to me to sign and I will forward it to NVC? Yes
7. As for the address of the sponsor(me) on the I-864, should I list my U.S. Adress? Put your Pakistani address its better.

8. Will the Embassy in Islamabad let me attend with my husband to the interview? You will have to call them and ask them but if you are there both of you will be interviewd

I send an email to NVC on July 21 on they replied me back on 29 July that I have been designated as an agent, wait for about 9-10 days and there is nothing wrong sending ds 3032 by regular mail

The Current processing time for US Citizen filling for spouse at VSC is 5 months. i suggest you call USCIS Customer Service Office at 1-800-375-5283 for assistance. To give you an idea My I-130 Was Approved On June 15 2012 NVC received it On July 2 2012 NVC issued Case # on July 19 2012 Case Completed August 10 2012 now waiting for an interview date

Adding baby to petition?

A child born in wedlock to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent is a citizen as long as the US Citizen parent was present in the U.S. for 5 years prior to the child?s birth, two of which were after age 14.
