K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOk, I am a bit slow in the head....

when ever an ajudicator performs any type of work on your case ... you are 'touched' and you will a date change with your online status. you can register at the site once you have your NOA1 # (also located on the back of your cancelled check). some people are:

*never touched and approved

*never touched and RFE'd

*touched once and then approved

*touched several times and approved

*touched several times and RFE'd

see the pattern here?? unfortunately, there is no way that anyone here on VJ can tell you if you case will or will not be touched and how many times.

you can check your online status here!!

honestly, i wouldn't worry about it. if it makes you feel better, she can bring along a new DS-230 with her to the interview with a current copy of a paystub & employment letter ... really though, in the thick of it, it most likely will not even raise a blip on the radar screen. as long as your pay hasn't changed, i'm sure it will be fine!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLetter and Proof of Meeting
you dont' need a letter. you can simply answer that question by saying: met in USA 8/05 (i'm assuming '05 since 8/06 isn't here yet ... typo on your part)

then you need to provide evidence of your 8/2005 meeting.

best of luck to you!!!

if passport photos that are $2 cheaper makes it easier for you ... you may want to re-evaluate your financial plan. this should be the simple, no-brainer part of your I-129F application as there are many more costs heading your way.

best of luck!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresAnybody know anything about the medical
What are “medical grounds of inadmissibility”?
“Medical grounds of inadmissibility” is a term used when an applicant has a health condition which is a public health concern to the United States. Under the U.S. immigration laws, the medical grounds of inadmissibility are divided into four categories:

*communicable disease of public health significance;
*lack of required vaccinations (for immigrant visa applicants only);
*physical or mental disorders with harmful behavior; and
*drug abuse/drug addiction.

Are all physical or mental disorders considered “medically-related grounds of ineligibility”?
No. The Civil Surgeon or Panel Physician must determine that there is no harmful behavior associated with the disorder in question. If you have a history of a physical or a mental disorder, there must be a harmful behavior that is likely to recur in order for it to make you ineligible. If your condition has no associated harmful behavior, then you can proceed with your application process.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDon't get frustrated...
absolutely jay!!!

i was just saying that we all have our sob stories and we have all had our moments of depression. sometimes it seems that there will never be an end, but there is and people really need to stay positive for their own sanity.

being with your fiance(e)/spouse makes up for the distance you've spent apart because it WAS worth it. although the men can't understand, i relate this process to childbirth ... as soon as you're in each others arms, you forget about all the pain you went through to get there!!!

thanx again, jay!!

Russia, Ukraine and Belarusmaybe im an idiot

And ladies, we're guys. So if we can find a version of you that's a little better looking, a little younger, and a little more willing to take care of us.... we're going to. We might not, cause after all this, we really do love you, but in the back of our minds, the grass is always greener.

This is just human nature. We can't help but think things like this.... at first. But then, our minds and hearts and emotions and everything else takes over and if we're lucky, we find the one that's just right for us. Or, we concede and decide "That's it. There's no way I'm going to trade up from this one. Better take this deal while it's still on the table."

sorry slim ... that's not human nature, although it's nice to finally see a man confront, openly admit and share his massive feelings of insecurity. :hehe:

ChinaPolice reports from China

Even if at the Embassy they told me I needed it, I actually never spent a full year in China.
Is the time spent in a foreign country supposed to be continuous for at least a year, or do they officially consider that is it the cumulative time spent in that country? Where to find that explicit rule?
Thanks

mmhmm

Police certificates are required from every visa applicant aged 16 years or over for each locality of the country of the applicant‹s nationality or current residence where the applicant has resided for at least six months since attaining the age of sixteen. Police certificates are also required from all other countries where the applicant has resided for at least one year.

IF the applicant is living in their country of nationality at their current residence for more than 6 months
AND is 16 years old or older
THEN the applicant needs a police certificate from the police authorities of that locality.

IF the applicant lived in a different part of their country of nationality for more than 6 months
AND was 16 years or older at that time
THEN the applicant needs a police certificate from the police authorities of that locality.

IF the applicant lived in a different country for more than 12 months
AND was 16 years or older at that time
THEN the applicant needs a police certificate from the police authorities of that locality.

IF the applicant was arrested for any reason, regardless of how long they lived there
AND was any age at that time
THEN the applicant needs a police certificate from the police authorities of that locality.

christina!!

that is such great news!! so happy to hear it! good for you also for remaining true to who you are and not writing them off. i'm sure sujeet's recent holiday made a big difference. i bet sujeet couldn't stop gushing about you ... his smiles at the mention of your name should have been proof enough and spoke volumes about the special relationship you share.

as a mother, she must have been so relieved to see how well he looks and sounds and about all the wonderful stories he shared with her about your life together.

i am just really happy for you both ... you deserve it! (F)
