K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	FINALLY! SOME CLOSURE! Interview went extremely well in Montreal. Got in line around 7AM, got back out with our hearts full to bursting by 9AM. The word "approved" never felt so good. I actually met another VJer in line who's name I can't remember, but she went through CSC and applied after April. Also a few other folks who at least knew of the site, if not directly participated on it. Hoping everyone else there did well, seems like we were the only ones from a Jan filing to be there though. Now the wait for DHL. We recently had a nightmarish experience with them shipping from the US to Canada where it took nearly three weeks to get a single box to the destination. Doesn't really instil confidence but I'm hoping that since its Canada-to-Canada, and official government documents, that we have more luck with it. We finalized the details on our wedding cake for our day earlier this morning. It will be a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting. I said, "Vanilla and Chocolate...like us!" K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	We tried to get Javi's SS Card today but they couldn't find him in the system Sucks... so the lady said that immigration has 30 days to contact her and if they do, the application will go through. If not, it will be denied. I had a super frustrating day today though: had an interview that I'm pretty sure I bombed (super tough, difficult questions), couldn't change my name at the bank because I don't have a driver's license with my current address (just moved), can't change my address at the DMV because I don't have bills or a bank statement with the current address, ahhhhhh a super annoying loop de loop.... We arrived in the US on the 23rd and have been trying to adjust to life here, the cold, living with my parents for the time being, etc. We will probably get married in November but no date yet. Working on that! I feel like we have barely had time to sleep with all of the running around and visiting, etc. He enjoyed Halloween immensely last night and we laughed a lot as he freaked some people out while we were driving and he was wearing a Scream mask! You can't wear masks in Honduras...people think you are there to rob them...so it was quite a new experience to be able to go to the mall with a mask on! LOL. Will try to stay connected here and let y'all know when we have any exciting news like marriage or our own place, etc.!!! POE wasn't too bad. The officer asked when his next flight was and let him go through after a few questions. It was a wonderful reunion! I wish I could've taken all of today off to spend with him, but the weekend is almost here. I've never been happier Now to get the marriage license and actually get married! My fiance just arrived for his flight from Dublin to JFK and they said that his flight won't do preclearance for immigration, and that they only do that for flights to Boston. Of course, when I was researching this before we booked the flight, it said all flights out of terminal 2. So now once he gets to JFK, he has only 2 hours to do immigration and customs before his last flight to get to my city. Fingers crossed. You will not know until when ur fiancee gets here. Im hoping for all the best. 2 hours could be more than enough as well as it can be to little. it all depends on the traffic at immigration and how do they deal with K1s. when i got in @ ATL, the visitors line was long but they had two CBA that dealt with K1 and Spousal visas so i was process real quickly. (That was the first available one for MTL) (sigh) 361 days from Filing petition to interview.. gotta be the slowest process on earth!! But I certainly feel better knowing I have a date now. I am camping out in my empty apartment tonight since a big storm decided to come when my love was going to head home from saying goodbye to his dad...and was going to pick me up and take me to his mom's house for the night. But by the time the rain stopped, it was wayyyy too late for all of that....so I have a side table and a fridge left along with 5 suitcases. ROCKIN' Saturday night in here, folks!!! LOL. I have to somehow construct a bed....good thing I am really dang tired after a wild day of getting rid of most of my possessions! Safe travels tomorrow. POE @ Atlanta should be a breeze. But when he walked out of the Embassy with the envelope and the visa in his passport, it was so worth it! We fly to the US tomorrow!! I applied on January 17 and finally got a text message yesterday saying that our application had finally been approved on Monday, October 15. I need a drink. We waited one day short of 9 months for a response. During that time, we never got an RFE, and never received any answer from anyone at USCIS as to why our application was delayed for so long. From what I gathered by speaking with my Congressman's staff, an immigration officer at the Vermont Service Center first got his/her hands on our application on October 3. I had filed a Service Request back on August 23. Lesson to everyone else still waiting -- dig in for the long haul and use every means of communication possible. I contacted a Senator and a Congressman, called the phone line weekly, spoke with the tier 2 people repeatedly, filed a service request, emailed the VSC several times, emailed USCIS HQ several times, and was about to go in for an INFOPASS appointment on Thursday. I also filed a report with the USCIS Ombudsman. Who knows what it was that eventually caused them to pick up our file -- the horrible thing is that probably nothing I did made any difference, and I will almost certainly never know. Oh well, at least it's done. I'm almost too exhausted to be excited about it. Almost ;-) Now on to the NVC..... Best of luck to everyone still waiting!
