Middle East and North Africa	Combating the "yo mama don't live here" issue	I want to start by saying that I adore my husband, and for the most part, our relationship is great. It gets rocky, however, when it comes to the house work. Some of ya'll don't know about me, so I'll fill you in. I'm an independent contractor courier. Because of this, I was able to take a year off last year and have a baby, then go live with my fiance in Morocco for 6 months while waiting for his interview. When returning from Morocco last year, my mother had offered us a bedroom to crash in until we could adjust his status and save for an apartment. At the last minute, she pulled out and we had to use the money we'd saved for AOS for a security deposit on an apartment. Not having the money for AOS right away hasn't been an issue, because we have a toddler, and my husband stays home to take care of her. Now, I work 2 jobs, 60 hours, 6 days a week. I keep my family comfortable this way- he's got his playstation, his satellite tv, his internetz, and my daughter has toys and books all over the place. Therein lies the problem. They're ALL OVER THE PLACE. He sits at home and plays all damn day, pausing to feed himself and our daughter, and does little else. God help me, I try to keep up by at least keeping the kitchen and bathroom clean enough to pass a health inspection, but my jobs are physically and mentally stressful, and I come home tired, man. I don't know how else to reason with him. I've taken the computer to work with me, he sits and watches TV all day and guilt trips me that he can't talk to his family when I do that. It's like having a damned teenager. I'm not saying that he's not appreciative of me- our daughter is a very happy kid, well fed, and he's teaching her Arabic, which is awesome, and he's a fantastic snuggler and stress reliever, which is equally awesome. I just feel like he needs to pull some more weight around here. I need some advice from my sisters. Another in case you don't know me- if you come out and say I'm being used and I should leave him, I will lash out at you viciously and this thread will be closed quickly- so please don't go there, because I need some constructive real life advice. Thanks Sarah Probably you get him to help around the house by doing simple chores together. Example instead of you washing dishes allow both of you do it together. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	the problem is that once you file for the K1 and an adjudicator reviews the petition, the data is most likely collected in some way (that's how they know if a beneficiary has been involved in multiple K1s in the past). The denial is probably recorded somehow, somewhere, and even when applying for a tourist visa to the US in the future it could come back to affect the applicant. But even if they somehow managed to get in..you would have sponsored them for a K1 in the past and then suddenly married on a tourist visa...it wouldn't look good at all. it would never work. I would imagine once you start down this path...the only other option is marriage in the country of the beneficiary and an IR/CR1 if the K1 fails...I feel like the K1s run into problems more often than the spousal visas... i dont wanna be negative but i think i would just go for a visit and get married at the first chance we have and i just stay and file IR/CR1..wait the 3-4 months for the approval and we should be good. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	seeing a few denials these days......there were 2 yesterday evening. its highly possible that whatever stuff she said was missing from the petition is the likely reason for denial. maybe something an RFE could not fix. Im really sorry to hear about her denial, if your still reading Rachal, is it possible to post the stuff you forgot? We have no criminal records, nothing. The journey is over for us now. I cannot wait any longer. We must be together. I am gonna get everything in order to move to him and marry him there. Does anybody have any advice? I'm in shock. Complete shock. 6.5 months and a denial. I don't understand! If I live with him there, can I apply for a marriage visa for the U.S. in like a year? I am certain I am going there. That's the only way. I pray no one else gets denied. What an unbelievable, horrible nightmare this year has been. This is some messed up stuff. My heart really goes out to you.....after 6.5 months wait. the more i see these denials right now. the more im fretting and wondering.....what if???. The short form is what the state issues if you need another copy. The long form is valid legal document WITH the raised seal, but not as a copy. The state issued form has intricate photo-copy technologies not available on long form. i only wish is that i dont get a mean adjudicator, it really sucks to wait 6 and a half month just to get that. and then they take so effing long to reply to the response	djricky4	Male	Jamaica	2012-07-27 06:17:00

It had all of my parent's info on it etc. They wanted the state one. Stupid mistake that could have been avoided if I had just copied and sent my passport instead... I sent it back on 7/23, same day I got it. I am hoping our status changes to RFE review soon. Thanks for asking! He said he would ask the USCIS to expedite our case... I don't keep my hopes up, we will see what will be the result of that... Updates for today: January 9: 1 x denial January 10: 1 x approval January 18: 1 x RFE January 4 : 1 x RFE (after almost 7 months!!!) K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	okay. what is happening at VSC? this has seriously been one of the slowest weeks for approval in a very long time...things are bad...i really wish someone could give us some answers...I guess it's off to the senator now...i'm feeling pretty certain my Congressman got a relatively canned response..still not a word from them...not good. Seems like we were already assigned to adjudicators who are now having to review cases they gave RFEs from earlier in the month.....thats the only explanation to the stand still. there were a lot of RFEs for peeps in the Jan 6th to jan 13th so maybe they just getting back and approving those, and due to this, we get pushed back cause i cant see any other reason. jan 18th-20th is just at a stand still	djricky4	Male	Jamaica	2012-07-26 14:34:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	January I-129F filers	Well here's some partial good news: RFE that was sent on July 13th we got and responded to on July 18th. It was delivered on July 19th around 1PM, and yesterday morning they finally updated the status to RFE Response Review. In between the delivery reciept and yesterday I was panicking that they might have lost it or, worse yet, held it against me that I stapled the pictures to the TOP of the RFE papers, an not the bottom. I've heard of some people being forced to wait the 60 day timeout if they didn't put RFE on top, and even though the pictures were in a ziplock bag with the blue papers behind very clearly showing...well, after the RFE for faces being too big, I figured they'd try to extend the wait as long as they could So now begins the potential 60 day wait for RFE response, but I feel a lot more comfortable knowing that, indeed, my petition is in human hands. My touched date prior to RFE was 2/10 so the bin we were in is likely not the same as any of those 2/9er touches from Jan. It's extremely difficult for us still waiting not to speculate. I just hope for those getting to 180, 190+ days that this doesn't ruin the Summertime for you Just keep calling, keep asking, keep checking with Congress-folks. NO WAY are we all giving up on things now. Right? RIGHT?! Looking forward to your next numbers run, Sabi. One would think that the idea that any day could be the day for approval would make one relieved. But it only causes more anxiety and disappointment. It's the same cycle every day and it becomes exhausting for both people in the relationship. Thank god most of us are very strong. There should be an absolute limit on processing time that qualifies one for an expedite (not this garbage with a reported processing date which USCIS completely controls and can designate whatever date it chooses). I knew 190 would do this to me..It's so incredibly hard. And to think I'll have to tell my fiance again probably that we just have to be hopeful for next week..Maybe I should be the one immigrating. It doesn't seem like too bad of an idea lately. Honestly I could live just about anywhere (within reason). Congress man office emailed us that they are going to contact uscis about our case and that we should wait a few days to hear from her to receive some reposes from uscis. i certainly hope this helps. and to every one else in the struggle continue to hold on, i know its hard, who feels it know so we gotta support provide morale support to each other.
