I know that one of their requirements is birth certificate, but my love have lost his birth certificate? he only have US citizenship certificate. He will get his birth certificate in Nigeria since he was born there in Nigeria? any idea of this VJ members? pls... is US citizenship okay already? Reply pls.thank you If the person filing for you is a USC by naturalization he just needs to send his naturalization certificate or a copy of his US passport which is also proof that he is a USC. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	F2A upgrade to CR1	If you are already married you can go ahead and file for the I-130 and wait for the approval which can take anywhere from 3-7 months. When you get the citizenship you send in your request for an upgrade by either email or telephone. Usually you will get a response after about 3 weeks. It worked for me and there is no reason why it should not work for you and it is reliable. Check out my timeline. But it looks like (someone please correct me if I am wrong), that once in the US I can just go and get my driver's license name and SSN name changed without too much effort? So I could then use those documents to prove I was using my married name and change my passport then, and then change my green card. My god this unnecessarily complicated. The visa will be issued in the name of the passport and your green card will then also have that name. All the papers submitted in my case had my married name and my passport was in my maiden name. I had planned to change it before the interview but did not do so. My visa was issued in my maiden name also my SSN. My mother would not be able to do any of this kind of paperwork. Although she can read well it does not mean that she understands what she read. Will this be the last package I receive before I get the package with the interview date? yes Is the"interview date" package the one the medical instructions are in? yes Also, in the "what happens next" part of the package, they want me to contact my husband to ensure the documents are completed and returned to the NVC as directed. He was directed to send them to Missouri, and not the NVC.
