IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	CR1 Visa Requirements	Good day to all. about two (2) months ago i was desperately seeking co sponsor...now my search is over...what a relief for me..i eventually got one of my cousin to be my co sponsor...she already sign and submit the required documents to my husband attorney which will then be sent to the NVC later on once my attorney gets all the required documents and paperwork...along with my husband payment to the NVC...now am just waiting on my husband do his part.my question is now that i eventually have a co sponsor who makes way more over the poverty level ...does my husband still need to prove Immigrations that he's financially stable?because my aunt from Canada told me that my husband will need money in his bank account...like over $2000USD to show to immigration that he can support me...is any of this true?despite having a co sponsor he now has a new job that he started working last month..but he hasn't save anything from it yet and he doesn't have money in any of his bank accounts...so am wondering if this would be a problem by the time the CR1 visa paperwork is process...I just don't want any problems or complications when i go for my interview....so i need to know if my aunt is telling the truth? I am really confused by your predicament, you said that you are a citizen of the "US and A" and then you say that you are not part of the United States of America... really confused here. If you are a US citzen then put U.S.A. ..... our country is called "The United States of America" after all so "U.S.A." would be correct... Ummm actually the Americas is the continent which is divided into 2 north america for the usa and its states and south america for the rest. I dont think it would be acceptable to put north american- i mean nobody says that but then just american would not seem sufficient either in my view. I get your point abt the USA cos u know a citizen of jamaica is jamaican,china chinese,canada canadian etc...so to answer ur question?i'm confused myself :-) but i wud listen to those who filled out this form already.maybe a forms sear h on this site will help. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	RCBA for my daughter	i dont know for the phillipines but for my country jamaica we have to bring docs pesonally to nconsulate and also dad has to be present.fo jamaica it also takes up to 6 weeks for the crba (counsular report of birth abroad) to come back along withj baby's us passport and social security #.the baby cannot enter the us without the crba (proofe of us citizenship) and us passport. u should contact theus consulate in your country and find out these details.it would suck to have your visa and still have to wait another 6 weeks fo baby's passport... Bull! it does not take 2 months to get noa1 in fact the official word from uscis is to contact themm after 4 weeks if u have'nt received notification. so go on their website get the contact # and call them... secondly unless he lives at his jobs uscis does not need to knoww abt job change.they need to know if mailing/residential address has been changed not jobs... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Igor's list how reliable?	i check the list daily! we are cr1 filers tho and the cr1 list is slower than k1 list (meaning days will past with no approval)...we are june filers and the june list only have 13 and when i see 4 approvals off that list for june already it makes me happy...4% or not somebody at vsc is working on a june batch! and it makes me hopeful... also the timeline estimates would be directly related to igor's list right?many persons attest to their vj timeline estimates being correct (altho many too have said inaccurate) but today my glass is half full,i start my day with a smile on my face just becos my vj estimate moved me into august 31st for noa2! cant help it...it gives me hope and today i believe! goodluck to all and Godbless! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	More confusion	wow! well an ap is better than a denial right? it think this is good news kay...as i understand it tho an ap can take up to 6 months (that's what i've read on here) but it could take less time...i mean there cant b that many jamaican's on ap right?and if i understand correctly its the embassy that does the additional processing (not sure abt this)... can somebody say if at the end of ap there will be another interview?? if so then kay u have to find out exactly what went wrong and what ur fiance said to get them in a frenzy... goodluck girlie,the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train coming afterall ...hang in there it could all be over soon! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Denied ?	hi...i'm so sorry that u have to be going thru this i know how heart aching and confusing these setbacks can be. we applied for k1 in august and on december 30 they sent us a notice "accepting" the withdrawal of our file.according to them my fiance sent in a letter with this request.this was the first we were knowing of this.we wrote them letters saying he did not write such a letter,that it must be an error on their part,that if they do have such a letter it was fraudulent and that we do love each other and have every intention of getting married.we put in a service request and had his senator call.they said they will review it and get back to us.all this too place in january 2011.we are yet to have any form of response from them.we got mariied in april and filed for cr1 with a lawyer this time. just wanted to share our story and let u know u r not alone.i hope u r one of the lucky ones who gets some attention from them and have this sorted out soon. btw did they explain the difference between denied and refused?? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Don't know what to do	wow Kay i was really hoping for some quick good news for u guys ... well u already know my story and as i said before it has now been 6 months and counting and the last correspondence we got in jan 2011 from vsc said to give them 60 days to review...nothing since then... we went ahead and got married becos we preferred to refile as married not fiance.we did not want to put our marriage on hold any longer. u were planning married in 3 months or so anyways so if u r going to refile i wud agree with refiling i130... its pretty hard to get info from them when things like this happen and its a hard choice to make in just waiting or refiling.we contacted a lawyer in our matter and she said that she has seen many cases like that and that its faster to just refile similar advice also came from senator's office... goodluck in whatever u decide	WaitingToExhale	Female	Jamaica	2011-07-01 14:34:00

Mandy it sounds like you are a cr-1 visa, if that's the case you are supposed to get it shortly within arriving in the states. The other posters are K-1's like myself and we applied 2 weeks, 2 days after his arrival and we got it in about 2 weeks. Yes, I am a CR-1 Visa. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	The Wait is Finally Over!!!!!	We learned today that my husband's visa is ready to be picked from DHL in Montego Bay. The agony is finally over. We were under adminstrative processing from his day of approval, Sept. 16, 2010 - Dec. 7, 2010. I just called the DoS and they told me his visa is waiting for pick up. It would have been nice to have know yesterday because it was my husband's birthday. Yes! He will be home for christmas!!!!!!!! I want to thank everyone for thier advice and words of encouragment.
