USCIS Service CentersVSC OR CSC
you are correct, CSC is currently processing petitions 2 months ahead of VSC. dont count your self lucky yet because when we filed in jan 2012, the average wait time was about 110 days @ VSC, a full month and a half in front of CSC and we were happy our petition went there, things change as the months went by the times flipped. we got approved when the average wait @ VSC was about 180 days. we waited for over 6 1/2 months. good luck

USCIS Service CentersWhat is my actual NOA1 date?
dont be fooled, this NOA1 date is of no importance apart from knowing when your behind processing date. They work base on the date that USCIS has that it was received. regardless of which date it is, it doesnt affect when your approved, they said they process in order of when each petition is received so just hang tight and good luck

USCIS Service CentersWhat decides what service center you get?

that would be nice if VSC sent some applications to CSC to ease the workload so the wait time isn't twice as long as California.

im just hoping the wait doesnt hit 9 months for NOA2 @ VSC before they start doing something about it. its usually dependent on the state in which the USC lives

OP. Visa journey is in no way connected to USCIS, they just use the information and dates we post to generate some stats and provide us with some estimated times that we can expect to get approved but in no way accurate right now as things are not in order @ VSC. I really feel you all pain. i cant believe this is whats really going on @ VSC while @ CSC peeps getting approved in 70 days.....sad :(

USCIS Service CentersIS VSC AND CSC SWITCHING BACK AND FORTH
it all depends on the work load that they have. they have no control over the amount of petitions that are received each day so the speed @ each center cant be predicated

where your petition ends up is completely dependent on which state the petitioner resides. so i dont know if you consider that as luck. only 2 service centers.....VSC and CSC.

its impossible to tell when you will get approved. All you can do is wait and hope for a speedy approval. CSC seems to be working real fast so you can expect to hear from them in the next month or so

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)K-1 interview ends in administrative review

Hello VJ..

Well, we had the interview only to have my man turned away with NO ANSWER!!!! The Moroccan U.S. Consulate in Casablanca spent 30 minutes with him and then handed him his passport and said he would be contacted. That is it. I know the outcome is unpredictable. But the endless wait is torturous. Does anyone have any positive stories to share after this scenario? I have contacted my congresswoman and will also contact the Consulate itself after a week or so. There was no indication of flaws in my fiance's performance. I just do not understand!

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Blessings to all in wait.

Allison and Didi

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusInterview Prep for Moscow

Hello all!!!

My fiancé (Sveta) will have her interview in Moscow August 29. As far as my financial documents, everything is very well prepared. My only question is about our evidence...

Here is what we have...

About 25 emails dated for various dates.
Skype Logs showing all calls and some messaging.
80 pictures
Scans of our passports showing a vacation in Cyprus.
Hotel receipts (Moscow and Cyprus)
A printed page (from her email) showing all poems and dates that I wrote them.
Calling card receipts and records.
Flight receipts from our trip to Cyprus.
Several cards that I sent to her.
All of her required papers.
Her engagement ring and receipt.
Not to mention email copies of floral receipts and we "front loaded" out initial petition.

Does it seem like enough????

Thanks in advance!!!

you should be ok......good luck and all the best

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusCredit card debt an issue to leaving Russia?

Zhenya has a friend who just told her a story (another scary story from a friend) of a man who was not allowed to leave at the airport because of his credit card debt.
Z has about $3K of CC debt - I plan to finish paying that off after all of these expenses are behind us...

Should this be an issue at any point of her departure? It doesn't seem like it to me, but I told her I would ask here.

Thanks!

wow. i guess you know what you gotta do

I am of the opinion that it only works sometimes or with some countries. I have tried over and over and it tells me the same thing that you are getting. My interview is next week and it still says the same rubbish on that system.

Good thing I did not pay much attention to that or I would have been worried. If you need information you may just have to call or email but you may just get the standard answer that you should wait 60 more days etc.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)I-601 does not apply, but asked to file....

Your problem is that he entered illegally (Entered Without Inspection or entered on a fraudulent visa). I do believe that they were correct in saying that he must file the I-601 waiver.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)I-601 does not apply, but asked to file....

Hi everyone,

My husband had an interview on June 2012 and he was found inadmissible and was told to file form I-601. My lawyer says that the embassy` s decision was reached in error and we should not file such form. Although my husband entered the USA illegally, he was granted voluntary departure and left U.S prior to 180 days.

Waivers (I-601 and I-212) and Administrative Processes (221g)I-601 does not apply, but asked to file....

He was only here for 5 months, and once he went back he had to go at the embassy as ordered by the judge. So, he has proof/stamp on his passport....

What happened for him to be given orders by a judge? That may be the source of the problem.

Was he arrested?

Oh well.. it looks like my marriage isn't going to happen unfortunately.
She told me today that she does not want to come to America, and to not call.
I suppose after 9 months of this process I am a bit worn out.
I don't really know the reason; I don't make enough, she met someone else, or some other reason.

Good luck to the rest of you and I'll check in with you from time to time. And thanks to all of those folks who have been so helpful: Bobalouie, Kazan, Slim, and others. Maybe this is for the best.. who knows? smile.gif

My husbands name is not on the BC either. I know ALOT of yardies who got through juss fine without the name. So long as you have the "long" form BC you should be all good. I din't put a father on the I-130 either...I just put unknown. I forget who on the Yardie VJ side told me this is ok, but I asked this question months ago and a few folks said it was not a problem.

Kish, I'm confused by your timeline, it says that your consulate in Armenia and that you filed I-130 back in 2004? Is this correct? I am assuming either your husband is not a US citizen or you were petitioned by someone else cause you have been in NVC for almost 3 years.
Anyway, I think you are going to be ok with the BC.

Marlita,

Please forgive my errors on the timeline (not so computer savvy and i was not keeping the dates correct until i visted this site and realize what is to be done). My husband first file in 2005 (he was a LRA). We got married 2004 July. He got naturalized January 16, 08 and my case upgraded...We paid US$400 for IV fee and he sent in the AOS on Monday March 17th. Call NVC same day they said they were sending out instructions for me to complete DS-230.

Hope this info is a bit clearer.......thats why i was asking bout the birth cerficate cause i read online that it needed both parents name.

Thanks you

Please give any futher guidance that you can

Hello All,

Im in the process of putting together my supporting documents to send in my DS-230. The problem is my fathers name is not on my birth certficate (I hear this is a problem) .. My father died when i was a child and really dont know much about him he was never apart of my life and i dont even remember ever seeing the man. Can anyone give me some advise.....My husband and I have been apart for a very long time and i beginning to get a bit worried. Based on the Flow Chart that i received from a good friend we are almost complete the NVC section of the process.

So how long do you figure after the NVC authourize our documents before i get an interview date.
