oh mayn! u sould have fedexed it! much more reliable and would have saved all this worry...i hope its not lost and she gets it soon...

also u should have her call the place in montego bay and find out info before going again becos they also do police record at the savannalanmar police station but not for immigration purposes.if for immigration they say u have to go to kingston so i dont know if its like that for mobay so try calling and finding out asap...

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaSTRING OF DENIALS COMING OUT OF JAMAICA
and as u said being a high fraud country does'nt help! fact is alot of people from here (since its jamaica we're talking abt) either pay someone top $ to pretend for them or they fool someone into believing whilst they pretend.the embassy is the one that ends up with the stats abt how many divorce or try to stop the process somewhere between aos and directly after greencard...so they deny and sadly gets it wrong sometimes :(...

my thoughts...

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaDoes a short term relationship effect k1 visa approval?
ummm they dont have a specific period u have to be in a relationship for but they do say u must have physically seen partner in last 2 years.also the we have to consider that even for us length of time in a relationship does lend a certain degree of confidence in the couple.that said i believe that this is also true for CO.but also just as important is proof of on going relationship...unfortunately jamaica is tabled as a high visa fraud country and so our odds are different than say maybe a UK or canadian embassy...

this is a long and hard process and is not for the weak of heart and it is made even longer and harder because people uses people for personal gain...not just in JA but other countries too where the benificiary only wants green card and so will either "fool up" petitioner or "pay off" petitioner" and this is where "the good suffers with the bad" comes in...saying all this to say that is why someone has the say so on whether or not we be with our loved ones...sometimes they get it right, alot of times they dont...

goodluck on ur visajourney and keep tha faith!

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaJamaican Passports Places and Turnaround Times
haha! yes the plot thickens! :) he lives in orlando actually,i've never been but i'm told alot of similarutes with jamaica.

the most i could do in st ann would be make some calls and smooth out process for him.but a police record is mandatory right?he has to apply for that at the criminals record office (cro) in kingston.so my understanding is if it comes up on the police record then they at the cro would send him to relevant courts office for court record.if it does'nt show up on police record then no problem (which it wont cos traffic offences are not recorded in jamaica)...so the first step is appling at the crminal's record office and take it from there. since there is an issue abt a possible record you guys should get on it asap cos the buearacracy in jamaica is slo-ow!

we're both jamaican but he's the USC and lives in florida. i'm in jamaica with our 21 month old son and 6 months preggers with our second son :)

anyways what parish did he commit the offence in?if its westmoreland i can help cos i work at the court house. was it just a traffic offence that you mentioned?if so then traffic offences are not recored as criminal records so it would'nt affect anything...

ok... the rgd is a good reason,i'm familiar with their bs.after paying for 7 days express service for our marriage cert they too four weeks to have it ready and then sent it with incorrect spelling! (all 5 copies and all theit fault!) had me in the bathroom at work crying with frustration that day :(.

i really hope they have it ready and u guys get his pp before interview date.i did'nt take note of your interview date but i know of persons who has gotten interview dates pushed back by emailing embassy.hope u guys wont have to do this but thought knowing this will alleviate some worries it that happens...

my profile name is what it is cos we had filed k1 last year and after 4 and 1/2 months uscis made an error with our file, said they would fix it in 60 days and then proceeded to ignore us.we had to get a lawyer who said refiling would be quicker and easier than insisting they fix....soooooooo thus holding my breath :(

goodluck with the pp and interview.

the process at uscis they say takes 5 months.mostly they do it in 3-4 months.an expidite should have you an noa2 in 1 months timeor 2 months the most!some persons have it in 2 weeks after an expedite approval so goodluck.

she wont get a tourist visa becos they cant consider 2 different visa at the same time m- they are already considering a spouse visa so a tourist visa more than likely wont be considered and based on the fact that her husband is in the us that automatically makes them think she has less ties in her country...worth a try if u wanna but i doubt it much...

Mexico, Latin & South AmericaFather's Name was added on Birth Certficate when I was twelve years old.
Hey guys,

Just a quick question who gets blue sheeted/slipped to do DNA Testing? I am getting nervous because my father's name was added to my Birth Paper when I was twelve. He has always been in my life since birth but in Jamaica back then this was not important. Now it is. Anyway I am now 32 years old and he filed for me when I was twenty six years old. Does this cause a problem?

My category is "Unmarried sons and daughters of US Citizens over the age of 21 years". It took 6 years for this process to be completed in my category.

Thanks guys.

What sparked this comment? The talk about a job? If so, come on down! I have heard that Texas, esp Houston, didn't suffer as much when the economy dipped.

I've never heard of whitefish spread.

What! What T-Mobile do you have? I def get charged for texting Jamaica.

Whose husband is taking the test? Better hope your state didn't do like Texas and change the law. My husband had to take a driver's education course before he could get his license, but at least since he took the course he didn't have to take the written test.

Eric_Jewnug. She's taking hubby to do his test on Monday but not sure what it entails. In Maryland you have to complete a 3hr drug and alcohol training program and a driving test.

Is there any particular reason you need to have the forms filled out with your married name? I don't think so...I mean your BC still has your maiden name, etc...I would make sure that all the names correlate at least for this phase of the process...maybe I'm wrong though. Cause even though, I have a marriage license...my name still has not legally changed on my DL, SS card, passport etc. I would use the name as it appears on your passport.

I applied for my SSN using my married name and the agent @ the office had advised me to call USCIS and inform them of the name change so they could update my file. While speaking to the USCIS agent, she advised me that I should just complete the application forms using my married. She stressed to me that there will not be any problems as they would have a copy of the marriage cert. that would support the name change. I really don't want to apply for stuff in my maiden name then and then try to change them later. I will investigate some more cause I'm not sending out the paperwork until next week. I'll let you know what I come up with.

A middle aged woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. While on the operating table, she had a near death experience. Seeing God, she asked, "Is my time up"? God said, "No, you have another 43 years, 2 months and 8 days to live."
Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a complete, face-lift, brow lift, lip enhancement, uplift ####### job with implants, liposuction, and a tummy tuck. After her last operation, she was released from the hospital. While crossing the street on her way home, she was hit by an ambulance and killed.

Arriving in front of God, she demanded, "I thought you said I had another 40 years? Why didn't you pull me out of the path of the ambulance?"

God replied, "Girrrlllllll, I didn't even recognize you!"
