Yes it is up to you where you fly into. But if you have a route that gives you options you may want to read through here and find POE threads, as some are tougher than others. Atlanta for instance has a very bad rep for giving grief, Chicago O'Hare on the other hand is seen as good.

There is also one POE in NY that sometimes gives the temporary EAD to work immediately for 3 months or you can ask for it, from memory I think it is JFK (someone will know for sure here). No other airports in the country give this EAD, so if you need to work ASAP worth considering.


True, I got my temporary EAD stamp on the back of my I-94 card without even asking and didn't even realized that until a month after. :lol:

I never heard of anything like that before. Maybe it's a new policy or something to charge you a penalty. :blink:

When we applied for my K1 our Money Order was returned because my fiance (now hubby) wrote it for VSC. We mailed the correct Money Order and got NOA1 in no time.

Are you sure you called the 1 (800) 375-5283 that's the National Customer Service Center? Check here for more info about the Customer Service Center

Abderrahim n tina, once you have K1 visa it is good for 6 months and you should get marry within 90 days after your arrival in the States. I don't see any timelimit of when you should apply for K1...whenever you are ready then you could file at anytime. Good luck! :yes:
