we're in the same boat, people already have churches booked and banquet halls reserved and I don't know when my date is!! I know it'll be sometime in May (or early June) but still I have this inmense fear of planning everything and then in the end having to postpone.

Ok I posted this as a separate topic in the main forum for K1 applicants and got NO response, so I wanted to post it here to see if any of my July filer peeps have had any experience or can offer any advice. Here's the question I asked:

hello everyone, I have another question:

My fiance will be visiting me in november of this year, I'm excited because he'll be here for my sister's wedding and for thanksgiving!! Anyways he usually goes from Panama to Miami, but this time he will be going from Panama directly to Orlando. I know he can visit while we're in the process (and we might even get the NOA2 while he's here! *fingers crossed*) but does anyone have any experiences going through this POE? Now, there is a chance that he might make a stop in Miami (if we purchase the tickets with AA) but if we purchase the tickes through Copa Airlines it'll be a direct flight to Orlando. Please if anyone has any experience going thru Miami or Orlando while in the process of a K1 your insight is greatly appreciated!! As always Good luck and speedy processes to all of you!

yay! yay! yay! Thank you Lord! Today is my day off and wouldn't you know it, when I checked my mail today I got the hard copy of the NOA1!!! I sent it to TX and according to the NOA1 it was transferred to California (I thought it was vermont from what the USCIS website says) but you know what? I don't care the thing is that they've receieved it and the case is there!!!

Ok so the person in charge of the July timelines please do the following changes to michellemilitza:

Well In my case, we'll probably have the wedding in May, the reason why we're doing this so late is because I want to be done with my 2nd year of Pharmacy School (also known as the hardest year out of the 4) to then be able to enjoy my wedding and the first few months of my marriage. Also since we'll be in florida May is the perfect time for an outside wedding, not too hot not too cold and the prices aren't so high because the "high season" for wedding usually starts in June. I'm getting the white dress, party favors, etc. and I've started to call around to get quotes so that way I know what my budget will be, I'm doing all of this now before going back to school because I know that during the semester i will have absolutely NO time for anything other than Rx School (

). Even though it sounds like something big, It's not going to be, I'm aiming for 50 guests or less, and fortunately some of his family members will be able to make it. After getting his paperwork settled, we're planning on doing a big celebration in Panama, but we'll handle that when the time comes lol. Well I hope I didn't bore anyone, I just thought that i could chip in what I'm doing once my other half finally gets here

I sent my I-129F packet on Friday July 20 to the Texas service Center, and USPS confirmed that they got it on Monday July 23 and It even stated the name of the person who signed for it, so I guess I'm "patiently" waiting for the NOA, my package was pretty thick, it was har to fit 7 years of being together in just a few pics and keepsakes, but I know that it's more than enough. I prayed before sending that package so I know that it's in God's hands now. But you know what after sending the packet I thought "wow, I can truly say that in a matter of months we can truly be together!" I'm talking too much..........I hope everything goes well with all of your applications as well

Well you guys aren't the only ones with "bumps" in the process. Ricardo went to the interview in Panama on Monday, March 10, but since he was missing his Record Policivo and Certificado de Solteria (apparently in Panama that takes forever to get) they told him to come back to drop off his paperwork and his passport when everything was ready. This is a long weekend in Panama too and apparently the embassy down there also takes panamanian holidays in addition to the gringo holidays off. Yeah we kicked butt on the interview too, the Guy who interviewed us even said I dont have any doubts about ur realtionship, but i need the antecedentes document to put it in file, I understood why with the whole homeland security deal....
So we are close to getting it very closeeeee

Bueno, we have to hang in there, we are so close and yet inches away!! hopefully we'll here something by next week, hopefully by wed which is Ricardo's B-day, what a nice b-day present huh? LoL....also, at least the person who interviewd you expressed emotion, the person who interviewed my fiance didn't tell him anything, she asked him one question after another. And He even told her that I was there with him, she didn't even look at me.....imagine that, but I guess the worst is over all we have to do is wait, which is something all of us are experts at doing now LoL suerte a todos!

Today is my Fiance's B-day and today I got an e-mail from the Panama embassy saying that his case was approved!!!

His interview was March 10, and he had to go back to turn in some documents that were missing (because by March 10th they weren't ready) so he turned those in on March 19 to the embassy. It's been over a week and still nothing. I tried calling and nothing.........so I decided to write them an e-mail yesterday..........and today we got a response!!! They said he was approved but that they will call him to pick up his VISA, yes that's right they specifically said VISA!! I just love how they make you wait, but I don't care because we know we are approved!!! Gracias a Dios!!. I had to share this with everyone. So to those July filers who are still out there waiting there is still hope, and to those who are starting their journey, don't give up the best is yet to come! Now I'm doing the dance:

Congrats to everyone and I am happy to say that I just got approved no too long ago 12/07....so I'm trying to fiure out what I have to do next. I found a forum about the procedures for the NVC after the NOA-2, but I noticed that it was for another type of visa (the CR type). I filed the K-1 and I know that I have to fill out the I-134. But what else do I need to do? do I need to send any other documents? will I be recieving anything? how will I know when my cas is at the embassy? also when do you guys recommend I call NVC to find out the status of our case? so many questions and so little time! LoL but thanks a lot for your input! we're almost there!!!

I want to thank everyone for your support and at the same time I want to congratulate everyone too! my process took 234 days... I don't know how we survived but we did it!

Today I officially bought the ticket for my fiance's arrival, our lifelong journey begins on June 10. I know what some of you are asking, why is the arrival so far away? well simple: I'm still in school right now (3 more weeks to go yay!) and I had bought a ticket to visit him in May. Either way I needed a vacation so we decided that he would wait for me to visit first and then he would come to the states. I'm so excited! in about two months I'll be a married woman!! we're doing the legal stuff first and then later in the summer we're doing a simple yet elegant ceremony on the beach with a nice reception afterwrds....I am sooo excited. For next year he'll be living with me while I'm still in school but our living arrangements are already taken care of. Thank God that everything has just fallen into place. It's amazing how in the end everything is just turning out right and it's all because of my faith in Him.

Jeraly I'm sooo happy that you are finally at the end of your journey, I've been rooting for you all along, I know you will do awesome at the interview!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am pleased to announce that My fiance has finally been approved! We just got confirmation from the embassy saying he has been approved, but that they will call him to pick up his VISA!! I'm so glad they said VISA because the torture is over!! He was missing two documents: his police papers, "record policivo" (I don't know how to say that in english), and his certificate stating that he is single "carta de solteria" (again I don't know how to say this in english). but he showed his receipts that he requested those papers over two weeks ago and that he's in the process of getting them. Apparently in Panama this takes FOREVER to get, almost 1 month, but he did pass the interview

they just gave him a green sheet stating that he needed to bring back those documents with his passport and that was it! He doesn't have to do another interview or anything..... the worst is over!

I was there with him and let me tell you they grilled him! they asked him so many detailed questions one right after another, but I'm so proud of him because he remembered how old we were when we started dating, what year etc. So I'm not officially doing the dance until he tells me he dropped of his papers with his passport meaning that he has officially been approved.

Yet another question about the Texas Service Center

Hello everyone I sent my I-129F to the Texas Service Center last week, and as I was looking through the forums I found out that it will be forwarded to California. My question is, since the fees change after the 31st, and since it will probably be a good 2-3 weeks before I receieve my first NOA1, will I still be charged the old fees for the rest of the process? I've read numerous messages but haven't wuite found the answer because my petition is the "lucky" few that has to be forwarded to another Center to begin the process. Alsoe I sent a money order instead of a check is there a way to "track" when they cash it? I appreciate the help you guys and Good luck to everyone!

As long as its postmarked before the 30th, you will be charged the old fees.

Depends on who provided the money order. You will have to ask them.

Thanks a lot, I guess that eases my mind a little, and I found out that my file will be forwarded to Vermont....does anyone have any input on how this Center is?

question about interview

hello, my forgein finace hasn'e been assigned an interview yet, but I was just wondering about something. I've been reading the forums and have noticed that the USC can go with the forgein fiance to the interview. Is this true? I read a review that another member wrote about their experience at the embassy in Panama and from what I understood she was there at the interview with her fiance. Any input on this? Any panamanians out there who have been through this process and give me some advice? thanks!

Anyone go though MCO (Orlando,FL)?

hello everyone, I have another question:

My fiance will be visiting me in november of this year, I'm excited because he'll be here for my sister's wedding and for thanksgiving!! Anyways he usually goes from Panama to Miami, but this time he will be going from Panama directly to Orlando. I know he can visit while we're in the process (and we might even get the NOA2 while he's here! *fingers crossed*) but does anyone have any experiences going through this POE? Now, there is a chance that he might make a stop in Miami (if we purchase the tickets with AA) but if we purchase the tickes through Copa Airlines it'll be a direct flight to Orlando. Please if anyone has any experience going thru Miami or Orlando while in the process of a K1 your insight is greatly appreciated!! As always Good luck and speedy processes to all of you!

YES! Thank you! I know I get so sad sometimes missing my man, but really we'll be together soon. Although it may feel like it at times it's not the end of the world. And I'd rather not listen to complaining or complain all the time about it. Of course I've had my moments........when I feel like I wanna ring someones neck, but I need to keep the right focus, or else I'll be on Prozac too, and maybe a few others as well! We'll be happy together, if you hear me gripe just remind me!!

Question 7 on I-134

I'm using my mother as a co-sponsor and I have everthing I need except for question 7...... on the last line in that section it asks for the value of mortages or other encumbrance's. Now, my mother doesn't own she rents, would the monthly rent be considered an encumberance? thanks a lot everyone!
