If you cannot work it out by talking but instead just give up on sharing something fun together, that is bad news.

We talked about it, got professional help, etc. All to no avail

Russia, Ukraine and BelarusThe movies you wanted to share
I have never seen many movies but I am looking forward to sharing many with Natalya.

Of the ones I have seen, I like action films, such as Steven Seagal, I like drama and I like comedy. Do not like horror films, do sometimes like chick flicks.

I am finally getting to a point in my life where I want to take it a bit easier. Movies seem like a good diversion to work. Sitting on the sofa, drink in one hand and my arm around my sweetie, watching some flick on the HDTV seems pretty close to heaven.

I wanted to watch movies with my former wife, but she would talk during the movie or make comments about something that might be suggestive or a face someone made. It was upsetting so I just gave up watching movies together. I like to just enjoy the story line or the action, I do not desire to hear a continued critique of the film. After it is complete, sure, lets talk about the flick and voice our opinions.

There are certain problems, unique to members of the RU forum, when it comes to webcam sex. First of all, the light on our shiny bald heads tends to create distracting flares and white-outs on the camera. Under certain lighting conditions, especially with lighting sources over 60 watts, we've been known to completely burn the lens out of anything except military grade webcams. There is also the problem of flab jiggle, which creates refresh rate lag on anything but the fastest broadband connections. Wearing of a manssiere is highly recommended. Finally, our ancient arthritic hands often have difficulty positioning the cam just right, leading our just-turned-18 beauties to have webcam sex with the ceiling light fixture or our 1970's era shag carpeting.

Understood

I have a similar problem, I just shaved for the first time in 20 years, the glare off my white skin is blinding, see avatar (photo of me prior to shave). star_smile.gif

I have given the "teasing" (exposure, sneak peaks, virtual sex, etc) idea with webcam a bit of thought; sure it sounds fun but she lives at home with parents; I think we will settle for "proper" conversations.

Hey Russian, Belarus and Ukraine Members;

I tried my first real venture with a webcam. Of course, speeds in Russia are slow so it is not true video. I am sure most of you have been using webcams for months if not years. I must admit, this was great fun. I have not see Natalya since my last trip, almost two months ago. Seeing her on webcam reminded my how sexy she is, reminded me of her beautiful smile and reminded me of her home and her room.

What have been your experiences with webcams? Other than chats, what other uses (related to our SO's) are there for webcams?

I worked with a guy a few years ago who was a felon. He told me it was so hard to get a job. Well, after missing several days and walking so slowly I thought he'd get stuck to the floor, he ended up being fired.
I was doing some hiring and decided to give a felon (drug issues) an interview for a position that paid around $55K/year. He showed up to the interview looking like a complete druggie, smelling like a complete druggie, and stoned out of his mind like a complete druggie. I elected not to offer him the position. It's too bad too, because on paper, he was the #1 candidate.

Some of these guys are not helping themselves.

And for what it's worth, if it was a financial consideration to cancel your trip then I think you did the right thing. That couple thousand dollars you're saving will be a nice wedding gift for the happy couple.

Because I am self-employed and work alone, it is so much more than just a couple thousand dollars. Just to leave for a week is a loss of well over $3000. Then there is all the other expenses associated with a trip.

The economy is tough now; I am doing fine but not great. Every month it is a struggle to make the $10K needed to pay our expenses.

Completely understand what you're going through. If it's any consolation, I can tell you that when she finally gets here, the time you spent apart will seem like a blip. I know it rings hollow now, but hang in there! As Slim says, take the opportunity to get all your "guy stuff" out of the way now. Keep yourself busy doing the "single" stuff you won't do once she gets here, and also busy yourself preparing for her arrival. smile.gif

I have decided to cancel my trip to Russia planned for the first week of October. We were both really looking forward to the time together and doing a celebration (unofficial) of our wedding in Russia for family and friends. Because of financial concerns, we have decided to postpone the celebration until after the interview and before she comes to America.

This puts me firmly in the camp of having to wait without the joy of a mid-K1 break together. Now, I really feel the pain of having to wait. Yes, I know it will only be another month or so till NOA2, then a couple weeks in New Hampshire then soon we get the interview date then get the papers together then the interview, etc. When we were planning the time together in October, the wait did not seem so bad; now with no time together next month, the wait really sucks!!

Thanks for letting me vent.

I do like some Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Dolly, Johnny Cash and very few others. Jazz is the work of the devil-five guys playing five different instruments to five completely different songs is not jazz, it is noise. I like classic rock, some 60's rock stuff, some recent rock stuff, no metal or acid (except maybe a bit of AC/DC), all types of comedy (ooops, that is not music), once a year some lite rock and sometimes classical. Sheesh, I leave and this is what happens to the Russian forum.

I love all women equally. It's just that I prefer certain women over others. And anything can be sexy.... on the right woman!

Uggs is where I draw the line. *NO* woman looks sexy within 20 feet of those abominations, such is the cone of bogosity emitted by this train wreck of a clothing article. I'm hard pressed to come up with another item of clothing that so clearly defines the term "fashion disaster" as Uggs. They are the devil's galoshes, they make Gestapo jack boots look downright friendly, they are like having mad cow disease on your feet. Every time somebody wears a pair of Uggs, Baby Jesus gets rickets. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that I don't care much for Uggs.

I second this emotion. The RU consulate is really good about accomodating these kinds of requests, and there have been members who have re-scheduled their interview 2 and 3 times, probably more. Get that packet through USCIS, because you really don't want to get stuck in one of their multi-month delay periods that often turns a 6 month wait into a 8-10 month wait. Get through USCIS as quickly as you can, the rest will take care of itself.

It was due to not wanting to muck up the tourist visa app she got. We already thought it would be risky since she's a young, attractive, "single" girl coming over and that a K-1 app might make not help. Of course the stories are changing to the better about fiancees being able to come over on a tourist visa. Believe me, once she's here that damn packet is going in the mail. It's building up dust... 27 days and she's here.
