K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhat is "touched"?
It means that someone did something with your application I would think...doesn't mean anything major has happened, but it's not just sitting there gathering dust.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresJ1 visa a problem?
Even if used for a short period of time, if the J-1 is used in a certain way, the 2 year rule applies. It is VERY clear on the VIsa...big print, hard to confuse. That was, at least, what I heard about it after inquiring about STewart's J-1's...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresJ1 visa a problem?
I know that sucks :( You just have to do all your research for this process. It's strange though. MY husband had five J-1 visas...they immediately sent us an RFE asking for copies of the J-1's...that was the FIRST communication we got from there...to see if there WAS that rule or not..

i can't find proof but I am certain you have to have the certificate for anywhere you lived for six months or more. they specifically asked Stewart this at his interview...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresbeen in Canada for 9 months so do I need police certificate?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI am sad to say....
Wow - if you have doubts THAT big you should think about this seriously. This is MARRIAGE...a huge deal and it's based on trust. This isn't the first post I've seen from you where you have questioned your fiance and his dependability.

Read the post today from...silverbuttlerfly I think...her fiance was also not cooperative or helpful and they called theirs off. I'm not saying to do that but think seriously if this is the man with whom you really want to spend the rest of your life.

You seem to have serious doubts.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiancee visa help....!!!
well didn't we decided it was an automatic denial because of her overstay to begin with? So that is a definite. She needs to file a waiver, but she didn't seem very interested in that.

i do think it's too funny to be real...i mean, right? At this point the ordinary person would say..."Oh, a timeline? That will help answer my question? I'll go do it - THANKS"

so must be fake, right?

Lemme check - nope still no timeline.

Listen, DAisy, in all honestly the age WILL be an issue. Will you be able to convincingly explain to a CO why you are in love with this man?

They will question it. Your original question was "will it be an issue" and the answer is YES!

Instead of writing back to us...

FILL IN YOUR TIMELINE.....FILL IT IN.....FILL IT IN.

I am sure you two have a TON in common. We never said he was a bad person Daisy. Again you are NOT READING THE POSTS.

FILL IN YOUR TIMELINE.

Anyway I wouldn't get defensive about questions regarding your fiance's age. Instead, I'd start working on how you are going to answer the SAME comments when they are made by the interviewing officer. They WILL ask.

25--->64 will be questioned.

Are you going to snap at them angrily as well?

oh and btw: FILL IN YOUR TIMELINE

LMAO grismar...

Could you imagine DATING your dad? My dad is similar! Concerns include: the grass in the front yard, cracking corny jokes, watching sports with my husband, making sure my brother has a job....

I doubt her fiance will get on here...her fiance is my father's age...65.

My dad couldn't get on the internet if you walked him through it. He has his secretary send e-mails because he just can't be bothered to figure out how.

I would bet her fiance has a similar situation?? Not sure. I don't really know because at 25 I really couldn't have envisioned myself with someone my dad's age....

No - for the LAST time - as people have told you about 100 times...we have no estimate. If it was a straightfoward case, maybe but your case is difficult and NO ONE HERE can tell how long it will take.

just wait like the rest of us...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFiancee visa help....!!!
EVer heard the expression "Love is patient"

All you seem to care about is getting the US as FAST AS YOU POSSIBLY can....If you love your fiance...which you should since you want to marry him...then you will wait like the rest of us did...there are HEAPS of people on here who have been denied and have had to wait through waivers, through Administrative Processing, through denials and appeals and months after months...sometimes YEARS of waiting...but people on this site do it because they are in love and will do anything to be with their SO.

So far as I've seen no one decided the wait was too long and called off the process. If your only interest is to get to America...rethink the family migration route....if you truly love your fiance...then you'll wait just like the rest of us.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedurestouched....
Thanks for clearing that up. No one in here knows what it's like to be anxious to return to the States...no one here misses his or her fiancee so telling us that REALLY helps...now we know where you are coming from. That is actually MUCH more helpful than FILLING OUT YOUR BLOODY TIMELINE.

I have seen at LEAST 10 people tell you that is how you can be helped. Filling in your timeline WILL HELP YOU..

You are ignoring what EVERYONE is telling you to do to get help. Do you think that if you just ignore the request it won't matter? if you ask in a different post you'll get a different answer? Do you even READ people's replies??

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresPaper
Yes!!! All of the copies and such we made in Australia were ALL a different size. Our marriage cert, his birth cert, our photocopies, any document produced there..

It was a HUGE pain because the documents from the US consulate were US size :) It was no problem though - they didn't say anything to us though :)

I kinda like the AUstralian size better!@!

Stewart HATED having his pic taken so I totally understand...PLUS when you first start dating someone - you aren't thinking, "Wow I'm going to have to prove this down the line..." you know?

I know I have no advice, but just wanted to say good luck with whatever you choose.

Dean - I, too, am adopted...and I can ASSURE you had I remained with my birth parents my life would have been FAR worse than the charmed life I lead now.

I would love the answer to john and marlene's question.

Is there a reason you think you might be denied? That might be the real questions you should be getting info about.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHelp-Please advise
You don't NEED a lawyer unless you have a tricky, difficult situation or just don't feel confident enough to do it on your own. Most ppl here DONT use a lawyer. You'll hear stories of those that do, with success, those that do, without success....lawyers who are GREAT, lawyers who stink...

Just is a personal desicion....it can be done easily without one...

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWithdrawing I129 petition?
I totally agree.

This process sucks and you have to be patient. You cna't just give up after a month.

There are ppl here that have waited years...just be patient, stick with the system, and it will work for you. Jumping out of line to do it an illegal way (which what you are saying IS...to go to the US with the express intent of marrying...) is a horrible idea.
