I suggest you read the Guides above. Get the forms from USCIS website and read and read the instructions. Read through other posts to see what they did and their questions. Start getting all the information and pictures together. Check this site for how to assemble your package. Ask questions when you have done the above. Good luck on your journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE
No wonder you have a RFE. One of the requirements is that the two of you have met and you have to furnish proof of your meeting. You do not have any proof.

Who May File This Form I-129F.
2. You and your fiancé(e) intend to marry within 90 days of your fiancé(e) entering the United States, and are both free to marry, and have met in person within two years before your filing of this petition unless:
A. The requirement to meet your fiancé(e) in person would violate strict and long-established customs of your or your fiancé(e)'s foreign culture or social practice; or
B. It is established that the requirement to personally meet your fiancé(e) would result in extreme hardship to you.

Unless you fall under B and can prove it with your submission, then you should not have filed in the first place.

You may want to get an immigration attorney for their answer. From what I see, you should not have filed unless you submitted all the proper evidence.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresRFE
I am confused. You filed and received a RFE? You have not met your fiance? (You should read on the instructions about filing fraudulent information. You could already be in big trouble.)

You have filed and want to cancel?

If you have filed and have received a RFE, then the sponsor should write to where you mailed your application requesting cancellation.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresDoes a K-1 Petitioner need to file AR11 if he moves before NOA2?
I would call the 800#
I would write a letter to where I sent my package with a copy of the NOA.
I would have my mail forwarded from the PO

You don't want to miss the mail. It could be a disaster in not responding to a RFE if you get one or any other communications which needs your attention.

After about a month, I would call the 800# again to see if the Service Center had received and recording your change of address.

Good luck on you journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresNew around here...
Getting a visitor's visa can be easy and can be hard. My wife's mother went three times before she got a one year visa. This time she went two times to get a one year visa. My wife's girlfriend has been one time and got denied. There are many who go one time and get approved. I wish I knew the secret. Strong ties to returning home is definitely needed. If someone knows the secret, please share with us. Thanks. Good luck on your journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresShould I change my passport before the interview?
Welcome to VJ,

To get in and out of a country, you need a passport. Sometimes they have the requirement that you need 6 months left on your passport after you return from your trip. You can not travel on you K-1, GC, or AP. The AP and GC will allow you to return to the US after you leave. You have to have a passport.

You should check and see how long it takes to renew your passport and how far in advance they will let you renew it. You should be all right getting to the US on a K-1 visa, but if you need to travel after you get here, you will need AP or GC.

It may or may not be easy to renew your passport in the US. If you go back home to renew it, it may take months. Therefore, you may want to go ahead and renew your passport now if they will let you this far in advance.

There are many documents you need to get together for the interview at the Embassy. You should start now. Read the Guides above and start getting things together. You will need originals for the interview of a lot of things. If you don't have them, your fiancee will have to get them together and mail them to you.

Good luck on your journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresreturn flight
She is still in Russia. Will come to the US in time for marriage in April. Visa received in March and good until September. Is this correct?

After she is here, she can not leave the US until she gets AP or her 2 year Green Card. The visa she now has is good to come to the US within the 6 months. Once here she can not leave without proper documents.

I hope I understood your question. I think that once you are married, you need to apply for Adjustment of Status and Advanced Parole. The AP does not take that long to get. The 2 year GC is another story.

See the Guides above. Good luck on your journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWithdraw K1
I meet and engaged last week How long have you known her? Maybe waiting on the first K-1 to expire may give you more time to get to know her. Why does she want to stop the first K-1? To me, these are red flags. I could be wrong. From what you said, it looked like you just went to see her and got engaged. There is nothing wrong with that, but I think that most have a period of communication, verbally and written before, during, and after you meet.

Good luck on this journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedureshello evryone!!!!!..first time here
Welcome to VJ. You sure are moving fast. You should tell your 1st fiancee to cancel it again. Your 2nd fiancee can file for you now. If you don't show up for the interview for 1st fiancee, it will be canceled. It is better if the papers are not submitted. I don't know what problems you may have with the 2nd petition. It depends on whether the 1st petition is filed or not.

I would think you should wait a while before filing for the 2nd visa. You need to know this person more and make sure this is what you want to do. It seems to me that you are going too fast in finding a mate. You should communicate more both online and over the phone with your new fiancee. Just my opinion.

Good luck.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresLawyers?
Do it yourself. Get the forms. Start filling them out. Ask questions on VJ. Read, read, read the instructions and then fill out the forms. You can do it, most of the ones on VJ have done it themselves.

In your reading, make a list of all the possible documents you will need to submit. When you are about through, post them on VJ for comments.

If you have a unique problem that VJ can't help you with, then you may want an attorney. Otherwise, do it yourself. If you get an attorney, you will still have to get all the information together and tell them what to put in most of the blanks on the forms. You can fill in the forms yourself. You will save time doing it yourself along with saving money.

Good luck on your journey whatever you decide.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresShould I try to write to my congressman
I seriously doubt your representative would do anything. The only reason they get involved, in my opinion, is to help someone with a problem. Line jumping is not a problem. Just be patient like the rest of us have been and it will be over before you know it. There are no short cuts in these procedures, other than filling out the forms correctly and supplying the proper evidence and attachments for approval. Good luck on your journey.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCan't remember ex-wife's birthdate
You can check at work in Human Resources where they have your personnel file. You may have it written on any life or health insurance forms. Maybe even you application for employment. You can also check with your past employers for the information. What about asking her parents, ex-in-laws, friends? Credit Union, old bank accounts, ???
Good Luck on finding it. Otherwise, just put down what you know or say I don't remember. If you are over 39 years old, then they should believe you. :-)

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionmoney order

Bud, you need to be a little more descriptive in what you're asking for. I am assuming you are talking about submitting your ROC (Removal of Conditions) but that is just a guess. No one can search on what you're talking about to try to give you accurate information if we are not sure what you are looking for.

I'm sorry, I figured since I was in the ROC section that people would know what I was talking about, no worries.

Agreed. I know that myself and my spouse would be very unwilling to answer such a question. Aren't there better questions?

We pay thousands of dollars for the immigration process, and you would let questions about intimacy hold you back, I was hoping they asked me, I would have given them every detail.

Interview today was a breeze, I found out the reason they gave me an interview was to expedite my case because of an upcoming deployment. Only sorta bad thing is driving hours for less than a 10 minute interview. The Adjudicator did not say if it was approved or not but hey I am willing to bet we are. One thing she asked me that made me curious was why didn't we send our daughter's original birth certificate with the packet? Anyway, got to go to New Orleans for a little while so not bad.

Actually, because he's military, I just need a copy of his orders which is basically proof why he can't be here so that's good lol

Did you know you can request expedited processing because he is deploying? I mean I know it's Korea, but still considered a deployment.
