Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHow Long Until I Hear From Them...
Try not to worry. It took my wife 10 days to get the NOA and my step-daughter 20 days. VSC is not always consistent. If you don't receive the NOA after 30 days, call the USCIS 800# and ask them about it.

Good luck in this process.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAddress Change for a pending application
I would do all three. I don't think the AR-11 will change your address on your case file. I would do the online AR-11.
Call the 800# and give them the change of address.
Mail a note with a copy of the AR-11 with the confirmation number to the address where you mailed your packet.

This way you will not leave any stone unturned. At least in my opinion.

Good luck and don't forget to change your address with the USPS.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751(Change of Address)
I don't know if you have a case pending or not. Please go to My Assistant above and fill in your Timeline.

Read this: http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD

If you do have a case pending, then: If you are not a U.S. citizen and you have a case pending with USCIS, you will need to do both – call customer service and complete the paper AR-11. Completing an AR-11 does not update your address on any pending case. Also, notifying customer service does not meet the legal requirement of completing an AR-11.

I hope this helps.

If you have any questions after reading the Instructions, ask us.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCongressman? or Senate?
You may want to go to My Assistant above and fill in your Timeline so others can see exactly where you are in the process.

You can call or write either. Just have all the information and numbers ready for them. I don't know about your case number. It should be on your NOA.

A lot of people have waited 11 or 12 months for approval. VSC is very slow now. Writing or calling on your case may or may not help. Others may give you better information.

Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionWhen USCIS forgets to include child in I-751
Did your daughter receive a NOA extending her GC by one year?
Did she have her biometrics done?

We are still waiting, but my wife and my daughter received their NOA and Biometrics at different times. See signature below. Maybe she will get it within the next few weeks.

Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 application interview called after 16 months, desceduled as A-file missing
I am really sorry that this has happened. I would call USCIS every 3 or 4 days and ask them if they have found the file. I would probably call the 800# every day. It is their fault, not yours. Good luck and try and remain calm.

VSC is taking about 12 months to process applications. To me, it just means they are now looking at your case and are requesting more information. You may want to post what you sent so someone may suggest other documents. You may also search on here and see what you find. It seems there is always something else you could have sent. Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionHusband is getting 10 yr greencard
If they told you at your biometric's appointment you would be getting your GC in a few weeks, that is incorrect. Biometrics has nothing to do with the final approval. All they do is take your photo and fingerprints. If you got notification from VSC or CSC, then great. Please let us know.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCSC RFE.
I used the first sample under I-751. http://www.visajourn...p;page=examples

Put full name, address, date of birth, and where they were born. No SSN. I didn't have any problems with this information. They wrote two paragraphs about knowing us, how they met us, when they met us. How great we were as a couple. good.gif Then we got them notarized.

Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCSC RFE.
I do not think an affidavit needs to be notarized. We did have ours notarized. It just proves the person signing it is who they say they are. Just another step. It proves that you did not write them and sign for someone else. Our notaries check the DL of the one signing the document. There has been a lot of discussion about affidavits. Send some, not send any. Notarized or not notarized. Some say two, some say more. We sent five and they were all notarized. I had rather send more than less.

I disagree. Anything is better than nothing. You can get a checking account and/or a savings account. Write a note about why you did not have one before and now you went to another bank. You can get the account(s) tomorrow. The account(s) would at least prove that you are still married and co-mingling your assets.

Read through this section and see what others have submitted. I made a long list and then sent what I had. Pictures, another affidavit or two, life, health insurance, etc.

I know you can do this and overcome the RFE and proceed forward. Good luck.

I am not up on the banking industry today, but I was under the presumption that if you went to the bank and deposited money, they would give you a joint checking or savings account. The only thing I am aware of them checking your credit, is if you tried to get a loan. I would go to another bank with $50 or $100 and open up a joint account. Just my opinion.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionAffidavit question?
To each their own. We sent affadivits and had them notarized. I can't read the USCIS's mind and I don't know what they want. I have waited too long and spent too much money not to include everything I can. I know all the dicussions about notarizing them or not. We did and I am comfortable with that. Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCan my daughter be in my I-751 form? "Verification of Inclusion of a Dependent in Filing of Form I-751" receipt notice can be proof of extention?
My step-daughter was 22 when we filed. She lives in another state. She was on my wife's I-751. She had her biometrics in the other city. It seems it is the same type of situation. I am not sure what she received. She got the one year extension letter like her mother. There should not be any problem with your daughter being included on your submittal. Age should not be a factor if you got arrived at the same time or within 90 days of each other. Ours is close to being approved, I hope. Good luck.

Can the verification notice have the same use for proof of extention, so my daughter can use it to travel, renew her drive license, etc.? I don't know. Did your daughter get a one year extension letter?

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionCan my daughter be in my I-751 form? "Verification of Inclusion of a Dependent in Filing of Form I-751" receipt notice can be proof of extention?
If your daughter came at the same time as you to the US or within 90 days, she can be on your I-751, You only pay for one form and 2 biometrics. This is what we did when we filed in January. Good luck.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionA couple simple questions-please help
We put all children on the form. A lot of people just put the child or children that are having their conditions removed. I don't know the correct answer. The form asks you to put all children and it is not specific otherwise.
The fingerprints will be scheduled after you send in your I-751. They will first send you a NOA for receipt and extending the status by one year. The second letter will be for scheduling the biometrics (fingerprints and picture).
Good luck.

Your case is just like ours. It is in line to be processed. We filed in January and are still waiting. Just relax and wait. I know there are others who have been approved at VSC who filed in January, February, and March. Not all have been processed. Good luck to all of us who are still waiting on VSC. Just think, a few months ago they were taking a year to process these cases.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionDilemma on when to file I-751.
I would file a few days before your trip. You should receive your 1 year extension letter while you are gone and then receive your Biometric appointment letter after you return. If you send it the end of end of August, you may miss your Biometric appointment. Just my thought.

You may send it the end of August and receive your apointment before you go on your trip, but that may be a little risky in case you are gone when it arrives. Your choice. Look at other's Timelines and see how they were scheduled.

Speaking of Timeline: Go to My Assistant at the top of the page and fill in your Timeline.

Good luck on your decision.
