yes, you have to get the booster shots for some of the vaccinations you got such as the hpv, varicella, etc, depending on the time of your filing your aos. some you have to get a month after your first shot. however, you don't have to get them from the civil surgeon. as mentioned, you can get them for free or cheap from government clinics (i got mine from the naval hospital) or from a doctor covered by your husband's insurance.

Practice. Practice. Practice. Follow every rule in the manual and you'll be fine. Also, keep your focus when you're on the road. You don't have to perfect parallel parking since it's rarely done but the minor details are important such as looking at your blind spots and at the back of your car (when you're backing up). I took the road test twice and I kept in mind the mistakes I made during the first try so I aced the 2nd.

For me, it's actually easier to drive the freeway since you're only going forward and changing lanes is the only hard part. There are too many rules to keep in mind in city streets.

my hubby's name is Stephen. he was pinoy until he got naturalized. wink.gif he's turning 25 in november (like odessa and her hubby, we married young too). he is in the navy. he's a little sloppy in his habits but does chores from time to time just because he wants to make me happy. biggrin.gif and like any other guy, he hates coming with me when i go shopping (just 2 seconds in a store and he tells me he's dizzy)!

you can go to a transcript evaluator such as ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators) to check if your education and licenses obtained back in PI equal to a degree here. there are many other evaluators that you can search thru the net. good luck!

i got my driver's license 6 months after i got here and got employed another month later. and yet i didn't get pregnant. so, it doesn't really come naturally.

when i was unemployed and done with the aos stuff, i babysat for friends' kids. i honed (or at least tried to) my cooking skills. i organized our things and the husband's overflowing closet. i do the laundry. applied online (which is much convenient) for job postings i found. i visited fellow pinays who live nearby.

and now that i have a job, all i want to is sleep (after making dinner of course)! so enjoy your free time while you can. try to learn something new. smile.gif

for our pics, i simply used small, thin and plain photo albums where you just slip the photos in slots and put labels over the photos for the dates . i probably had just 24 photos in them.

i didn't make so much fuss over them since i was advised that the interviewers will simply scan through them. i just made sure that the photos were big and clear enough. wink.gif
