Hey come on:)

Look at mine how long it took!!!!

I am kinda jealous here people get approved in 3 months mine took 4 months. And the NVC process was slower than anyone else's I guess. I started my journey on feb 2nd 06'(filing I-130) and got my interview date for January 23rd 07'. Just a few days less than 1 year!!!! Have I ever complained? ...hmmm ..yea i have lol....

Hope you guys will do better than me and get your visas soon.

i am kinda jealous, most people got approved in 2 months especially csc ppl. mine took 4 months. but it was pretty typical back in february, things got faster in summer. but this time nvc slowed down . my nvc stage took 5 months(2 months bc of the missing documents for ds 230) I am expecting my interview date to be available next week someday. when i look back now, i cant really believe it has been 1 year almost.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAbout sending I-129F package..
Thank you very much. We are hoping to get a reply soon. Otherwise we will go on with CR-1 (which we got the NOA-1 on May 15 2007) considering about the timelines for the visas. It is way much better for us to go with CR-1 since i can get the green card without AOS there in US.

One more question: How come people know their case is touched?

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAbout sending I-129F package..
Hello everyone. I have a question:

My wife sent our I-129F package to Nebraska Service Center instead of sending it to Chicago. I called USCIS call center and representative told me to wait that Nebraska office either will forward it to Chicago or will send back to my wife. Rep. didn't know anything about how long it takes to do this.

So this has happened 2 weeks ago. Does anyone have an idea how long do we have to wait before we get something solid going on? Or do we have to apply for the new one? As you all know it is SOOOOOOO irritating to wait.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMarch Filers with NO APPROVAL yet.

I have a quick question for you guys. How come people can be able to know that their case is "touched"?

Thanks

There are many explanations on the forums of how to determine a touch. Simply, when you get your NOA1, you create an account on the USCIS website. Add your case to your online portoflio. When you see that the last update date has changed on your case you know someone somewhere for some reason touched your file and scanned the bar code. The case status does not necessarily change (and thus you don't get an email for it). Thats all a touch is.

I created an account on their web site and added our case to portfolio. I already knew that i can get an idea from their web site but i see some cases were "touched" already and it seemed kind of weird to me since i haven't got any updates yet. Anyways it is all clear now. Thank you.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuestions about I-134 form.
Hi all,

I just got a package from the embassy for the K-3 visa. It says on their instructions page:
QUOTE
For Petitioner: Complete the original Form I-134, Affidavit of
Support and its supplemental documents: W-2 and 1040 tax forms (for the last taxable year), bank and other financial statements and forward it to your relative. (if you are not qualified to sponsor your relative financially, you must find a co-sponsor who can present a Notarized Form I-134 and supplemental documents in addition to your Affidavit of Support. Also you must prepare a statement explaining why you did not pay any taxes to the U.S. Government during the last taxable year).

This is the form that we got so far. http://www.uscis.gov.../form/I-134.pdf

So i got 4 questions:

- The Exp. Date is 04-30-07. Would that possibly be a problem to fill out this form? Or do we need to get an updated one? If so, where? Cause we can't find an updated one.
- About the co-sponsor: We cannot see any additional forms attached to the I-134. Do we need to fill out 2 seperate I-134 forms? (My wife and our co-sponsor)
- My wife got her IRS form. Can we use that as W-2 and 1040 tax return forms?
- Is it strongly recommended to get past 3 years tax returns or the last years is enough?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you guys. It just doesn't make any sense to me since i have seen "first come, first serve" ####### on USCIS's web site. At this point-sadly to say- there is nothing we can do other than waiting. Anyway, I hope you guys get this freakin' visa done sooner than you expected.

The thing is it hasn't been approved yet. And i know a case was approved although it's been sent after ours. I am still on the NOA-2 step.

We got NOA-1 15th May
They got NOA-1 21th May
We are still waiting for NOA-2...
They got NOA-2 on 10th August

So what the heck is "first come first serve" thing?

Hello everyone;

Our I130 has been approved on May 15th and we are still waiting for the NOA-2. I wanted to ask you if there is somethng we can do about since i saw a case has been approved (They got NOA-1 21/05/2007) on August 10th.

I know USCIS says "first come, first serve".. So what should i do right now? Especially a case which has been mailed after ours and got approved 10 th August.

We got soooo mad and wanted to know what we can do about this. Anyone have an idea what might went wrong or?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMedical Exam and Marijuana (Jamaica)
Don't worry weed goes away from metabolism after 2 weeks. But if you wanna make sure he can use a detox for marijuana. It clears your system right away.

But the thing is he needs to drink it with empty stomach and a lot of cranberry juice and 3-4 galoons of water. After peeing the 5th time he should be ok trust me xD

P.S: My friend did it and got an interview for the job. He was still high when they took urine samples. So don't worry.

Hello everyone; I got a question.

When i look at the processing time list on USCIS web site it says I-130 Processing Timeframe is 6 Months. According to the processing time PDF file which has been released on August it says February 12th. What is the difference between giving an exact date and giving Timeframe? What should i get from the "6 Months" thing?

Thanks.

Hello everyone,

I have a question. Before i call NVC I want to know for how long they keep the cases. I had my K-3 on February and I entered country on March but we want to go for CR-1. The thing is that we haven't heard about CR-1. SO that means NVC didn't process our CR-1 case since i had K-3? If not i am wondering if there is any chance that we can go on with CR-1. Cause we don't want to go AOS since it takes a lot of time.

Thanks in advance.

Well to be honest i try not to think about it. Yea this fricken process puts TONS of pressure on both of us. But we are getting this through with patience. It is happening and -damn it- we don't have anything to do.

Just keep that in mind please: "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger." Nietzche

P.S: I'd suggest playing WoW while you are waiting. If you don't have anything to do like me.

After entering the US with a CR-1 visa and leaving the US without the green card in hand, is it possible to enter the US again without significant red tape? Does the situation change even with a green card in hand? we both found good jobs in Turkey and might want to keep them....
I've heard horror stories of people who had to start the process all over again. Anybody have any experience with this?

thanks

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhy it takes so long?
Hi,

Im from turkey and my fiancee is from US, so in july we hired an attorney and applied for the visa.

We had to hire an attorney cuz she works in navy and now shes in deployment so we needed someone to follow processes.

Anyways, So he applied in 15 July, and in 17 July he sent me receipt number. So since 17 July, almost everyday i check my status in here: https://egov.uscis.g...T4iiROD8r7tz_Ts

But still there is no change, it seems they didnt even touch our file yet. It says that:

On July 17, 2010, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

So what do you think? I started to scare..

hey Dayna? are you Turkish-American? or you just studied Turkish for a reason. I have never seen an American(not the ones living/lived in Turkey) who speaks Turkish. my wife is Turkish - American from Turkish parents. thats how she speaks Turkish fluently but I went to the US for school at young age and lived there long I have 2 tongues(Turkish & English) as well. We speak English when with people , not to be rude but we speak Turkish when we need privacy lol you will enjoy this once he learns english too lol
