Cannot issue Interview Letter

Hello to all VJ members

my wife send i-864 and ds230 documents to NVC and after review they found missing of 2010 shedule so they generate request, my wife send them the 2010 shedule and NVC received papers 9-17-2011. today when i called at NVC they said that our case is complete and we still cannot issue interview letter in October, we issue you interview letter in November, i just wanan to confirm is that info given by NVC is wright? and can any body tell me why they cannot issue interview letter in October

Administrative Processing- different color tokens

The actual scenario is when u qualify for visa they nothing give to just CO said that "Congratulates to u u got visa" nothing else but the purple color token is pasted on everyone passport back side, this token is pasted for receiving the passport from Amex nothing else and the other types of token means that u got AP and there's different conditions of AP, so it depend on ur case requirements nothing else

if CO said u got visa it's fine else if u receive any token/paper given by CO its mean u got AP.

Hello Everyone,

Someone told me about this forum helpful for all the individuals who are giong to file petition for spouse to bring him/her to US. Im very happy after joining this greatful forum.

My fiance is US citizen she is about to start filing petition in TX. She is not doing any job as she is of 22 now but yes she is doing business from last year but her income was not as much as required by the Authorities to file a petition. Co-sponsor is the option but i heard that with case with co-sponsor gets weak is this right ?

My second question is that my fiance visited pakistan couple of months ago. we got engaged but we didnt get pictures together on enagagement ceremony as this is not in our culture. but we have the video and pics of the ceremony with the families. Afterwards, she and me got pictures with our families in room together. My question is when this proof of photos are needed ?

Any suggestion and recommendations as we are going to start this process .

AP, case status updated 3 times- what does it mean? (split)

i had a question about AP date updates status /

i have seen alot of people talking about there AP date never updates or when it does it happens in months or so .

I had a interview in islamabad pak. week a go and they tock all my stuff . i asked them if there was somthing wrong with my papers they said no . and they put me on AP . and my AP date has been updated 3 times oready . so what does that mean . are they working on it . or it just updates for nothing ?

In March they ask me to send Fresh Police Report, DS-230, & Medical Report then i have successfully submit the document end of month but still now same reply administrative processing. but some people told your case will take longer because i have remained in Dubai for 3 years

i am in administrative processing from 20 months in Us embassy islamabad always they make same reply i dont say to skip administrative processing but there should be a time limit and there should be some to responsible for the delay.

every i check online case status online many time

every time i cried for my wife & my little child

i get up mid of night when all are sleeping Pray for Allah

this processing destroying me & career

My baby is us born 3 years old

i am deprived both them through this so called processing

hey...I've been reading the posts on this website for a long time. The posts made me worried that the administrative processing was mandatory for young Pakistani male. Just had an interview at Islamabad embassy and my case was approved without the CO giving me any slip...she just congratulated and told me that i would get my visa stamped passport in 7 to 10 days.....so i recommend to whoever is worried getting AP not to lose hope and pray for the good

I'm 28, Male from Islamabad....interview duration was a little over 1 hour....actual interview with CO was just for 5 mins i think....at 9.30 i was driving back home...

Change of First Name

I am kind of new to this topic poll. My question is, how important is it to change your first name? When going through my wedding my name wasn't a Muslim name so the decided to change my name to a Muslim name rather than the name I was born with. Should I change my first name? Or can I keep it the same? How important is your first name, name change when it comes to paperwork?

If your name isn't overly Christian-sounding (like the name Christian, Christina) or it doesn't mean something haram/negative, then I wouldn't worry about officially changing your name. You can just tell your Muslim friends your Islamic name and anyone else you want to call you by that name and they will call you by that name only. There is no need to officially change it and make paperwork more complicated. Why not keep official things straightforward and simple and use your Islamic name in your personal life.

I personally made this decision and I am living in Pakistan right now. Everyone calls me by my Islamic name and many don't even know the name I have for passport and documents. It's just not a big deal. I don't have any regrets for not changing it officially, and I don't plan to do in the future. Its completely up to you.

Any Applicant for IR1/CR1 from Pakistan

Other members have said they received an RFE for the urdu nikah nama with translation, in addition to the NADRA. It may be better to send both things instead of NADRA certificate alone.

Interview questions and documents!!!

One way to prepare for questions would be to read the Islamabad Consulate review page. Many people there have posted the questions they were asked at the interview. Make sure you and your partner are able to easily answer these questions in a clear, concise manner. Ask each other questions in general about each other, events in your lives, relatives, favorite things/habits, etc. Read the questions posted in those reviews and try to guess what the CO may focus on in your case. Think about possible red flags in the relationship and how to answer questions aimed at those areas in order to demonstrate a bonafide marriage. Don't count on having a long time to explain issues, so prepare quick, understandable answers for possible questions. Also, if you get a bad CO and interview doesn't go well, don't waste time arguing (never works) or asking them to look at something. They want you to leave and if you argue they will mention calling security. Instead, be cooperative and try to get specifics on your denial, or about their request for missing items. If it goes bad make sure you can leave fully understanding what happened and what the CO was thinking so you aren't left confused. Arguing just wastes the little time they may give you after they make a decision. You may not even notice they have a problem with something in your case until they say at the end that you are denied or missing something so try to hold back your surprise, frustration, anger, etc and stay calm.

As far as documents, they should have sent you a packet saying what exactly THEY want you to bring, but you should also bring proofs that may help against red flags/issues in your specific case. They may not look at any of those things, but with a good CO he/she will take time to look at those items and discuss them with you. So be prepared. Good luck, I really hope you get a good, fair CO!! Please don't forget to come back and tell us all what happened, update your timeline, and make a review of your interview/questions because it really helps everyone else on this site! Especially since everyone on the Pakistan Portal are desperate to hear about good interviews! Don't forget us if it goes well

hello members

my wife is from USA approx every day i call him on her cell phone from Google voice talk, i have recorded all voice call time, duration and date now my question is if i show my Google voice call history is that enough or i must provide her cell phone (incoming) call history ?
and we have greeting card with respect to every occasion like valentine etc that's OK, what about letters (what type of letters) and also what type of emails (like general) or some special topic ?

im from Pakistan i also call him from my cell phone but in Pakistan u cant get easily get ur cell phone call record (both incoming or outgoing) in this case what should i do?

the last big update was in august........ our case has been @ the embassy since the end of aug... Just looked at a note i keep from calling n on aug 26 we were told we were @ the embassy for review

Diplomatic Shuttle Service Islamabad PK

there are two types of shuttle services going to embassy
1) one is at early morning started at 7'O clock (this service is used by interview applicant's) & charged @ 500 Pakistani rupees
2) the other one is started at 10 am & used by every person which wana to go to embassy & charged @ 200 per person

when u reach there at shuttle service they check ur passport and interview letter and give u slip, which is checked in the bus.
ur mom dad and other persons allowed to go to embassy with applicant person (beneficiary) just by showing there Pakistani ID card

when u reach at embassy only "beneficiary" is allowed to enter into the embassy & US citizen only. ur relative must stay outside the embassy & the environment of consolor office is big lobby with dozen of chairs and mixed visa category persons sit there and at ur back side there is small windows number like 1,2,3,4,5,6 & 7.

ur named called u go there & in front of u there is mic & ur whole whole conversation is done there, just standing there and give answers to Consulor officer. & at the end of interview they tell u whether u qualify or not & that's it
