K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFeb 21 interview..

Just for the record, the CFO seminar is not a requirement for the Embassy interview. It is however needed before you can leave the Philippines. Just take everything that is in the online K1 packet. Here is a link to the review of the US Embassy Manila where a lot of people share their experiences and typical questions asked. Make sure you have all of the financial supporting documents for your petitioners I-134 and make sure it is an original he signed and not a copy. The other supporting documents can be copies. Good Luck.

Yes sir/ma'am, you are correct and it's very well understood.

PhilippinesRacist neighbor ???

Hmm..I think the gauntlet has been thrown. I am watching this topic for the ensuing melle (we need a popcorn emoticon).

Not really, however, I expect the thread to be locked -- that tone is in the air. The folks that don't ride or don't like HDs for whatever reason(s), seem to have a need to make disparaging remarks about the brand. Even some HD owners do the same #######, I have never understood why it matters what a person rides, as long as they ride and ride safely. I would rather encourage more folks to ride instead of propetuating some silly 'my brand of bike is better than 'X' brand.'
LeatherneckMalePhilippines2012-05-25 14:31:00
PhilippinesRacist neighbor ???

I agree some are to the extreme. I ride a Metric cruiser with factory pipes. I got behind a Harley that was so loud it was almost painful. They should be cited for that. No one has the right be that disrespectful of their surrounding fellow man.

Now as for Harleys Why anyone would pay twice as much for half the bike is beyond me. I mean it's their money but dropping an extra 10k for a inferior product, just to try and look cool is absurd. Odd think is they think they are non conformist.

Based on what?
LeatherneckMalePhilippines2012-05-25 13:35:00
PhilippinesRacist neighbor ???

Can you be racist and tolerant? :wow: Yay, logic.

Seems you respect her as much as she respects you. So why the surprised face?

You seems like the type of mother that would let her child run amock in a nice restaurant, disturbing everyone's meals and not undestanding why there is a problem.

And btw, I don't care if a child screams in pleasure or because it is mad, I care that it screams. You didn't even try to make it stop.

It doesn't, it is just fancy to call someone a racist nowadays.

Yes, you can be an ignorant racist, an intolerant fool and a selfish, hateful, negative, miserable individual, sure you can.
LeatherneckMalePhilippines2012-05-25 13:28:00
PhilippinesRacist neighbor ???

I hate people with louds motorcycles/cars, absolutely hate them - they are so loud they wake me up at least 4-5 times a night, and I suffer from insomnia too. They are so loud you actually have to cover your eats. I wish they would all crash into each other and spill their petty useless brains on the sidewalk.

I think you once admitted to being a racist, I'll need to find the thread -- now you reveal yourself as intolerant also.
LeatherneckMalePhilippines2012-05-25 13:05:00
PhilippinesRacist neighbor ???

I personally don't like Harley motorcycles because of the fact that they are too loud (Harley lovers please don't hate me :)) but your neighbor seemed to be angry about anything(motorcycle, baby crying, loud Mexicans). Don't let her get to you, she probably has a miserable life.

I cannot really tell if my neighbors are racist or not. I have only been here for 4 months and I barely go outside the house.

P.S: Your baby is so pretty :)

Hey, hey, hey!!! I ride a Harley, but I take great caution not to disturb the neighbors, I only idle in the garage and throttle very lightly when I leave. I never let my buddies all show up en mass in the early morning, I have them wait for me at the 7-11 nearby, then after coffee we thunder off. :D

I do get your point about the loud pipes -- I don't hate you. I too hate the biker jerks that are inconsiderate, Harley riders or otherwise.

PhilippinesVisa Delivery

Hi everyone,

I had my k1 visa interview last Monday, May 7. My fiance and I was so excited, we booked my flight on May 17. However, my visa hasn't been delivered ever since. I am nervous. I sent an e-mail to US Embassy Manila last May 10 to inquire about my passport and I got a one-sentence reply saying that my visa is still at the post. I checked at to 2Go but the CSR my visa is not yet with them. I tried tracking my visa at 2Go website, typing either my passport or case number, but it both appear to be invalid.

Is there any way I would know for sure when my visa would be delivered? Or at least expedite the delivery of my passport/visa? If ever we're rebooking my flight, what would be an ideal date? My wedding is on the 26th of this month.

Cheers,

Tin

May 7th - May 17 is a mere 10 days from interview to flight without a visa in hand, you left zero room for visa delivery or errors. No one can tell you what an ideal date would be to rebook your flight should you need to do so, you might have to take a good guess at it as you did when you first booked the flight, but maybe more than 10 days would be a good start.

PhilippinesFinances and Such ... Philippines

Really?

Have you heard the term "Come on Vacation, Leave on Probation?"

Not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas (my second child is a good example of that)

Well, I guess some folks do return to their homes with evidence of a weekend in Vegas that you can't get ride of.

The food at Clark County Detention Center -- not to my liking. I prefer the Italian and Japanese food at Rao's or Monta, respectfully.

Oh, the baby thingy -- a box of Trojans... and doubled up, worked for me.

Guess I was lucky, I managed to only come home with less money, a lot less.

We took one cruise, and it will be our last cruise. It's boring, self-indulging, and ya feel like a captive on a ship. Seeing so many fat people just feeding at the trough every day made me sick. I think it was the "Best Hairy Chest" contest on the promenade deck, that put me over the edge. A weekend trip to Vegas,,,,,Now U R talking!

 :star:

Sounds like the cruise from hell! You can't go wrong with a weekend in Vegas.

Thanks Leatherneck...We're really looking forward to it. Vacations the past three years have been road trips throughout the western U.S., so this cruise will be a nice change of pace.

Thanks Hank...Looks like you'll be plenty busy too. The bike trip to Disneyland sounds great and I hope you get some flawless weather for it. Keep the rubber side down! B-)

Chinook and I are planning an August road trip from Seattle to LA via the coast highway, and I'm trying to convince Chinook that Disneyland is a must-see in LA. :)

Yeah...Chinook and I love Vegas too! We stayed at Caesar's Palace last year and enjoyed a Celine Dion concert at Caesars.

Alaska cruises are not exactly party boats, so there mercifully won't be any hairy-chest contests. :o

Chinook and I enjoy photography, and this cruise is all about scenery, wildlife, and historic Alaska-panhandle towns. Glacier Bay National Park is a highlight of the trip.

We also enjoy the slots, so you can bet that we'll be hitting the ship's casino. We plan to enjoy the evening shows, and the music and dancing too. There's also a lot of classes on board that are free to attend.

I doubt that we'll feel like a captive on the ship since there are stops in Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, and Victoria, B.C., and we have shore excursions planned at the first three towns.

You bet Tahoma! A cruise to Alaska is on my bucket list, however, as you know, the Western U.S. is beautiful country. That drive along the CA. coast is one spectacular drive -- the 123 +/- from Monterey, CA. to Morro Bay is breath taking in many areas. Much better scenery than looking at cattle and tumbleweed along the 5 Fwy. Have a great time!

Chinook is from the province. She now works as a registered nurse here in the U.S. She can afford to buy whatever she wants, but she's not really interested in designer items and name brands.

She's usually very thrifty. However, she bought us a seven-day cruise to Alaska. We're leaving tomorrow. Bon voyage! :D

Enjoy the float and all of that great food!

any advice here on VJ friends, so hopefully by month of june or july our NOA2 will arrive.... want to know from here any advice or tips for medical exam........ just stress and pressure about it worried if i take medical exam approved... i know that i dont have any worries but we all know that .. we cant say about it what will happen or result.... its better to have check up here first or what... hope someone will help me ... so anxious about the next2x steps...... a big thnaks....... mabuhay/// god bless us all

There is no advice or tips to give you about the medical -- other than show up and get it done.

From this "just stress and pressure about it worried if i take medical exam approved" to this "i know that i dont have any worries but we all know that .. we cant say about it what will happen or result....

OP, why on earth are you worried, unless you know you have a medical condition that would make you inadmissible. If you're healthy, then stop with the needless worrying, stress and pressure -- relax. You said so yourself "i dont have any worries."

PhilippinesCan We Schedule the Interview without the NVC Letter?

We received our I-797 that shows she's been approved (NO02 was on April 18, 2012). I called earlier this week to see if i could get the case number, and it was given to me and I was told they were going to mail this to Manila soon and that I'd be told when it occurred via email. I've not seen any emails and as you can imagine I'm dying to schedule the interview. Is there a way to schedule the interview now with just the case number and the other info that we have?

My fear is that it will take forever for any mail to reach her small town in the provinces... time seems to be moving in slow motion waiting in agony for a simple letter to arrive.

Thanks.

You have your MNL Case#, you and your fiance can proceed with paying the visa fee at any BPI branch then schedule the interview. Do not wait around for any correspondence period. The ball is in your court now. Pay the visa fee, wait 4-24 hours afterwards to schedule the interview-if it does not work, keep trying every so often, then have your fiancee register online for the medical at St. Luke's. She'll also need to attend the CFO counseling session, either before or after the interview.

Prepare these documents also, http://photos.state....3__rtf2_005.pdf

Good luck!

PhilippinesLooking For a Tutorial

To Mogambi, & sunandmoon, thank you both for your input and your taking the time to point things out to me. Yes, sometimes I can over think things (Natural worry wort ) and I hate having to find out that I did something that I shouldn't have in the first place. I guess I can say is, what I am hoping to do is, try & have most of the paperwork already pre-filled put prior to going over there. Once I am there work with her to get her & the childrens portions filled out correctly so that, as it comes time to file each piece of documents, I will already have it and not have to wait on Mr. Snail - mail to post it to me. I don't know what it costs to send a legal sized letter to her (hacen't done that yet) but I know that it costs right at $75 bucks to send one of those "If it fits, it ships" boxes from the US Post office (their upto 20lb boxes that weighed just under 5lbs) OMG!!

I will begin trying to get everything filled out once I get back home this weekend (I'm out on the road in the big truck now)

Yes Mogambi, I have been reading every detail of everything you sent & yes, it is slowly singing in. Might just be a case of too much information overload, LOL I will give it a few days to try & sink in and hopefully by the time I get home, it will all be clear to me.

sunandmoon, You stated "simply list the children in section B, question 13. that's it. trust me, I've done it" as well as "not difficult at all. if the children are coming at the same time as their mom, very easy. been there, done it. with the initial filing of the I-129f, all that needed is the children be listed, period.
at the interview stage, each child will need a separate visa application and medical. the DS Forms are the same, except the
DS-156k is not needed. since they are under 16, an NBI Clearance is not needed. don't worry, it will be a piece of cake
"

the part of each child will need a seprate visa application, does the mother get that & fill that out over there in Manila? And does each child recieve a DS form or does a DS form have to be filled out & submitted for each child. I'm assuming we are talking about the regular DS-156 form, right?

Thanks

1. Each child will be listed on your 129F Petition -- Part B, #13.

2. Form DS-156K, #5 -- your fiancee will list each child and answer the questions.

"Will Accompany You" -- Yes/No

"Will Follow You" -- Yes/No

3. Form DS-156 -- each child

4. Form DS-157 -- each child

5. Form DS-156K -- only for the mother, not required for each child, however, each child will be listed on her form.

Those DS forms are found Here, to be filled out & submitted by the mother for each child and herself, the instructions are simple. You will have months before the need to deal with the K1/K2 forms, you need an approved I-129F first. Focus first on submitting a completed & thorough I-129F. Follow the K1 guide and you should be problem free.

PhilippinesDivorced american man now married to filipina

I was thinking exactly that same thing. The husband (if he's the type that divulges EVERYTHING to his ex) might have mentioned it and perhaps she's getting a big charge out of it.
You should tell your husband that being a good husband to YOU means being respectful of your feelings. Men that love you and want a lasting relationship don't want to MAKE you jealous. Some men actually get a charge out of this. But if it's wrecking your relationship then he should curb some of his behavior. But you have to curb yours a bit too. It's mutual respect you're going for here.
I agree with Leatherneck about his dinner time behavior was uncalled for. :bonk: I think when he gets the text from his ex he thinks it might be important and that's why he jumps right on it. (That's the ex wife being a control freak). Now what he does next about it..is where the respect for YOU issue comes in. He just needs some proper schooling and he'll be fine

Yeap, I don't normally recommend this -- but if the OP puts the husband in time-out/penalty box, and declares 'no nooky' for about 30 days or as needed, that might get his attention.

I think you are onto something there Gary.... even if she is snacking on tuna... she may be having fun being catty.

Being catty comes natural to some women. The first time the husband informed the ex that the wife was not happy about the unnecessary chatter -- the ex smelled blood in the water.

PhilippinesDivorced american man now married to filipina
Communicating with an ex wife regarding the welfare and care of the children they have together is normal, but texting and talking about things that have nothing to do with their children should cease now that he's married. The dinner situation and the idle chatter is insensitive as well as rude.

However, try to control your jealousy, she is no threat to you, the ex is with another woman, -- she prefers tuna over sausage. Surely she's aware of your jealousy via your husband, she might be purposely getting under your skin, because you allow it.

PhilippinesNVC Visa fee and BPI payment

Good morning!!! i would just like to know if NVC visa fee and BPI payment are the same. . . my husband says NVC visa payment is as good as BPI payment. .. now i am confused . . i need some clarification on these before i go and pay my visa interview at BPI.

Marissa, relax, your husband is correct. You and your son are in the IR-1/IR-2 line. Your visa fees were paid through NVC. You do not need to pay any other visa fee(s).

NVC invoiced your husband, he paid the IV bill online, then you completed the DS-230 online, printed it out signed part 1 and that was part of your IV package.

K-1's pay the visa fee at BPI -- IR-1's pay the visa fee through NVC.

Good luck with your interview.

PhilippinesManny gets the shaft

Bob Arum's TOP RANK promotes both Pacquiao and Bradley. http://www.toprank.com/fighters Bob says, "the judges are incompetent but the judges are honest".

Bob is not a very good actor or liar but he doesn't really need to be. Everyone in the industry knows what happened but there's nothing they can do about it. It's all a show. The fans are the losers here. As a long time boxing fan, I understand it and almost expect it. I'm sure I'll watch Manny fight again if he continues after this. I'm not going to stop watching boxing as many have said.

One thing I wonder is, how many people at Top Rank knew what was going to happen if the fight went to a decision. Did both corners know? :o

I agree -- more money to be made on the rematch. The folks that are shocked don't realize there's the sport of boxing and there's the business of boxing.

I mean really -- how do you beat a guy in boxing by hitting him less than he hit you?

PhilippinesMedical Result...
If you go back and read some threads, there have been beneficiaries that had medical and interview in the same week. As Hank mentioned, they know when the interview is scheduled. Hence, the reason sealed results are given to beneficiary to hand-carry if the interview date is imminent. The medical results will be at USEM, one way or another.
LeatherneckMalePhilippines2012-06-10 19:00:00
PhilippinesOnce visa is approved in Manila how long before you can pick it up
The visa packet will be delivered to the address the beneficiary provided the day of the interview.

How long is an unknown, it took two weeks before my wife got her visa, other have gotten theirs in a week, some took a month and some took as little as 3 days.

What did you setup for picking up your visa from 2GO? When you complete your interview and go to window 72 they will confirm where you want the visa/passport delivered or picked up, but you would pick it up at a 2GO office if you wanted to pick it up, otherwise they will deliver it to your home.

PhilippinesAffidavit of Consent to Travel Abroad

Thanks so much! My annulment decision ddnt mention about my child's custody to my dismay, I dont get it why the Judge ddnt consider the fact that his father abandoned him shortly after his birth, over a decade now to grant the custody, legal and all parental authority as his sole parent providing him all that a child need from their parents.
So what I did, I get intouched with his biological father last yr, while my annulment case was still on processed, he signed his voluntary termination of parental rights and notarized it, i thought at first it wil be enough for me to bring my son to the US oneday, but after reading other sad stories here by other vj members, after their US visa interview and ddnt get the child's K2 visa, it worried me. Thinking maybe better to still obtain a Travel consent Affidavit from his bio dad, which I did few days ago, get to talked to the father and he agreed on signing it allowing my son to permanently immigrate with me to the US..as I said above comment, with prayers everything will work out fine, so now Iam happy, thanks so much for taking time replying to my query, best of luck to all of us! God bless!!!!

Those other cases could've had issues not related or similar to your K1/K2 case. The consular officers have seen many annulments, and that is what you need as the custodial parent to secure a K2 visa for your child. Don't over think the process or complicate it, you'll be fine with the annulment docs.
LeatherneckMalePhilippines2012-06-12 09:14:00
PhilippinesAffidavit of Consent to Travel Abroad
Your annulment will be sufficient for your son to secure a K2 to immigrate to the U.S. I would think if your annulment grants you the sole physical and legal custody of your child -- you don't need any signature from the father.

Your son is not subject to any ongoing custody battle and his parents do not have any martial conflict -- as evidenced by your annulment. Your son is not on the BOI watchlist and he will be traveling with his parent. Read your annulment document(s) to know what the court granted you in terms of physical and legal custody.

PhilippinesIs NVC letter necessary when doing Medical at St. Lukes?
What letter from NVC letter showing the MNL#? Do you mean the NOA2? The NOA2, nor is anything else from NVC necessary for your fiancee to proceed to SLMCEC for the medical. Once she pays the visa fee at any BPI branch, then after scheduling the interview online, she will print the confirmation and take that with her to SLMCEC.

PhilippinesWhen will my Fiancee receive the original document with the MNL case#?

Yes you were to print confirmation of interview and print confirmation when pre- register for St. Lukes. Dont wait for packet

Agreed, waiting for those instructions from USEM is time consuming, usually they arrive after the beneficiary has completed
the interview/medical/CFO portion of the process and many times after the beneficiary has arrived in the U.S.
LeatherneckMalePhilippines2012-09-03 16:44:00

So we went to the St. Lukes Clinic. (we do have the MNL case# courtesy of NVC)but they require the original letter containing the MNL case#. When will my fiancee receive the letter/packet from US Embassy?

When you scheduled your interview you should've gotten confirmation, a copy of that confirmation will get you into SLMCEC. Unless what you stated is a new SLMCEC policy, an original letter, which I assume you mean the NOA2 from NVC was not required in the past.
