IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresShe arrives on Saturday

Thanks Leatherneck from one serviceman to another and also mounir412! Also beejay thank you sooo much for your knowledge! Ya I called American Airlines and they said the same thing you told me, her luggage will transferred for her all the way to Chicago and then after she goes through immigration in Chicago they said she will need to collect her baggage and then someone will be there to collect it again to put it on her next flight and then she takes the tram to terminal 3 and go through security again. Also I will tell her to try and get all 3 boarding passes in Manila, that would make things a lot easier. Thanks again everybody! :D

You bet bahaynamin!

It's probably a little late now, but that's a great suggestion by bogdog. If you have the spare cash, meeting her in ORD then flying home with together would make her day.

I even learned from beejay's post, that's very helpful knowledge.

Since the K-1 was denied a year ago, did you get a NOIR from USCIS?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Proceduresaugust NOA1
What are your options if you're tired of waiting? Find something to keep you busy rather than focus on the NOA2, you'll get it when USCIS is finished. No two cases are the same, some get the NOA2 sooner than expected and for others, they might be 5 months+ at USCIC.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures2nd Immigrant Visa?? Possible or Not

I am an expert on this subject sad to say. Anyway yes you can bring another AFTER you divorce the current wife. After the divorce send USCIS and NVC a letter stating that the marriage ended in divorce and you will not be filing to remove the conditional status of her greencard and you wish to withdraw your petition for her. Include a copy of the divorce decree with the letter. Then your good to go. Now also, regarding a K-1 visa, your allowed 1 within a 2 year period. If its less then 2 years since you last applied for and was approved on a K-1 visa, then you need to ask USCIS for a waiver (permission to file for another K-1 so soon). I did 1 on a K-1, she went back after 2 months and we never married. The next one I married in Philippines but after she got here she went crazy lol and she took off on me, we ended up getting divorced.

Talk about a string of bad luck. It is situations like you (twice) have encountered, that should cause one to choose wisely, look for red flags and think looooooooooog and hard about his potential mate.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures2nd Immigrant Visa?? Possible or Not
If you file for another K-1 petition within two years of the approval of your last petition, you will need to request a waiver.

Your wife has been here less than 6 months and she is so depressed and home sick she needs to return home?
We don't have all of the details and we only have one side of the story,

Did you do all you could to help ease the feelings of being home sick?

What steps did you take to deal with her depression?

Did you seek out Filipino social organizations in your area?

Did you try to find other Filipinos/Filipinas in your area for her to make friends with?

Is there an Asian market in your area where she could possibly find food she is familiar with?

Was the Filipino channel (s) available in your area?

Did she attend mass where she might meet other Filipinos/Filipinas?

Did you try to set up meeting with the priest so he could counsel both of you?

How old is your wife? Could her level of maturity be an issue? I would think a mature woman would have known that getting married means
she was taking a very serious step and the vows should not be taken lightly and she would be away from her family for extended periods of time.

I can understand being home sick, but to end a marriage for that and a dose of depression!

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures2hourand 30 minute in atlanta airport ?
Well OP, experienced travlers here tired to give you a heads up about leaving enough time between connections.
I think you are probably like most people, you don't figure your trip can start off with a delay at the departure airport,
encounter bad weather than can cause a inflight delay or when arriving at the worlds busiest airport having to find
your way around.

Yes, just as another comment was made, there have been instances where no gates are available. How can that be since
Atlanta has 6 concourses and 225 gates? It happens, not often but it does. Once during the holiday season, I arrived
in Atlanta with 15 other international flights, some pulling up to the gates, others waiting for gates, we waited an hour for a gate.
The worst part was the zoo inside and the wait for the immigration process.

Maybe you'll make your connection, with all the effort it will take to clear customs/immigration, travel to the ticket counter to
re-check your luggage, clear security again, then travel to the new departure gate. Atlanta is easy, but your first time there
can cause some confusion. Missing your flight won't be an issue, unless you missed the last flight of the evening.
LeatherneckMalePhilippines2011-12-18 13:39:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures2hourand 30 minute in atlanta airport ?

Atlanta is a BIG and BUSY airport, and it will likely be very busy during the holiday season. I would consider two hours as a bare MINIMUM for a simple domestic connecting flight, due to the real possibilities of one flight being late, the next flight maybe early, technical difficulties, luggage transfer, bad weather conditions, etc. Throw into the "normal" busy travel season that you are doing POE processing (and there will likely be others being processed like yourself)..... you should seriously consider allowing yourself more time... at last double your estimate, maybe more... What is your alternative plan if your proposed 2 hour allotted time takes longer, and you miss your connecting flight????

Good luck,
Happy holidays,

The B of A&B

Well said!

That week will be very busy. Click here, I ran the wait times for the past 10 days at ATL for you, however, the times will vary as you will arrive a few days before Christmas.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresMarried in the USA,had baby and had to leave before applying to GC
Students that fall out of status for reasons beyond their control may be eligible to apply for a reinstatement of status.

Contact your school admin to get your updated status in the SEVIS database, you need to know what the school has reported to USCIS
about your status well before you spend money and get on that plane in an attempt to use your F1 visa.

You made a rash decision without thinking about all of the issues involved and ran back to Brazil. Now that you have had time to calm down, you what to rush back to the US. Again, you haven't thought out this process. You keep leaving out the main fiqure out of the onversation, the USC.

hi vj'ers

its me again!

i would like to ask a question from you please! how long does the nvc notified you that the case was completed upon sending your IVpackage? im just worried with my case cos they already receive all my docs on monday but still no update with them til now. :help:

thanks so much!

Why ..."worried?" it was just Monday.

Worrying leads to stress, stress leads to bad health. You do want to be in good health when you finally arrive in the U.S. I'm sure your husband wants you in the best of health when you get here.

Relax, they'll update your file....calling them :) You're almost done.

2. When did you file the petition?

3. Why does your case warrant an expedite?

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresDS-3032 from Wife

Okay, yesterday was my NOA2.

Today I couldn't call NVC because they're having a power outage.

My next step is to get DS-3032 email format sent from my wife's (The alien relative) email address.

Problem is, my wife doesn't have internet and isn't in a town that has internet.

Can I just send the DS-3032 for an e-mail account made on her behalf, as if she created it?

Sure, why not -- sometimes a situation calls for one to be creative.
