what is the best handgun and shotgun in america?
just for self defense and the gun is likely stay in-home.

There really is no "best,' buy the best quality weapon you can afford, at a reasonable price and what you're comfortable with.

For a handgun, all of the above applies and it should to fit your shooting hand comfortably. By all means, get a caliber that will get the job
done should you ever need to take care of business, my preference is .45 caliber, no offense to the 9mm crowd.

Glock makes a great product and has a very large and loyal crowd, but your choice of manufacturers is wide. Take a look at SiG,
Walther and Springfield (the Springfield XD) which is a good rival to Glock.

A shotgun doesn't need to be an expensive model/brand for home use, you want function, quality but whats practical. In 12 or
20 gauge, I think most guys would opt for the 12 ga. as would I. Get the shortest barrel and overall length possible, with the heaviest
3" magnum buckshot you can find.

Russia, Ukraine and Belaruswhat is the best handgun and shotgun in america?

As everyone else said before, there is no best gun. I suggest going to a gun shop that has a gun range where you can test fire multiple guns. I have and it makes a difference on which gun you may ultimately choose/purchase. If it is legal in your area, get hollow point bullets for your handgun (I took a handgun safety class and that is what my instructor recommended).

And not just any hollow points - good quality like:

1. Winchester Law Enforcement Ammunition "Ranger T-Series"

2. Federal Premium Law Enforcement "HST"

If those two are good enough for the FBI and police departments around the country - then its it good enough for me.

The only problem with those two brands, they are hard to find, but I was lucky to find both on http://www.cheaperth...om/Default.aspx

2. Can my fiancee follow me through the US citizen side during the POE since im a citizen or we have to go through seperate?

1. Yes, the packet is normal.

2. Yes your fiancee can stay with you in the U.S. citizen line.

Before or after your interview at USEM, you'll need to attend a CFO seminar, you'll need attend that seminar and get that sticker before you can exit the country. Here is the link to the CFO website, note the documents required to attend.

Not necessary. It is not important as to if you gave birth by cesarean or otherwise. The purpose of the medical is to screen for communicable diseases.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)PAYMENT QUESTIONS

Thanks for the info. My wife is living with me here in Japan. So we will be doing on Medical in Tokyo (her appointment is on Wednesday).

What is an IIN Number?

Thats good the price will be doing down on April 13. Great news!

There are not any fees to be paid on the actual interview day?

Thanks again!

IIN = Invoice Identification Number.

There are no fees to be paid on the day of the interview - you paid all fees through NVC - except for the cost of the medical.

How can your wife be at the medical stage if you don't know the meaning of IIN? You needed the IIN# and the case # to pay the fees online or did you pay the AOS and IV fees via mail?

Maybe your wife wouldn't mind if you gave her an extra $500.00 for imaginary fees - then she could head over to Ginza for a little shopping after the interview. :)

The link to the IV fee and AOS fee. A link to a thread you might find informative, especially the first two post.

Presently the IV fee (Immigrant Visa) is $404 (330 + 74 security surcharge = $404) - but as of April 13 the fee will be reduced to $230.
AOS fee (Affidavit of Support) is $88.00.

Keep calling NVC to get your case # and IIN #. All fees will be paid before your case is complete and forwarded to USEM from NVC.

Don't forget the fee for the medical, to be paid the day of the medical at St. Luke's, $213.35 = adults & $185.35 = children.

the problem with using a lawyer is that you do things the way they tell you to do it so if they say you wait then you wait. you really have a choice... you either do things the way your lawyer tells you or you go it alone and get rid of your lawyer

Your lawyer needs to feel needed. He is not familiar with the 'go-around' and "getter-done" method.

National Visa Center (Dept of State)PAYING THE IV?

VJ

So I confirmed with the NVC that my DS 3032 was accepted.

They said over the phone everything is up to date.

When will I be able to pay the IV payment? I logged into the payment portal and it shows were I paid the $88 for the AOS and then below for the IV section it has no box I can select, no amount of how much it will be and my wifes name is no longer there.

Anyone know what is going on with that? I thought after your DS 3032 got accepted you could pay the IV?

We requested an expedite and request the interview be changed from Manila to Tokyo.

Thanks for the help!

It takes a few days for the IV fee to be invoiced after the DS-3032 has been accepted. Did you send your AOS package yet? Are you the service member who's wife is pregnant and you want to get things wrapped up before you deploy or something like that?

National Visa Center (Dept of State)if the NVC send a packet or letter of instructions to the petitioner

Hi everyone again. I just want to know if the NVC will going to send a packet or letter of instructions (including form I-864EZ) after paying the AOS bill? It's been a months since my husband paid the AOS, unluckily no letter yet from them. Or maybe after he pay the other bill which is the IV fee? I really don't have an idea about this, he asked me to read some of this part then we will talk when he got home from work, if he can do something. I read about the AOS processing and the form he need is the I864ez and I also browse the IR site, he need W-2 form? Please help to get this through guys. Thanks in advance :)

National Visa Center (Dept of State)NVC???

Hello,

I know there's been loads of questions on the NVC stage and I've seen the latest NVC process on here, buts there's some parts I'm not clear about.

So I'm finally at the NVC stage. My husband just paid the AOS fee and it states paid online. What happens next? We haven't received any instructions on what to do next. Will he receive any instructions? My husband seems to think the NVC will mail him some info, but I'm not convinced. Also when is it best for me to apply for my police certificate, do I need to do it at this stage or at the interview stage?

Thank you.

You don't need to wait for any instructions from NVC to proceed.  Assemble the AOS package (I-864 with supporting documents) and get in the mail to NVC. Make sure to send the bar-coded cover sheet with the AOS package.

The police certificate gets submitted with the IV package -- which will be the next step in the process.

At this stage you and your husband contribute to how fast you get through NVC based on how quickly you submit documents.

This should help to make the steps a little clearer.

Is it just me or did everyone wait this long?

My case and invoice number were issued on 06/20, but our DS261 still showing "not eligible for processing" and AOS says "NOT INVOICED".

The agent who provided me the numbers told me it will take a week. It's been more than a week.

How long did you have to wait after receiving your numbers?

I've seen some people who did theirs on the same day.

Your experience is not outside of the norm, but rather typical.

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresSpousal Visa Current Processing Time

You are correct, but it is only administratively closed if the I-129F and I-130 are approved by USCIS at the same time and sent to the NVC together. If the I-129F arrives at the NVC on it's own...then a K3 is issued.

What will NVC do with an approved I-129F in the case of a spouse?

Considering k-3's are no longer issued, they will have to kill that I-129F

and process the I-130 so the beneficiary can apply for a IR-1/CR-1 visa.
LeatherneckMalePhilippines2012-01-25 04:03:00
K-3 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresSpousal Visa Current Processing Time
I will correct myself, I went back and read again what I posted and I don't think I was very clear as to the point I wanted to make.

The I-129F will be administratively closed at NVC, (after having been approved at USCIS) and no further action will be taken with regards to that petition. The I-130 will then be processed for the purpose of issuing of a IR-1/CR-1, because there is no K-3 visa being issued.

Now, I hope I stated my point a lot better than my previous post.

Thank you very much for the help! I appreciated all your advises. I just hope that we will hear something very soon..Sooner the better.
God bless you all!

Click here for the link to the IR1/CR1 forum, there you will find other spouses
that are waiting and you can learn from them also.

Thank you and may God bless you and your husband during this process.

Also spend some time learning the process and educating yourself about what
you will need to do and provide with regards to other documents later in the process.

When you are better informed you will have less anxiety and stress about the process.

As Leatherneck stated in his earlier post. They cancel you 1-129f petition and process your I-130 petition. Whom ever told your husband that was wrong and he has waste money on the I-129F petition fee ($350).

The US Government is a a entity that does not care nor will sympathize with you and your husband. Unless of extreme needs or severe case they will expedite a case. Sorry to say your husbands PTSD is not a extreme case in the governments eyes. When you start to read through many of the VJ posting and story you will see we all worried, stress and yearned to be with our loved one. Wondering if and when they will approve our petitions. The facts remain that there is nothing you can do at this point to speed up the process. This is the Visa process. The website name best describes it Visa Journey because that's what the process is a Journey.

I wish there was a quicker way or fast method of processing petitions but there isn't one.

God Bless you and your husband!!

i just hope the US government understand that it aint easy to live without your better half.. specially now my hubby need me during this tough times..

OP, the best advice I can give you is to be very patient in this process. There is no way around the waiting,
you have to understand, there are 1,000's of petitions ahead of your petition.

I have not looked at the current approval times with regards to spousal visa (CR1) approvals, but
I can safely say that a 8/8 1/2 - 9 month wait is rather the norm.

thank you so much!!! yah my husband filed 2 visas.. kinda freak me out cause the immigration person in USA asked him to do so.. that's kinda strange though..

Ok, I think what your husband did was to submit both an I-130 and a I-129 petition, he
did not file for 2 separate visas at once...that is not possible.

I have to assume he was told to file both petitions (at the same time) for the purpose of a K-3 visa.

What will happen is the I-129 will be administratively closed at USCIS and the I-130 will be processed
and you will immigrate on a CR1 visa.
