Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionA question for Yurika & Jim

Hi Yurika - sorry to bother you...I have been depressed recently about my case. I'm a 2012 March filer (vermont) and my case is still in pending status currently - no approval letter even no RFE notification. Contacted uscis a few days ago and they confirmed they are still working on my case. As you can see, almost half of April filers have been approved already in this forum. I don't know what's going on with my case!!! Honestly, I would rather receive RFE or interview notification, at least indicating my case is making progress!! I just want to ask if you have seen similar situations before...I am just sooooooooo frustrated right now - an unexpected bad beginning for the new year....sigh....

Hi,

I know this question was not for me ,but i hope you dont mind me asking why are you depressed about that? From what i know vermont centre is the slowest of all service centres. I applied in the middle of september 2012 for ROC in the california centre which i beleive is one of the fastest. After my biometrics on november the 1st of last year, nothing has happened for me,its almost 6 mnths since i applied and from what i heard apparently CSC is still processing June 2012 applicants,so imagine my plight!! so chill my friend.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionNewest Report: California Processing Time

I applied to remove my condition on my green card last August, and according to the website, it said that my case has just got approved on March 22....now I just cross my finger and wonder if that was the glitch from the system or not...anyway, there is nothing we can do now, just wait till tomorrow when everything is supposed to be back to normal for business day.

HI,

Did you get your roc approved? because i applied on sept 24 th and my biometrics was on 11/1/2012 and probably yours was atleast a month before mine. Please let me know so i know there is light at the end of the tunnel or whatever we are in!!

Regards

What you recieved is an extension letter which every applicant recieved. Now your process of ROC has begun ,so it will roughly be only another 6 months or so.....

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionPreparing RFE Response

No. I would not send anything you already did. I think they specifically ask you not to do so.

Just include more statements. I would mail them 1 or 2 years worth of bank statements, 1-2 years of bills and whatever else you can include. I got an RFE and I submitted an inch or two worth of documents and they accepted it. I had sent only 2 -3 bills. For the RFE, I included documents that covered the whole period of the marriage.

You will be fine smile.png

Hi,

So after submitting your rfe how long did it take for you to get your 10yr gc? or are you still waiting? am preparing my rfe too.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionI-751 October 2012 filers

Hi everyone!

Being that it's almost October, I thought I would get the ball rolling on this topic. I am the USC, my husband is a UK citizen, and our window to file for ROC opens on October 13th. We're gathering docs now, and we plan to send everything off the day the filing window opens.

So, who else is planning to file in October? How is it going putting together your stuff?

Should anyone like to use it, here is a calculator I found floating around in other threads: http://www.uscis.gov...Calculator.html
Just enter the date your green card expires, and it will tell you the day your filing window opens.

Hi,

So from what i read about your paperwork, your biometrics was taken exactly 8 days after mine was taken. So in theory i should get it before you if things go fine. So from my side i am expecting to get it by begining of may 2013(10 yr gc). Lets see how it goes.

God bless

At the end of the October, we have filed I-751 form and it took already almost 5 months. When do you think the wait will end?

Hi,

I think you are looking at another 3 mnths minimum, i had applied middle of september and after biometrics nothing yet.
Good luck.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to know anybody who applied for ROC in the beginning of sept 2012 and what is their current position. I applied around the middle of sept 2012 but after the biometrics which was on november 1st so far nothing has happend. I know its taking a bit longer than usual but its 6 mnths now. On their website they say the average time for california service centre is 6.9 mnths. Would like any feedback. Have a great day guys.

Thank you

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionk1 and Divorced in US

How about this situation guys....

Both of them were married here in the phils. and now living in US ang both are also US citizens. But after 6yrs they got divorced.
One of them wants to petition her fiance in the phils. under k1 petition, should the petitioner(US citizen)file for annulment here in the phils since hes already a US citizen and filing for k1 petition?

He is a USC, so he can file for a divorce here in the USA. One can get a divorce anywhere as long as the country where it is filed allows divorce.

Hope that helps.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionSSN for a Child... USEM Manila

my daughter is a u.s. citizen, she 7 months old... i have to go back in united states with her ssn so she can get covered by my husbands health insurance. i am now currently applying for adjustment of status... god bless

Why not just have your husband call the insurance company to see if he can just submit the birth certicate of the baby to get
the baby covered? Many insurance companies understand babies do not have a SSN immediately, many will take the birth-cert
as proof as long as he is listed as the father. Just call them to see if they will add the baby now, and tell them you will submit the SSN
as soon as you get it. Once you apply for the SSN for the baby, it will only take a couple of weeks to get
it, so why not just apply when you return to the USA?

Or your husband can take the babies birth certificate down to the local SS office to apply for the card.
