Philippinesnumber of visas issued

I remember sometime ago someone asked about number of immigrant visas that the MNL embassy processes. I just read a DOS report that says the MNL embassy issued over 34000 visas for 2013. That's roughly ~130/day (wow!). The number of applicants the see everyday would be higher since they only count issuances and I didn't account for holidays and closures.

FWIW, MNL is number 2 (or 3) on the list for 2013. Some embassy in Mexico issued over 60k visas.

That would be Ciudad Juarez, just across the river from El Paso. TX.

Consider the other types of visas processed, and 149,300 total visas makes MNL one busy place.

And folks wonder why AP takes so long.  Best to slow down and get it right the first time.

PhilippinesDenied Need help

thanks lesson learn.  I done research as much as I can and didn't catch that.  in 2012 my unemployed uncle did the same thing and he had no issues using a co sponsor.  My other options would to go back to Philippines marry my fiancé apply for cr1.  Come back home work and wait another year for my w2 forms least making 15k in 1 year.

As already mentioned, Manila accepts a joint sponsor on a case-by-case basis for K-1s. You could get married then the Embassy would have to accept a joint sponsor.

Now would be an idea time to pursue a CR-1 if you need a joint sponsor, the approvals for Philippines cases are done rather quickly because of Typhoon Yolanda.

Wife is already in the USA, this petition is for his step-son, which is why all the confusion regarding wanting an I-864 from the wife.

Now that makes sense.

In addition to gathering the missing items per the checklist, a call to NVC to resolve the AOS issue wouldn't hurt.

PhilippinesTravel Plans
Usually the easiest and best route from Philippines into United States is a flight with no lay overs. Philippine airlines would be your best bet. From Manila to SFO. I know it's a little more expensive, but at least you wont get stuck in Narita. ;)

Hershey's cheap?? When I think of American chocolate I think of Hershey's. If I send or bring chocolate it will be Hershey's and Hershey's only. Hershey's is delicious.

Now excuse me while I check to see how my Hershey's stock is doing. ;) Seriously though, Hershey's only for chocolate.

Never buy Hershey's candy cause they think you're cheap? Please tell me you're kidding?! I've sent Hersey's kisses, Hershey's assorted chocolates before, and I've never been called cheap! Then again.... I probably wouldn't know it if her family called me cheap anyways. Damn language barrier!!

PhilippinesSchedule Interview

wo0ow everything is in here.. now my only prob is that the BPI gave me my payment receipt but it doesn't consist of receipt no. huhuhuh.. I didn't fill out any forms in the bank it was all electronic. It just asked me with the VISA TYPE , PASSPORT NO. then went to the teller and she processed everything and then gave me the Receipt.. but it didn't contain my receipt no. huhuhu... if i will schedule interview can i also change the appointment date?

Then use your passport number if you use the visa interview schedule portal to set up your interview. By all means, save that receipt -- you'll need it the day of your interview.

1. Your lovely Rose may attend the CFO counseling prior to USEM getting the file.

2. Picking up the visa at USEM is not an option.

Done deal. I am going tomorrow. Wish me luck! :-D

Good deal, you really need to get rolling and get that AP approved. You still need to time to allow for the purchase of your ticket without having to sell your house to afford it on short notice.

Good luck tomorrow!

Ok I will do that now. Do I select the following?

1. You need Service on a case that has already been filed
2. Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

Do I have to go to the appointment with my husband?

Select #1.

You don't "have" to go with your husband -- AP is for your benefit.

Yes I have received the NOA for AP. Do you think I should wait within the week and see if the document I faxed will suffice? Should that be approved, do you have any idea how long till I receive the AP travel document?

Or take no chances and just go for Infopass? I'm afraid they might not like that I am being redundant in this request and cancel everything instead.

NO...if you have the NOA for the AP, call your local USCIS office and schedule an appointment. The problem with waiting -- you really do not have the time to waste. You're inside of 30 days of your children's visas expiring.

I personally would work the InfoPass option, since that can be approved on the spot.

I have not scheduled for infopass yet. AOS was received last January 31, 2012. Yes I have received NOA for AOS and have done my biometrics and have also received the notice about my case being transferred and currently processed.

But do you have a NOA for the I-131 you filed?

You have less than 30 days, you should work the InfoPass option -- they can approve you on the spot.

Then you need to be on top of this daily -- I would focus on the InfoPass.

Be sure if you go with the option of having someone other than your husband accompaning the children from the Philippines, make sure you give them written (notarized) authorization to do so to avoid any hassles on both ends of immigration...just to cover the legal stuff.

You might want to research what documents will be required by DFA or immigration on that end so the children will be allowed to exit without hassle/delay.

For someone to bring your children to you, like Hawaii, so you are not exiting the US -- that person will need a B1/B2 visa to enter the US or some other visa.

The thing is, I was talking to a higher agent. I was transferred through to her because the first agent could not answer my question. I hope I am on the right path. :-(

I'm sorry but I did not understand the comment. Were you meaning to type something more?

Sorry, my laptop was flipping out. My original comments are closed.

1. You got bad info from that person -- your children are able to enter with their K-2 visas.

2. Your kids already have visas, why the need to file I-130s? Do your children already have visas in their passports or do they still need to have visas issued by USEM?

3. Can a family member bring the children to you? Can someone travel with your children and meet you in Hawaii?

When it came to evil and vicious I thought she had the market cornered.

I'll bet your ex didn't have your utilities turned off on a Saturday morning when she knew you'd be at work and away from home for more than 16 hours. Imagine the ruined food due to no utilities until Monday morning. Now that is evil!

Thanks for the reply Leatherneck; my father was a marine during the Korean war. The wife and I are concerned because the interviewer asked her personal questions regarding my ex wife, who is your typical bitter, jealous and very evil ex and decided to email the manila fraud unit a bunch of garbage about my wife's supposed occupation, character, etc.

I have the utmost respect for the Marines, soldiers, sailors and airmen that served in that awesome war. Most folks have no idea of the sheer craziness of what happened at, and the escape from the Chosin reservior.

Trust me, I understand how vindictive an ex can be. As soon as they are satisfied with the documents requested -- your wife will get her visa. I can assure you, that call from your ex-wife was not the first they've received -- they too understand what vindictive ex-wives are capable of. You and your wife will get through this with a visa in hand.

Id like to her from others, please share your thoughts and experiences in this area if you can, , thank you so much.

Real simple, as soon as they get around to reviewing the CENOMAR -- a consular officer will approve the visa. Most likely you will not hear one word from USEM -- 2Go will just show up at her door with the visa.

I need some tips guys. Anybody here from Philippines? I am already here in U.S.A. I need to know if i need to send any papers or what to Philippines that am already arrived here in U.S.My visa is K1. Thank you.

There's no "need" to send anything to the Philippines regarding your arrival. You can report your marriage to NSO through the Philppine Embassy with jurisdiction for the area where you live, if you want to and when you're ready to do so.
