thanks so much for the greeting! sarap noh? no school when we were young! hahaha .. hay naku talaga... i try not to think about it but just seeing that US embassy is sending out this letter and my fiance not having to receive any notification of the sort just makes me all the more paranoid... it sucks being helpless i guess...

living to fight another day of uncertainty... SCRAPS!

it was good then, bad for a couple of years, its time for it to go back to being a good date....

extensions are 5184 or 5185. the voice recording prompts you to press a number i think it's 7 if you know your party's extension. just do that and enter 5184 or 5185 then #.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionVaccinations
i think the better question would be , aside from MMR (mumps, measels, rubella) that they administer in St lukes, for those who have been thru aos, what other vaccinations will the fiance from manila need? or what other vaccines does st lukes offer?

ive read in post in some other site that they also administer the TD (tetanus diptheria)

if you already had chickenpox (make sure you have the scar to prove it) then varicella shot is not administered

so the rest that are needed to be taken are the ff:

pertussis ( whopping cough) - usually is administered in children (maybe your fiance already had this when they were young)

Polio (again i think this vaccine is administered at birth

pneumoccal

hepatitis -B

Influenza (flu shot) - i heard this shot is quite expensive but i dont know if it is readily available in manila. there are flu shots that you can get here at ralphs or your local walgreens for about 25 dollars. if it is more expensive to take the shot back in manila then you can have your fiance/e to take the shot here

i hope someone who has done their aos and went to a civil surgeon can help us out. im not an expert on this, im also in the process of getting my fiance get the shots so im trying to figure out what shots need to be administered out of saint lukes.

Hi! This is Jinky! :D We arrived in LAX, Friday, March 2nd and made it through immigration after about 30 minutes. The immigration officer looked very strict and he asked me where is Job's father. I asked him to repeat himself and then he asked if I was married to Job's father. So I just answered him, NO. Before I left, he told me if I don't want to get married that I can always go back to the Philippines...bwahahahaha. He only looked strict but he was okay - he even said, Welcome. So, after that we got our luggage. They didn't even ask for the x-rays.

I'm with my Steven now and he took us to an asian market on Saturday where I found so many home products - kangkong, calderita mix, chicken feet, and Filipino foods. I even bought Datu Puti vinegar...hehehe.

At the back of our churches weekly announcements, I found 3 Filipino dentists in our area. The church we go to has a community of Filipino's and Vietnamese.

I'll keep you all updated to a new life here!

welcome to the US jinkyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wonder which asian market you went to? hmm could it be 99 ranch? hahahahah ...

hey jelloshot! NBI clearances are good for a year. it's the police clearance that expires in a month so if he plans to bring one along with him (they didnt ask for boytoy's) then make sure he gets maybe a week or two prior to the interview.

as for what you make $40K is a good enough number. make sure you just have paystubs to support it and your employment letter as well as your 2005 W2 and 1040 alongside your affidavit of support. Im paranoid about these things so when i filled the one out for boytoy i included everything i had. 401k, bank account statements and a letter from the officer of my bank, even the mortgage of our home including the current assessed value of it (equity). i think i went overboard because the C/O only asked for the 2005 w2 and 1040 forms. the rest were ignored. he basically asked what i did at my work, how long i have been there and how much i made...

hope this helps.

Steven! thanks for the compliment. wait which dress were you talking about? hahaha reception or wedding dress? if you want, jinky can borrow mine. but she looks like a pretty tall woman so it may look short on her. hihihihi...

thanks sillygirl for the the comment as well :)

to all those whose interviews are coming up, good luck to you. pray hard and just try to relax. :) congrats again to all those who have recently gotten their interview dates. for those who are still waiting for the interview dates, i hope you guys get it soon. just a little bit more :) our prayers are with everyone ....

PWWWWWWWWW i forgot to tell you the area of delivery of the visa was in PASIG. it wouldve gotten to us two days earlier (friday 815AM was when we got the notification that the documents were out for delviery) but the delbros' persons motorcycle broke down that day so he made an effort to get it fixed and deliver it on sunday evening 930PM. we were so happy i think we just grabbed whatever money was laying out on boytoy's desk and gave it to the delbros guy as a tip. i think we gave 400 Php. hihihi

BJZags - Congrats once again my brotha! What's funny is that the Customs Officer asked three times more questions than the pre-interviewer and the consular officer combined. LOL! The Customes Officer even asked Jhen if her pearl necklace was real, and read through the POE packet given by the USE asking random questions. He was bored and had nobody to talk too. LOL! The questions were easy of course because we were prepared and Jhen knows me very well.

ALL - Oh, we went to the SSA yesterday and had no problem applying for my Baby's SS Card. All we needed was Jhen's Passport/Visa. I've read that some folks have problems applying because the employees don't know the rules.

Cheers!!!

Sheriff Uling

going to the ssa office today :D .... planning to take originals and copies of the passport and visa as well as the memo sent out to SSA employees with regards to issuing K1 visa holders SSA numbers.

uling you know why he asked if they were real? perhaps to make sure it didnt cost too much otherwise she would have to delcare it. hihih...

our c/o experience was funny. the systems were down when we arrived so we were standing in line for visitors only. my boytoy had his xray sheet with him and they were calling the USCs to go to another line so they can go ahead and process the usc's. i stayed in the visitors line and boytoy was with me. we stood there for about a good 20 minutes. there were three people (C/O's) who approached us and asked why i was standing there in the visitor's line. I said im with my fiance. when the systems finally went back up. we didnt even spend a minute in front of the c/o. he just went stamp stamp congratulations.

still waiting for the certified marriage certificates.... paperwork for AOS and EAD is ready.

Europe & Eurasia (except the UK and Russia)German people...rührt euch!!

Sonst alles klar hier in Berlin! So langsam wirds...Neues gibts bald.

Achso...so langsam tut sich was.

Nochmal hier: happy anniversary chnst! Konntet ihr was Schönes machen?

Gina: ohhhhh man!
Also wohl doch WES.

Babsi: YEAH!!! Glückwunsch! Wie weit?
