K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Parport issue - noa2 comming soon	is there a way so that you get the same number? from what i know, unless you lose your passport then your new passport will still have the same passport number. its not really a new one, but more of a renewed one. i had my fiance renew his passport because normally they dont allow you to travel to the US when your passport expires within six months of visa issuance. He just applied for a passport renewal, got the same passport number and his old passport back with holes on it. i guess to make sure that he doesnt use both passports in different instances. you may want to call your embassy to inquire passport renewals.... i hope this helps	YnaYeBa0808	Female	Philippines	2006-08-02 12:57:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 petition at lighning speed...	uling, heres an update, there were two packages sent to manila this week, one was sent on august 1afternoon and one today. our papers could be in either one... if ours were included on august 1 then as of today they have our paperwork (its saturday now so i dont think it matters since theyre probably closed on weekends) if our paperwork were sent out today, then im hoping it is going to get there on monday morning. either way, let's just call on monday to check. aww my case hasn't been sent to VCS s'ok though can't complain about my case.. many are less fortunate.. Did you mean NVC? i just called and they said that they had not received my petition yet but it didn't seem like they really checked. They asked when I got my NOA 2 and when I told them July 31st she immediately replied to give it 2 to 4 weeks... i've been calling, but couldn't get thru. if that's their response, i'll wait till next week before trying again. hi kids, jst to give you extra information, NVC takes calls until 12 Midnight... their 2-4 weeks is a standard answer. and maybe this tidbit of info would help, my noa2 was dated on the 24th, they didnt recieve my paperwork until the 31st. give them a couple of days and hopefully your paperworks will be there on monday if not tonight. good luck, let us know how it goes Edited by YnaYeBa0808, 04 August 2006 - 09:10 PM. This case has been approved. On August 3, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	one mor hour to go- ULING!	hi guys sorry just came to work. anywho, i called yesterday and got thru, the lady was nice enough to tell me they have received the electronic form of the file. thus being the case they would still have to wait til my actual paperwork gets there. at this point pretty much there is nothing i can do to speed up the process. i continue to ask her whether all october has filled up. I was under the impression that it wouldnt be since based on the timeline here in vj only one got an october interview date. their petitin was approved July 11. i guess i was just expecting too much from the manila US embassy. I continue on asking what would be the earliest available time of interviews and she said most likely that would be november... she said the wait now is 90-120 days... its really not that bad of a news... i know of people who have waited longer for an interview date in manila, 5-6 months but i guess the influx of paperwork/visa petitions esp k1 has increased alot... she said that once they get working on a case the paperwork (packet 4) is sent to the beneficiary and the USC receives a notification via snail mail that the packet has been sent out by the embassy in manila. the lady also said to call after a month and most likely they would have the interview day setup for us. im over it. theres nothing i can do but pray that november would mean november. will let you guys know when they physically receive paperwork shipped out last august 2. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA2 to NVC - how long?	just a tidbit. it varies from when you get the NOA2 until it reaches the nvc. as for my case it took about a week. but was shipped out to manila embassy a day or two later. Uling's timeline shows that his NOA2 was received on one day and same day NVC receives the paperwork. you may just want to call NVC to ask whether they do have your petition at hand. when NVC has it, you can call again maybe a day or two later and ask if they have already shipped it out. dont be discouraged if after one or two tries they give you the canned answer that itll take up to 90 days... i think. but its just SOP that they say that. try again the next day and you may find out that your paperwork has been sent to your beneficiary's embassy... as for an official notification, some people get a letter in the mail that NVC has received their case. In my case, i have not received one that said that NVC recieved it. but i did receive however a letter from NVC that my case has been forwarded to manila, almost a week after i found out from NVC that it has been shipped out. makes sense? i guess this would be better.... NOA2 - july 24 NVC received - July 31 NVC sent - AUG 2. I called on the third and found out it was shipped on the 2nd. Aug 7 - received official letter dated AUG 3 that my papers were shipped out to my beneficiary's embassy. i hope this helps somehow. oops i cant remember if it was 90 days, hmm i think they said 2-4 weeks. whatever...but it was too long of a wait so i called again the next day. hehee i just wanted to say that perseverance has its rewards... once a day shouldnt be bad.... i usually call at 11-12 PST. sometimes i get thru after one try, other times i got thru after four. not more than that though. i hope you guys get thru.
