K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Why???	At the USCIS they say that they process all the petitions and documents in the order they recieve them. I know that i have been told a thousand times that every petition is different but that is contradicting to what they say. The thing I want to know is WHY people in November have recieved their NOA2 when I turned my petition in, in OCT no touch AND NOTHING!!! This is also contradictry to what they tell you on the phone and on the internet. WHY They process in the order they receive. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Passport Photo Specifications	I got the lady at the photo place to redo mine...horrible glare off my glasses, couldn't see my eyes at all. PS...Did anyone else feel like all the touches were people pulling out your photo to laugh at it? No way, our touches were people pulling out our photos to swoon over! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K1 POE - which line for immigration clearance?	I know this gets asked here a lot, but the search feature appears to be offline or something! I swear I spent at LEAST 15 seconds looking for the answer to this question. So anyway. My fiance is coming on his K1 through POE Chicago tomorrow (yay!). When he goes through passport control, can he go in the US citizens / greencard holders lines, or should he stick to the "everyone else" lines? Thanks! ETA: I mean, logically you'd think it's obvious he should go in the foreigners line, but I'm sure people on here have reported getting through in the citizens line and, well, I just kinda wondered. This will instantly give me the NOA1 after they receive my paperwork, I hope. LOL did this guy just use the word instantly to describe some aspect of the visa process? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	SSN drama	Pigu arrived Tuesday night (yay!). We went to the local Social Security office yesterday to apply for his SSN and they said he couldn't get it without a work permit and we argued that he could and they said some kinda ####### about "this post 9-1-1 world" and checked with their manager, who said ever since 2005 K1s haven't been able to get SSN without a work permit. So, today he printed out the section from their online operations manual (dated January 2007) that says quite specifically and obviously that K1 class of entry is work authorized automatically (for purposes of getting SSN, not for purposes of actually getting a job) and does not need any other proof of work eligibility besides the visa and K1 I-94. So I've sent him trudging back across town to their office for round two, armed with printouts. We shall see! I will update! Anyway, thanks VisaJourney forums for having that link to the SSA manual page posted all the time. If it weren't for you guys, I really would have believed when the ladies at the office said he wasn't eligible. Your reaction, you talk about the money you have spent in flights and hotel. You email her and use her daughter as a tool of emotional blackmail. You then plan to go to the Phillipines and look for another woman. Her fears look well grounded to me. If one falls through, just move on to another. That seems right. I agree! If he is in US because he crossed illegaly the border then there is no way to do something for him, he should come back but without being detected. After that send a K1 visa and cross your fingers. If he outside of US u just send a K1 visa to him and if u are so worry about his problem with the law talk to your lawyer but in my opinion the only way to know if he can get a visa is actually send it one to him. c u later P.D. am not a lawyer or nothing like it, it's just my opinion.
